Go to Goo.im Downloads in the JB HyDro Rom by Seanscreamz and download the asus bloat.zip here:
http://goo.im/devs/seanzscreams/Asustf300Jellybean/Addons/Asu-JellyBean Bloat.zip
This is a flashable addon but before you flash all of the bloatware back, unpack the zipp, and select the bloatware you want and rezip the file.. u get the idea. Goodluck!

I have tried to help two others get stock browser and stock keyboard working on cm10, unscessfully.
Standard practices don't work here. That would be place the two files in /system/apps/, change permissions to 0644, and reboot.
stock rom is Odex and cm10 is De-Odex - Odex has 2 files (1 apk and 1 odex ) for each app and De-Odex has one (apk ). I even De-Odexed both times and still no luck.
I'll tell you how I'd get the files to work with and you can try if you wish.
cm10 so you should have twrp or cwm recovery
go into recovery backup cm10, then restore your stock backup, reboot. go to /system/apps and copy the two files and paste them into root of your sdcard. reboot recovery, restore your cm10 backup.
For your own protection you should have 2 stock backups ( one clean with just setup ) and ( one as you like to use it ) you should have the same for cm10 or whatever rom you like. These should also be stored on your external sdcard. I tend to keep another on my pc as well.
The great thing about custom recovery is the ability to make a complete backup anytime you wish and restore anytime.
I use twrp, I can name the backup and direct it to the external sdcard to backup or restore, it has a file browser and a terminal as well.
Good luck!
I'll try to answer any questions you may have if you wish to try this or maybe someone else will provide the files for your use.

It may be in the cleanrom2.1 bloatware, ill check it out and get back to you
Edit: Here it is, If im not mistaken

Do you see it in applications? If so you can start logcat from adb, then try to run app and look for an error ( such as missing library file, etc ).

The app is not installed for some reason so I can't run it :s

This is the same point I had to give on my two previous attempts.
I notice you were given a single file so I assume it was De-Odexed.
I did look through the /system/lib files and didn't see anything I could identify as likely.
With the information I presented earlier I had hoped someone would take an interest and help.

Either app backup is not included or does not install in cm10.

Can't you just extract it from Tasks rom?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
That seems like the obvious answer but for some reason if I just replace the browser apk in system/app with the one from task's rom the browser just FC's.
Clear browser data and don't forget to set correct permissions, use root explorer or similar. Set rw-r--r--
I'm pretty sure this will work.
Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda premium
Yes, clearing browser data should work.
Push to /system/app set permission to: rw-r--r-- (just as Patrics83 stated)
Then go to Settings, Applications, Manage applications Then choose: All
Scroll down to Browser in the list and click it. Then click on "Clear cache"
That should do the trick...

Are you flash with your stock rom?
If yes, you need to remove your old browser and the browser.odex..
If no, what kind of ROM? From the zip..i try to extract the files and see the script, and not find the command for set permissions..its just me or maybe someone recognize this..
Just find deodexed version of your browser from custom ROM zip files, thats the safest way..
give me the correct apk, and i try help you with the flashable zip..
this is flashable zip..just install from recovery..

Omega rom question...Please help!!

Hi,
I'm posting this question here in the hopes that someone will be kind enough to help me since I don't have the post count to post in the development section.
I installed the omega ROM and really like it but I need the Email.apk that is not included in this ROM. When I copy the Email.apk from other 2.3.6 stock based ROMs the app constantly FCs. Does anybody have an Email.apk and/or Email.odex that will work with this ROM.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers!!
Should i suggest a thing?
First backup your system.then go flash any rom which has that that email.apk.
Then open titanihm backup and backup the email app. Then go to cwm recovery and restore omega rom and then restore the app again via titanium backup. This shud work
. If it doesnt work then tell me. I will upload the email apk.

Thanks for your response. I tried your suggestion but it still FCs as soon as the phone powers up.
I think it's because the omega rom is odexed and all the 2.3.6 based roms that I have are deodexed.
When I look at the /system/app directory all system apps have an .apk and a corresponding .odex file of each application.
If you have a 2.3.6 odex version of Email.apk I would really appreciate it if you could upload it.
Thanks for your help!!

MultiWindow Control

Greetings,
This is my first thread and post here at this community.
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII with the beta firmware I9300XXELK4_I9300OJKELK5_ILO. I've read at this forum about an APK that can be used to add more programs to the native MutiWindow View that this FW has. At the same topic it is written that you have to use some odexe or deodexe.
Actually i dont know what is odexe or deodexe and i dont know how to install it on my device.
Can someone please help me and guide about how to install it properly.
Thank you very much!

If you did flash the original leak it will be most likely odexed (as mine is), deodext are usually all the custom roms (stock and others) as it is easier for modifications. You can also Google and will find a lot of explanations.

Help Building a CUSTOM(from STOCK ROM)
Newbie here---
- I have downloaded the HTC stock RUU for my device.
- I used Android Kitchen cygwin to extract the files, setup the working folder.
- Added root permissions,BusyBox
- Built the rom from working folder.
Wanted to test whether this works or not... But Phone Got stuck on HTC logo .. Not even BOOTANIMATION.
What did i miss or DO wrong here??
Where in these steps worked flawlessly when i took a custom rom? What else should be done here?? Help would be Appreciated!!!

My Answer is for kagouro - Becouse i Don't see your post when I write.
If Your Phone is dedected in adb you can use logcat (adb logcat in windows cmd) if phone don't dedected in adb - flash recovery via fastboot, join in recovery , instal working rom and found bad files in rom (try add modyfication singly - first root, second busybox etc - in this metod you can see whad mod don't work - probably stupid method but work :cyclops

Kitchen will replace certain necessary parts of your ROM if it isn't compatible with the kitchen, it puts them back when you compile. When you compiled your ROM did you take the guided option? Also, and probably the first thing I should have asked, is your phone compatible with kitchen?

[Q] Aroma Installer

Hi guys,
I'm trying to set up Aroma Installer for my own Custom ROM. When I try to flash the ROM, it shows all but when i had nearly finished it let me choose Installation Demo and other options. This will flash the ROM or it will show me what will happen without flashing it?
If it is only a demostration, what I have to do to flash the ROM definetly?
Thank you!!!

By the looks of it, it's just a demo
To flash a ROM, go to its thread, download it(it won't be 5 mb, it would be probably bigger than 100 mb or around it) and follow the instructions on how to flash it.

Then you need to modify Aroma-Config (Uses C as language) and updater-script to make the package behave as you want.
If you don't want options in Aroma, just a simple installer of ROM
Then, follow this guide

No problem, just busy right now so sorry if it takes a bit to answer.
Right now all you did was swap updater scripts, you need to edit your aroma-config to have it select what you want.
If you need some help with it I'll be home in maybe 5hours and can lend a hand then, in the meantime take a look at some of my (or others) aroma packaged and see how they matched aromaconfigs to updater scripts

Thank you!!! It works!!!
Can you tell me how you did it?
Now, how I can put different options? For example, if someone installs my ROM I would like them to choose what kernel or app they want to install or not. How can I do that and where I must place the .apk files (for the apps) or the .zip files (for the kernels)?
Thank you again!!!
I'm seeing that the installer does not install the ROM, how I can do that?

all i did was fix aroma, you need to put the files in the proper place, as in open root folder, there should be two inside (more if needed for other purposes) meta-inf and system, put all rom info organized properly in system and then flash
you can always save aroma logs if you have questions
and yes i can help you add kernel choices and such but i need to know what all options you need or want

I have added the system and meta-inf folders and packed all of this as a .zip before. Do i have to modify any other aroma files?
Sorry for being so noob...

No need to apologize, we all learn new thongs every day!
You shouldn't have to edit any script, just take your system folder and meta-inf (and anything else needed) zip them up and sign, when you flash in aroma be sure to save logs so you can check it later for errors

I have signed it with ROM kitchen and packed all as zip. When i try to start Aroma with the recovery, it says:
Code:
E:Can't copy META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary
