Hi,
as you say it is with all ROMs and even after full wipe my only guess is that your battery is weak.
I would perhaps just try a new battery, they're quite cheap at ebay.
I have CM7 (nightly build) on my mini pro and no problems with battery drain. But I'm no heavy user, just a few sms or short calls per day, no games, no online apps. Most of the time my phone sleeps in standby with screen off. My battery shows 70-80% at the end of the day. I think that's quite ok for a little phone with a small battery. I heard the facebook app sucks battery like hell. But I don't use it, so I can't prove.
My settings are:
Clockspeed: 768 max / 122 min
Undervolt: on
Governor: smartass v2
Ultrabrightness: on
Wfi: off (only "on" when I really need it)
Bluetooth: off (I don't use it)
GPS: off (only "on" if really needed)
GSM/UMTS Data: off (only "on" when I really need it)
Maybe I could help.

Personally, I do a "wipe battery stats" from CWM now and then (let's say... every 2 weeks) and I have more than 48 hours (up to 72) usage with normal conditions.
Definitely works. Give it a try...

Thanks guees is d battery

Go back to stock kernel for a couple of weeks, that might solve your battery drain.

u have to use InteractiveX as governor and 600MHz as max cpu frequency.. turn off ultra brightness and under voltage options and set brightness to %25-35 and try to off the screen when not in use then u will see ur battery drains over 40-50 hours...

There is no battery drain, your phone sleep when screen is off. Nothing is draining there. I have a x10mini, constant watsapp, won't last me a day. No games no browsing.

Me too have the same problem...

I had been fighting my battery for months, as it was getting worse and worse. It got to the point where using data would use 1-2% per minute, and at some point my phone would last 4 hours with minimal to no use.
Things that helped:
1- Finding what apps could be draining battery made the phone last up to 20h with little use. (In my case, Go Locker).
2- When I started using wifi only (like an ipod touch, let's say) without SIM, battery went up to ~24h with medium wifi use.
3- Flashed nAa's latest kernel and installed MiniCM7-2.2.1, and the first charge lasted ~40h. Then I found out I hadn't even enabled airplane mode yet.
4- Charged to 100%, removed battery stats, airplane mode on and gave it a bigger wifi use. 46h and it's down to 13%. When not using it, drains nearly no battery. This night it stayed at 14% for 10 hours.
Overall I'm very pleased with where it is going. I know I'm a new member do this may not even me worth $0,02, but I do belive the wipe + new kernel and ROM made a world of diference.

in all custom roms, is the same

[Q] Battery Life

Hi Everyone,
I am disappointed with the battery of Optimus One.
My Battery in Standby (GPS/Wi-fi/3g/Sync/Screen, ALL OFF and without USE ), does not last even 20 hours.
I have an application that shows what application is consuming more battery power and the "phone in standby mode" takes up 95%!
What are your experiences with this battery?
Mine has problems?
Thx
I bought it one week ago and the battery last one day with no problem (and it's not at its full "potential" since is new). When did you buy the phone?
I bought it 2 weeks ago
Using a custom rom you won't be disappointed with your battery no more...
I have openOptimus Rom with Franco kernel 15. I am at 85% battery after 14 hours. The phone has been pretty much idle.
Only 2G networks
Data disabled
Wi-fi on
Auto-sync on
Overclocked 480/729 interactive (interactive may not be optimal)
I'm using franco kernel v15.1 with devoid.franco, i'll try do update do devoid.froyo.final today.

Hi, what is data disabled? and how to put only 2g networks?
20 hours on idling? Send it back for repair/replace. Mine will last days if left idling (about 1% every two hours)
When I travel I turn all data connections off (Bluetooth, wifi, gps, data) and it lasts about 3days

Here are some potential things to turn off that might make the battery last longer. They are all in the settings app. I do not do all these since I find that some things might make the battery last longer but reduce the usefulness of the phone.
Setting/Display/Brightness
Setting/wireless & networks/wi-fi off
Setting/wireless & networks/bluetooth off*
Setting/wireless & networks/mobile networks/use only 2G networks*
Setting/wireless & networks/mobile networks/data enabled off* (I have this turned off all the time as I do not have a data plan.)
The items * I have off unless I am actively using them. I also overclock my Optimus. I think that this probably gives me a longer battery life, since it is running at 480 when I am not using it. I suppose if I was desperate, I would undercloack the phone (min 480 and max 480).
What version of Android are you running? 2.2 or 2.2.1/2.2.2?
When you click on Cell Standby, how much Time Without Signal does it show?
follow these steps and i think ull have what you want..
go to battery use and click on cell standby : then see time without signal. how much does it show ? if its above even one percent (unless uve mannually put ur device in airplane mode) i know the problem.
go to settings >wireless & network settings > mobile network > mark 2G only (if u are not using 3G) cause the cell might spen loads of battery searching for 3G.. then go to network operators and search for (mannually) and select ur own network provider.. like mine is airtel.. then let your battery run down totally.. completly to zero. then recharge your phone to full without any break.. this is called recaliberation. then see how much your battery lasts..
remember to turn off bletooth, wifi, internet, all ! while the phone is idle and you wont be using it for sometime. or, if you wont be doing or getting any calls or sms, consider switching to airplane mode..
you might be getting less battery if ur in a area with weak signal strength.. this makes the phone go wilder to search for signal. in these conditions, switch to airplane mode if you can . thatll save a lot of battery. and also during night if you want to.
dont hesitate to click the thanx if i helped !
EDIT: and ya every thing that the person after me 'Y.u.v.i' said.. though those are normal things and brightness level is most important..
and about francos kernel, ive had many f/c s with mik's cm7 beta 6.2.5 ..i prefer its own kernel , though dunno for other roms.. u might wanna try it.. ill try myself too..
yes ..few step here u can try
1.reduce ur brightness level to minimum ...
2. use 2g signal only.
3. turn off all extra connection like wi-fi , Bluetooth, auto sync , data.
4. use advance task killer and set it to auto kill app aftr every 30 mints.
5.automatic screen time to 30 sec.
6.if u r using custom ROM use Franco 15.1 kernal . and wipe battery after charging it up-to 100%
use thanks if u like my post ...
I did all the tips posted here. Let us now see what happens

I'm using 2.2
7% without signal.
Sorry for the dumb question (about 2.2 or 2.2.x) - I didn't read the first page carefully enough.
Try this: reboot, then enable airplane mode, lock your screen and leave it like that for about a minute, unlock screen, disable airplane mode.
Are you still seeing Time Without Signal? (of course, after a few hours, not straight away)
EDIT:
DON'T do any of the following:
- reduce brightness to 1%... come on, be serious! you really like squinting at the screen? screen brightness doesn't affect battery life that much anyway...
- don't use task killers! it doesn't matter if you have little RAM - it's there to be used. I will not go into details about this (there's whole threads about it), but trust me!
You could also try monitoring your apps with https://market.android.com/details?id=com.zomut.watchdoglite&feature=search_result and see if any of them start behaving wildly and keep your CPU awake.
Another thing would be to try Nessy Hypnos2... I had great battery life when using that ROM! If you're still experiencing the same battery drain with a fresh install of Hypnos, then I'm sorry to tell you but you'll probably have to send your phone for repairs.
I ended up recharging the phone two hours ago and it is at 91%.
Was 9% in 2 Hours - 4,5% per Hour. Very Bad...
...with nothing in use.
Only 2g networks
wi-fi/dates/sync/bluetooth ( ALL OFF )
Screen OFF (black, with -0% of brigth, because he is OFF)
I install Battery Monitor Widget that estimates my uses of battery in:
18h52m of Discharge (100->0%)
and 5h of charg in USB and 3h of charge inc AC.
I'm installing watchdog now, to see if have an App draining battery.
EDIT:
But I do not think that's because I have an application that shows the the CPU clock in%.
480MHz = 80%
729Mh = 20% or less
and another that shows the applications that consume battery
and Cell Standby = 90%

[Q] Wolfbreak's V6 - battery issues...help!

I'm a long time lurker, first time poster, so please...go easy on me as I'm still trying to figure out the lingo and what not!
Anyhow, I just recently installed V6 and everything is absolutely great - except my battery goes down faster than <insert whatever reference you want here..hockey goalie, boxing, sexual>
I initially tried flashing over V5 and that's when the issue started - V5 was fine the way it was, but was starting to eat up the battery a little quicker - maybe due to a couple of new apps installed? did a full wipe and reinstalled v6 and am experiencing the same issue
I don't know if it's a problem with my actual battery or what...anyone have any suggestions?
Fully charge the battery until the green charged light goes off then reboot into XRecovery and wipe your battery stats.

Alternatively, there's the battery calibration app.
Alternatively, build your own stock ROM. Wolfs ROM has IMHO too many uneccesary tweaks that drain the battery... although his performance ROM has awesome battery (I'm using it right now)... lol I dunno why..

Well its tough to explain u, but use set cpu and reduce the maximum processing speed to 384. The battery will be consumed to the lowest. I have done the same. And my x10 works for min 1.5 day.

Not sure if my problem is the same but my phone WB v6 (even on v5) will turn off when used heavily i guess (less than 5min video games seem to be ok but other apps will do it randomly). but the battery will say like 65% whatever it should be from the use so far after a reboot most of the time i have then same % as before the umm crash but sometimes it shows 25% and turns off then if i leave it for a bet i get back to the higher % but will still crash with a little app use. Frustrating as i LOVE the ROM!
So far no crash during phone calls. But the crashes are no rhyme or reason. I have tried calibrating and full flash but it came back.
(would have posted in the ROM thread but i have too few postes and this seemed a better place)
Hung Wei Lo: which version are you using? Try lowering min frequency, adjust settings (like brightness). I'm on v6 with Freekernel and I get 2-3 days on a full charge. Maybe an app is preventing your phone from entering deep sleep.
Rabbit Stew: are you overclocking? Try a full wipe including battery stats, then installing v6s. The stock version should be the most stable.
Here's two methods that work for me.
To me the battery calibration app, is USELESS, no offence to the developer.
1. Wiping battery stats: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943626
or
2. Optimizing battery with just a charger and phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071885
Don't go anymore then 5 tries.
I figured I'd give an update on this..
Things had magically sorted themselves out - battery life got better and better each day, though not to the point most of you are getting (I'm talking MAYBE 14 hours of minimal usage - the odd facebook check, random text message etc)
As suggested, I've set the min. frequency to the lowest possible, screen timeout is at like 30 seconds
As of the past couple of days, I've been getting half that...no new apps installed all the same settings...wifi is off, brightness is set to 25%, no gps usage all I have on is data. As an example, I charged her up and unplugged it with an hour to go before I was done at work. an hour ride on the subway doing nothing but listening to some tunes, and I'm down to 60%...in two hours
I'm at wits end here...according to cpu spy here are my most recent stats:
998 - 0:01:49 - 35%
576 - 0:00:-4 - 1%
384 - 0:00:03 - 3%
245 - 0:00:52 - 17%
deep sleep - 0:02:11 - 42%
thoughts (related to this issue)? suggestions? ideas?
is calibrating the battery will solve the phone randomly restart??
In my infinite wisdom, I'd have to seriously doubt it...did you do a fresh install?

Extremely high battery drain in CM7

Hi there.
So I flashed Cyanogenmod7 to my Optimus One
I'm very happy with it, however, there's a problem
On official froyo and 2.3.3 official gingerbread, i had the data connection ON and wifi on,too. So whenever I left the house, it would switch to data. And it wasn't on 2g,it was on HSDPA. Anyway, the battery consumption was barely noticeable, especially in standby mode.
However, if i do the same thing now, on CM, the battery drain is enormous
Wifi does not consume a lot, but whenever it switches to mobile data, the battery consumption is 10% / HOUR in IDLE mode, using the Smartass governor 245-600MHz, making the phone useless. And this is the consumption in standby mode...when I use it it's a lot worse. This problem makes me unable to use the mobile internet without returning home with a dead phone.
Is there a fix for this? Does anyone have the same problem?
Yes, i have the latest version of CM7, for my model,p500. Is it because of the old baseband?
Thanks in advance for any help
i encountered this for the first few days when i flashed to CM7 too
battery drop so quickly even when its at standby mode for 8 straight hours.
but after using for weeks, the battery begun to last longer, can last up to 2 days with light usage (some texting and tweeting)
im getting minimum of 4 days battery on cm7 -.-
Try this
1. Charge your battery to 100 percent.
2. Reboot into recovery and wipe battery stats.
3. Completely discharge the phone till the state it switches off.
4. Charge again.
Maybe it will help.

@OP: Which CM7 version? What kernel?
This is not usual.
I'm getting few days with CM7. Try calibrating the battery with Battery Calibrator from the market.
I already calibrated with the app from the Market
Charged to 100% ,Calibrated, discharged to 0%,then fully charged.
I did this twice.i dont think this is the problem.
I did a test :
Yesterday, when I first saw the problem,i had data enabled.I got 10 hours of battery life with the phone Idle (locked, yes.)
Today, i didn't enable data.I had 99% battery after 2 hours of idling. I guess that's normal.
So, i already know the problem. the data connection does this to the battery, but why?... as i said, when I was using the official froyo and gingerbread,i had both data and wifi enabled and i had absolutely no problem with battery drain...

This is called battery calibration.Whenever u flash a new rom,u need to calibrate ur battery so that it wont show u the stats of ur previous rom.If u dont wipe battery stats, sometimes the phone may switch off fue to low power at 15-20% or strange things like virtual increase in battery % by 2-3 %.So it is required to wipe battery stats,so after booting the phone,a new battery stats file is created and it wont give false info.

There's no need to completely discharge a Li-ion battery, it can in fact damage the battery.
Proper steps:
1. Charge your battery to 100 percent.
2. With phone still plugged in, reboot into recovery and wipe battery stats.
3. Reboot phone
4. Wait for phone to completely boot up then unplug.
5. Calibration complete

I checked for apps that consume internet.I don't have any.Facebook would be one,but that's all.
I read something about the older versions (official ones) of the firmware using something called NETMGRD to reduce the battery drain caused by the APN being on..
what do you guys think about this?
And also, since you asked about the kernel :

If i use 2g continously i get batrey lyf of 3.5 hrs..

That's pretty outdated kernel. Flash a new one.
I get good battery life using the 2x Battery program that cuts off the 3G data when the screen is off and opens it at a set time (every 30 mins on mine) to check for email etc instead of constantly when the screen is off.
One of your major killers i see is the constant WiFi, with it and GPS if your not actively using them turn them off.
---------- Post added at 08:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:47 PM ----------
Forgot to add, the rule of thumb is anything that uses a hardware component uses battery power.
GPS
Wifi
Cell Radio (2g,3g,Phone)
Screen
Vibrate motor
Speaker
It takes power to make those work so the less you use some of them the longer the battery lasts.
Anyone that drives at night knows the effect of turning on the wipers, the radio, the lights and the blower fan on high to clear off the windshield and seeing the voltage gauge lowering from the heavy voltage draw.

[Q] Very poor battery life

Hi!
I just got my Xperia Mini Pro (a week ago).
I immediately flashed it with CM10 #146 and overall I'm satisfied with it's resoponsivness and performance. The only thing that worries me is horrible battery life, I just charged it this morning and now, about 6 hours later (20 mins of talking, about 15 messages) my battery's at 35%. I'm not using any data conenction, I have switched it to 2G only, my signal is strong, I have reduced screen brighness to about 75%, and I keep both BT and GPS off. I do use wifi, but that's like 10 mins a day. My phone came with a 1160mAh battery, which I know is not the most powerful one, but baraly 1 day of batteyr life in a brand new phone, and being forced to charge it every evening just scares me
Is this normal for these Xperias? My old Wildfire used to last about 2-2,5 days.
Yes. It is normal for me. I charge my phone everyday.
You can lower your brightness or apply battery tweaks to preserve battery life
Sent from my WT19i
You can try another kernel, for instance MESA 2.2, and undervolt a bit. I get about 2 days of battery with that kernel and some init.d and build.prop tweaks.
I don't really fancy any of those ubertweaked-hardocre-v6-megaoptimized kernels and stuff. Cyanogen mod does the job for me, and I don't really want to "overtweak" antything I'm just gonna have to stick with what I have I guess.
I don't think that flashing it with stock FW (which I'd hate to do) will help it?
Christ... I don't get it... A friend of mine has an Xperia LWW with the same battery, the same CPU, and she charges it like three times a week, while I'm gonna have to charge it like seven times a week. It's just wrong. I hope that the battery will get a bit better over time, and I'll be able to use for at least 24h without looking for the charger.

Yeah man, but i guess she hasnĀ“t flashed cm10... ROM consumes battery as well. If you were on stock firwmare as i guess she is, then you would have almost the same battery backup
Always check that sync is off. Cause it will drop battery bar easily. Of course in case you don't need sync.
And check build.prop. there's 2-3 lines which will help the phone to deep sleep better. (Search xda)
I myself use aokp jb with messa kernel and with normal usage it takes me 1.5 day.

Best Comb
I respect all the developers but with due respect and personal opinion:
Kernel : Kernel PAnic v2.5(ICS) and Rage 3.0(GB)
ROM : Smultronic v 5.0(ICS) and Spartan v2.05(GB)
Brightness : 40%
Sync off
I get a usage of about 2 days on both of these roms...and if u are a light user i mean if u play no games them HyperBeamCream is really good for ICS.
well...1 day battery life is abt normal for our fones which have1200 mah battery,,,,can't help it:crying:
well the simplest way to take a step for solution is changing kernel to mesa cause with fxp 146 kernel there was a horrible battery drain for me also. Reduce the screen brightness & turn off 3g if u dont need it
i suggest mesa with CM10 too .
You could also decrease processor speed in standby, I think normally it's 250 but you can put like 125.
In cm10 mesa kernel does the job... It really saves the battery... And one more thing is that, give it some time... The battery will become normal after a few days of usage...

Auto brightness, turn it on. NFC, Bluetooth turn it off. I always suggest that users turn on extended standby mode but some people want their whatsapp or email to come through instantly all the time which I can understand but it's a real life saver for me, I personally don't have a massive issue with my battery, lasts a whole day, sometimes less if I use the phone heavily.

Your emails would come as soon as you turned on your device anyway could you screenshot your battery usage please?
i don't know how to take screenshots
i understand that the e-mails arrive as soon as i turn the phone on, but this is not ok...it will become a habit to look at the phone ....
Very easy to do, hold volume down and the power button

I think there is also a problem with reading the actual battery level (hopefully not hardware). The other day mine dropped from 15% to 0% in 10 seconds. This has happened a few times before when the battery gets around that level.

i have to root the device and to be honest, i am sick of it ...
attached screenshots...bare in mind that 3 hours the phone was on 2G and the display was as dark as possible (unable to see anything in the day light)
You could use clockwork recovery to erase the battery stats as well. I don't think you need root for it.
You charge to 100%, reboot into recovery erase battery stats, unplug and boot normal. After that you let it drain on its own until dead.
I've read that sometimes it worked after the second calibration or something but i believe it might be user error.
I erase the stats every time I flash a new rom. ...
I am now on 2.3.7. ... Maybe is better

Battery stats doesn't do anything: http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...-battery-stats-does-not-improve-battery-life/
That is, it essentially holds the information displayed in the Settings > Battery screen. Nothing more, nothing less. Thus:
It has no impact on the current battery level shown to you.
It has no impact on your battery life.

I would advise you to update your phone to the latest firmware, it has better battery management... If you are rooted, you can try custom kernel like ThP or Sliding_XP and custom Rom based on stock... I used to get only 10-12 hours of battery life in 2.3.7 before rooting.. The steps I took to improve battery life are:
1) Root the phone, add init.d and build.prop tweaks or install a Rom that has tweaks like Brain_ICS or XPT's Vision Roms.
2) Use any custom kernel based on stock that are tweaked to give better performance and battery life, along with above Roms
3) Switch off WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC when not in use. Or better, use NFC tags to switch settings (like WiFi on only at home, Bluetooth on only in car)
4) Keep the brightness to the minimum setting when indoors and keep it in auto brightness when outdoors.
5) I live in an area which has better 2g coverage. In network settings, if you set the network mode to select only gsm, battery life vastly improves as there is no searching and switching for a 3g connection. Also I find that staying in 2g gives better network clarity. I shift to 3g when I require high speed browsing only.
6) I usually keep data connected with auto sync on and extended standby mode on. If you switch off extended standby off, you can last through the day but only if you reduce the amount of apps syncing and the polling time of each app. In my case, I have switched off syncing for Twitter, facebook, Google+ etc and sync only for Google contacts, calender and Gmail.
7) I also have automated the phone to switch to airplane mode from midnight to early morning.
By the time I get home from work, I have at least 40% battery remaining. On the whole, I get 22hours on average and I have got 1day 12 hours maximum from my Xperia P. And happy with my choice.

Forgot two things:
I keep all location services switched off and turn it on only when required. This prevents the Map app from unnecessarily polling for location and helps save battery.
And sorry for such a long post. There won't be a tldr.

Just had this weird experience, battery was on 1 percent then I rebooted my phone using power button and volume up, then my battery shot up to 28 percent

that was android normal problem....thats why developer making phone by using high capacity battery (motorola razr maxx) . By using 3000mAh battery also just give certain phone for 2 days (using galaxy note 2). Android jelly bean suck battery juice faster because of its f***** project butter (uses cpu and gpu at the same time). Now phone developer starts frustrated on android...hehe (from my speculation)
Android problem how?
Almost all smartphones last about 1 day. Don't blame the Operating System it's the same battery life in all smartphones. Blame the battery technology.
