With MPAtool you can search for artist backgrounds and add them to your music library.
You can use the huge database from last.fm or any image stored on your device to beautify your music experience.
There are two attach modes available:
manual attach - to add a single picture
auto attach - to download pictures for your entire music collection
Later releases will include the option to import and export folders from your skydrive or dropbox account.
For now it's not possible to change existing pictures so you have to remove all the artists music first and add it again to make a 'picture reset'.

Very nice tool !!!!

My feedback...
Nice tool, same as WP7, you're the king man !!
PS : with WP8 device and 768 x 1280 resolution, can you add this resolution max in the quality settings?

Hey i've tried the app too and there is nice app to put my own wall papers to artists Very Nice !

Wow this is very nice! Can't wait to try this!
Btw, here's the generic app link for auto-redirect to your regional WP Store. http://www.windowsphone.com/s?AppID=9cc69d32-f030-4438-92ab-1a867448dbdb

Same functions and feel as the wp7 version, found no issues with it so far.

Sent from my Lumia 920

Been using this a few days now and it works great. Keep up the good work!

Now available in the Windows Phone 8 Store

Great tool!!!
I have been using for a couple of hours. It works as intended to and I personally like the manual attachment of images. Is there a way to automatically delete the dummy MPA files? One more request, do you have it in your plans to add album images?
Thanks.

You are right, the dummy files are annoying but I don't know any way to delete them, sorry.
The next version will bring the new feature of adding album covers/images, yes

Album art? Next update?! This is like a wet dream, only better because its actually true :good:
And deleting dummy files is as easy as mounting your phone in windows and delete the dummy file in your music folder - it doesn't bother me much to be honest.
Keep up the good work, I'll give you five stars and a vote!

Great App, Looking forward to the update with Album art, Good work :good:

Thank you!
Even on the phone it's easy to delete. I just found out that you can open the application bar and pick "select all" to delete if you are in selection mode (with these check boxes).
I thought about adding a small "welcome screen/tutorial" in a coming version like I did in the homebrew v 1.x
The album art feature is ready to test but needs some work because it's kind of slow on collections with many albums having no album art. I think I will push an update to the beta channel next week.

Great app. Working nicely. Got a number of albums w/o images - well not anymore... Thank you. Looking forward to update, eg autodeleting dummy files.

Autodeleting dummy files will not work without access to the file system or a method given to us by Microsoft to delete songs from the MediaLibrary.
So don't expect this function in the near future. Sorry about that

New Beta now available. Dowload at http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=9cc69d32-f030-4438-92ab-1a867448dbdb and give me some feedback about the new album art feature

Did i miss something
i am not sure if this is just me or what.
When i was trying to add custom image for certain artist, i select the image from my picture hub, but it seems not to save it. The selected artist is still not being assigned with the picture. Please help.
What i did
select custom picture -> select the artist -> select the custom picture -> select the atach button at the bottom (not sure if this is right). But the artist does not really change
Please advise

Is there already an image attached to the artist (a default image from the xbox music data base), or just the normal gray background ?

Yes, an Amazing Note Taking App!!!!
I've been waiting for this ever since I came to your website to check it out. I haven't tried it yet but from what I saw in the video you made, I know I'm going to love it.
Thank you very very very much for sharing.
Can this app replace the default one?
If it can, that's nice...because don't wanna have too many take-note appls...right....hope it can replace the default note...hehe...
thanks

One of the greatest!
WoW!!! Congratulations for this really GREAT app!!! As the rest of folks, i've been really looking for something like this.
My first impression is that 100% User & finger friendly! Didn't expected it to be even possible to write numbers easily (you know, i use notes mostly for taking some dimensions of my home's dimensions-furniture, i have several works at home
I've seen that the notes are stored wherever you install the app. From my point of view, one thing "missing" is the possibility to select this storage folder, in my case i usually install apps in main memory but the data in internal storage, so that whenever i reflash my diamond, i only have to reinstall the app and chage that setting to be "done" again. And finally, initially pointed out by another one in the thread, it would be great being able to edit/view/manage notes already created by the default note app (i mean, the app that sucks XD).
Anyways, really great app. We salute you (at least me X-D)

[Q] How to automate Bing Daily Image as my Android background?

Anyone know of a way to get the Bing daily background as my Android phone's background?
(on an automated daily basis without user intervention)
There are a lot of wallpaper switching apps, but none of them link to Bing's daily image.
If there were an app that would set the wallpaper from a URL (http://mydomain.com/image.jpg) on a daily basis, then I could scrape the Bing image and host it for retrieval.
If I could even just find a wallpaper app that switches on a daily RSS feed, I could create my own feed to expose Bing's daily image. But alas, haven't found any apps that do so.
Google gives me this. Its an apk file.
http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/Wallpapers/Phils-Fractal-Wallpaper-Lite-108354.shtml
You could automate that with tasker or locale. Set it to repeat every 24 hours, then have it get the file and save it, then set the wallpaper as that image.
Should be fairly straightforward.
I haven't found a way to make Tasker or Locale get an image from a URL and save it to the sdcard.
Connect the developer of WallMe, he's looking into this and already supports Flickr.

Is the bing wallpaper url fixed? There is a binary of wget you can use to retrieve the file and rename it locally. Don't know how to set it as the wallpaper from a script though

The Bing wallpaper URL changes daily
Nice find on SA
I have one app bing daily wallpaper
just search "bing daily wallpaper" in the android market
if you need, I can add one function to run as a service and download /setup the wallpaper automatically.

do you want the chopped version or the full version
hi there,
since the wallpaper of bing is wide enough for the wallpaper by default
so either chose one portal of picture as a chopped option,
or we can just the landscape mode to show the full picture, let me know

You can try my app here at market
Search: Bing Daily Wallpaper int Google Play
I saw reports of the app being updated for Android with automatic wallpaper update each day.
I installed the app on my HTC One Mini, kept an app shortcut on the Main screen and set the Bing image as wallpaper. But it still won't update each day.
What settings do I change?
So I wanted to do this and searched around the interwebs and didn't really find anything. Most things were either apps for reddit, or old methods that no longer worked.
I ended up doing it myself via Tasker. If someone is curious, I can post what I did here in a more specific way but a quick explanation is that I have a profile set up to kick off at 5:30AM which then has 1 task with 5 actions associated with it. The actions together, HTTP Get the XML from Bing, parse the changing link and append it onto www.bing.com. Then I use this to HTTP Get the image itself, save it to a directory on the phone with the date in the name (solely for archival purposes and not necessary) and then apply the wallpaper. It was pretty straight forward actually.

I don't really have the time to actually put a full walkthrough together at the moment, but I've attached the exported task, which is the bulk of the effort. With this, you can execute the task manually and it will work just fine. In order to schedule it, you have to create a time based profile which executes the task which is real easy. The way I did it, just because I thought I might want them later, was to save the images based on the date that they were live. It saves them to a folder on the root of the sdcard named Bing. If you don't want them archived, just delete %DATE in the final 2 steps in the task. Specifically in the final 2 screenshots.
Here are some screenshots of the profile which schedules the task that is the XML that is attached to this post:

Thank you for going to so much trouble. I'm constantly amazed at how much effort people go to to help others on XDA
I highly recommend the app Cool Daily Wallpaper from the Play Store.
It automatically downloads from Bing and change the wallpaper automatically daily. Plus the images are in high resolution (1920x1080), without the Bing watermark, and saved to a Bing/ folder on the sdcard. This makes it very easy to also use the downloaded images for a Dreamscene or screensaver.
Very low resource usage, since it is not a live wallpaper.

PrecieUX: Opulence is a one-click-applicable home screen decoration pack for BuzzLauncher users. Even if you have never used BuzzLauncher before, you can easily apply this beautiful home screen on your own device (whichever phone it may be) with a few clicks. If you do find it appealing, how-to-apply procedures are prepared for you at the bottom of this post.
Before moving on, please watch the teaser video I've prepared for you. I took time and care producing this video, so please watch in HD!
As the video read, certain privileges are available to only a number of special people. . . people like you. Opulence will bring the luxurious life-style that you deserve to your phone.
Ground up photoshopped matching pixel-to-pixel accuracy, tile-icons boast elegant details in even the phones with the highest resolution available in market today: Full HD (1920 x 1080). Designed and developed using Samsung's flagship Galaxy S4, Opulence is compatible with devices with other resolutions such as but not limited to HD (1280 x 720) or WVGA (800 x 480). Do not worry whether Opulence is going to look the same on your phone, because BuzzLauncher will automatically adjust layout and size of icons for your phone, whichever screen-size or resolution it may have.
Opulence is composed of 3 tabs: Main, Media and RSS. When you're in each of the three tabs, bottom of the tab you're in will glow to indicate the tab you're in. To switch to a certain tab, simply touch the tab you wish to switch to. Switching tab-to-tab is simply gorgeous: it feels like turning on a light-bulb by pressing on it.
The first tab of Opulence is "Main". Graceful widgets intuitively deliver to you information regarding date, time, your schedule, location and the weather. It has never been easier to see the important information so conveniently and so tastefully. Bottom third of the screen has short-cuts to the most necessary functions of your smartphone: downloading new applications, contacting your friends through social network services (folder containing short-cuts to different apps) and using your telephony services. The bottom dock is constant in all 3 tabs. Left tells you the percentage of battery you have left, and right tells you the time. Pressing the "Apps" icon will summon your phone's app-drawer that has all of your applications.
The second tab is your playground. It is worth a lot to live up to tight schedules, but sometimes you should enjoy good music or watch sensational movies. A big album-art of the album you're listening to decorates your second tab, so this tab will be automatically personalised to you individually according to the music you prefer. Without having to leave your home-screen, you can control your music player using the stylish control-icons already prepared for you. The Internet icon connects you to Google Chrome (but the short-cut can be directed to another application if you prefer another browser), and the Multimedia icon is a folder that contains apps most frequently used when listening to music or viewing your pictures and videos.
The third tab, as its name implies, has a gigantic RSS reader widget. Just pull out your phone from your pocket and unlock; the information you want to read will be updated and ready for you. (Press the bottom right corner of the RSS widget to add/remove RSS feeds). If the website you like does not support RSS, you can also choose to make bookmarks to your favorite websites and store them in the Bookmarks folder on the same screen.
To have PrecieUX: Opulence as your home-screen, please follow these steps:
* for convenience, you can choose to access http://www.bluepremium.co.kr/entry/PrecieUX-Opulence-Global. Then you can simply press on the following links.
1. Download and install BuzzLauncher by Buzzpia. Link: http://goo.gl/zSTxU
2. Access PrecieUX: Opulence homepack page: http://goo.gl/THRmS
3. Press "Download"
4. After applying Homepack, you can apply icons as you wish by downloading the icon pack for Opulence from the following link: http://bluepremium.co.kr/attachment/[email protected]
5. If you like Opulence, please take a minute to press the "like" button on Buzz Launcher. I've thoroughly explained the process in the following link.
http://bluepremium.co.kr/236. 1 minute you spare for me will mean a lot to me. Thank you.
Thank you, and enjoy your opulent life-style.

I am looking for the ultimate music app.. :)

hi guys! I am looking for the best music app for my defy, maybe you can help!
I tried many (poweramp, n7player, musixmatch, xenoamp, play music, winamp etc etc), but still I couldn't find one that can do all the things I need!
the features I am looking for are:
- possibility to hide/exclude folders from the music library
- sleep timer
- show lyrics (without installing extra apps or plugins)
..which player can make them all?
Even poweramp that everyone says is the best app in the world didn't like me because of the lyrics (he needed a third app to show them)
thanks in advance bye!

I don't know if threads like this "what is the best ____" is following xda guideline rules [this can bring unwanted argumentations between users...
But nevertheless, Re. Playerpro
This ain't quite true...
Go in:
Settings/Music library/Music folder
and select your 'root' music folder and hit the check box to set the limit (see screenshot).
That way, anything outside that folder will be excluded. Now it's up to you to move stuff in and out of that directory as you please with a file manager...
As for the lyrics search, it doesn't work for me either...
But I can live with that because my copy of the app might not be legit and I prefer to cut its internet access with Droidwall anyway...
Besides, you can always use your browser and find those... There might even be a way to link those to the song for offline access... I would need to dig more on this though as I don't know if it is really possible and what file format would be needed...
(I'm a fan of that player also and love the powder blue skin on it)
Cheers
/A
thanks for the answer. I did see that option you speak about, but as you say I would still need to move unwanted music files outside the selected folder, which is not a flexible solution at all
I much prefer apps that let me choose what to do with every single folder
right now I am using media monkey, and think will stay with it. I love the nice and clean gui, I can add/remove all the folders I want, and I love how the lyrics are found! just scroll left on the album art while playing a song, and lyrics appear almost immediately from inside the app. Also, they are saved so that will not be downloaded again next time you play that song
only think I am really missing is sleep timer, but I see in the support forum it should be added in future releases, so in the meantime I am using a external app to quit the player after a given time..
tx bye!!
Power amp !

Hi there, am in a trial of Stellio and awaiting my android wear device to play with it properly.
Being super critical here (apologies in advance) my only comment would be to tweak the phone homescreen widget a bit.
I love the options we are given with poweramp like adjustable background transparency, lots of different themes etc and I think with the clean and well layout design of stellio, the widget just lets it down a little.
But apart from that am loving your work!
pretty good app, but in the wear version of the song browser, its missing the album list after you select artist, it just goes to a list of all the songs by that particular artist. The addition of album list by artist as well as perhaps grid view in the phone browser would make this my go-to over poweramp.
Now my favourite music app.
Top Right conflicts a little with mini launcher, which I have in the top right position, but it's just one extra swipe needed.
love controlling music from my lg g watch:laugh:

Thanks for suggestion! I added it to my todo list. Very likely that i implement both suggestions.
Can anyone make a few screenshots of app on a rounded screen (moto360) ?
Hi.
Player does't work with Xperia Z Ultra (4.4.4), can't find any music files and force closes even if I directly choose the music folder (on SDCard1). Moto360 plugin also does FC every 10-15 seconds.
Очень жаль...
WBR, Draco.
I'm loving the look of this application! But how will it look on a Moto 360 smartwatch? Well, guess we'll see once it arrives :]

Tried to take screenshots using adb but the result is just the full screen square version instead of a cropped 360 version. I figured the goal was to see the layout so i just took pictures instead. Theres a bit of blur cuz its been resized from 16mp to 480 width  if you want the bigger ones i can post those also.
The link doesn't seem to work.. How can I get this app?
Been looking for an android wear music player that can do fast forwarding/rewind or scrubbing.. Does this support that?
Gone?

I've been using Stellio for awhile now. SOLID! AWESOME!
Any links to apk?
Or the owner purposely stopped distributing?
