Thats stock? If so, thats better than the note 2 stock. What kind of chip specs is this for the at&t version?

Anyone have comparisons to phones with the S4 Pro and 2GB ram like the LG Optimus G or HTC DROID DNA? The HOX+ will obviously be slower but I'd like to know by how much.

You'd probably have to go into those forums and ask and then you can post here

Playing with the OG in the store and the X+, their quadrant scores where with in a few hundred points of each other.
I think it scored like a 7700+ score
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium

Around the 7800 points with my One X+
With about 100 apps / widgets and games installed

Mine hit around 7300.

Well i just played with one of these at att store. Im on the one x now, but i want the plus version. I like the 64gb of storage, and the jb seems really smooth! I will more than likely b getting one soon. What r ur guys thoughts on it?

Also went to the ATT today to compare side by side OneX and OneX+, gotta admit that I haven't noticed that much difference in screen quality/color reproduction others talked about! That matte rubbery feel to the device is nice and 64gb Only thing I wonder is if that stock firmware is rootable as is? Been mentioned, hopefully international and ATT versions are very same, like Inspire and DHD

not too bad with 30 or so apps downloaded already plus the bloat

I like it and it feels like a nice jump from the one x. Love the black soft touch and I find it to be smoother than the note 2 international version I owned a couple weeks. Screen seems just as good as the original.

It's rootable but there's no point with no custom recovery working for us on AT&T network yet.

If it's rootable, we could remove the bloat. To me, that's a huge deal. However, I didn't think we could gain root yet...

I'm still putting it thorough the paces, but so far so good. I sent Xs a crap load of pictures he was going to put on the TN site, but I don't know if he's had time. Some very nice tweaks to Sense though. I really like those upgrades. For instance, the profile pictures synced from FB are now high res. Shoot me a PM with your email. In the morning I'll send you the stuff I sent to Xs. 64gb is awesome too!

Not digging the white. And meh, the Sensation can easily be overclocked to 1.5 GHz.
According to this I'm using an HTC Amaze right now just a little less RAM!
Since the true clock speed of our cores is 1512 anyway I wonder about the over clockability of this device, if they're using the same processor as the Sensation.

It's the same one, just not underclocked like ours.
That phone looks quite big to me ??
Yeah, so not worth it considering I'm easily around 200 megs of free ram usually. Or 250-280 or 290 -300 at certain times.
Give me a processor I can OC a bit higher, though I don't need it, and that would make me consider an "upgrade"

The network will not get close to those speeds though. If this has ATT bands in addition to TMOUS it might be worth a look.
It has an ugly shape. Reminds me of a bigger SGS. Only thing that would make me look twice at it would be if it's AOSP Gingerbread. Other than that, it really ain't nothing special.

HTC DLX Spec and Speculation Thread

Hey all,
As some of you may have heard, there are lots of leaks about an exciting new 5" HTC "phablet" coming to Verizon. This phone will have some wicked specs if the sources I have seen are correct. This thread will concern anything really to do with the DLX including specs, pros and cons, discussion about any of the aspects of the phone/ release date, news, and speculation of any of the previously mentioned topics (also including pricing). I will try my best to maintain this thread and update it daily as new information and leaks role out.

I was originally concerned too however I've never been able to use up 10GB on a device, that's with 100 albums of music, of 600 photos, 40 apps, and 2 or three roms, I'm not too concerned
Edit: My mentor Charlie also mentioned that you can use an OTG USB cable if your real concerned also these specs are not set in stone yet so anything can happen

Note 2 benchmarks

Im thinking about taking my dna back for the note 2. Went by the verizon store and was running some bench marks to get a feel for it. It was scoring 14000 in anutu, and the 3d test was running 35fps tops, could it just be that phone? My old s3 scores 11400.... It just seemed extremely weird that the mali 400 was scoring that damn low. Now i didnt look much into what the software version was but can anyone comment on 3d performance? Wildblood etc?

Dude, don't worry about synthetic benchmarks. The Note 2 simply feels faster than the DNA.
I had the DNA for a week and exchanged it for a Note 2 and haven't looked back since. I just couldn't stand the heavy scrolling and slow animations when scrolling home screens on the DNA.
Do it, you won't be disappointed.

I have both phones right now and the DNA is most likely getting sold! I did buy the Note 2 first though but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the DNA and while it is a very nice phone it is just not as smooth as the Note 2 is... I have the DNA on a stock kernel because the only kernel that is available that overclocks the DNA is waaay unstable but they did just drop a VERY nice rom for it over there (ViperDNA) which is one of the most customizable roms I have ever used on a phone. The DNA really has nothing on the Note 2! Yes, the screen is beautiful!! But I think that is why it lags like it does...? (pushing all those pixels) As far as Touchwiz over Sense... I like them both but Samsung has just got them beat right now (everyone for that matter)! If Samsung made phones that were not ALL plastic that would be my wet dream. If you don't want a Note 2 cause it's too large then get a DNA but if you can handle the BEAST then you have one of the best phones, if not the best, that you can get!
And having owned both phones the whole benchmark thing means NOTHING! It's real world use and that's where the Note 2 will win every time!
As far as the difference between any version of sense or touchwiz, I'll take tw any day. Love me some tw. I just wish theyd make a tw rom thats compatible with theme chooser.

the quote was that older phones would get sense 3.6 in an ICS update and the newer phones would come with sense 4.0 because sense 4.0 is specifically tuned to those phones' SoC's, which is BS considering the One V is much worse than the Rezound and the DROID Incredible 4G LTE has almost the same specs as the Rezound aside from the 720p screen, and as we can see from the custom roms, it runs sense 4.0 just fine (albeit with some battery problems with stock kernels, but that's also the rezound's fault).
One could also argue that with a 720p screen the rezound's scorpion CPU isn't as good as the HTC One X's CPU, so running Sense 4.0 "should be" impossible, but we all know that's just marketing BS and that the tegra 3 is a pretty bad SoC that sense 4 wasn't optimized for anyway.

LOL.
If the recent OTA update to the aged Incredible is any indication the Rezound *may* get an official JB update, but I doubt it will ever get an official Sense version update.
I also agree with the poster who suggested that the devs will get it done before anyone who gets a paycheck from HTC does.
My name's Harold and I'm a flashaholic....
I doubt the the hox will even get sense 5. I mean htc does want people to buy their new devices too and not just buy one and have it updated over and over.

From what I see rezound should be able to run sense 5 since they told us jb was never going to come. But xda dev made one happens. Most of HTC dev are lazy I seen more xda dev make Rom that would never be made by HTC becuz of spec ....smh. I believe we can have sense 5

Me. I do. Even if it does look like an older sense (because it was the same case with sense 4, 4.1, 4+).
Its always nice to have the latest...

Is anyone working on porting sense 5 or is that an impossible task given this phone's chipset?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Officially about as much chance as the bolt seeing sense 4. Now a port of it I can see it. As far as sense 5 its nice to try it as I know I like the sense weather widget better than the old sense versions. So I am sure there is something on 5 that people might like

as far as I know there will be Sense 5 but with all the features of the One X (like the whole camera stuff etc.)
But will it be based on 4.1.2 or 4.2.2?
You can probably assume 4.1.2 since the One is launching with that. Unless this update comes after the One has already been update to 4.2.2, in which case there is a chance.

It will be hardware specific things like camera features etc that are on the One but wouldn't be one the X+

It's not a cut down version, simply each phone uses a different version of the same base with hardware specific tweaks.

Given how slow HTC is with the updates and then each carrier, I will have probably moved on from the HOX+ by the time it's official. Our best bet is for one of the fine devs to port Sense 5 to the HOX+ based on pulls from the One.

Just came back home from HTC ONE presentation here in Nottingham... It is nice piece of hardware but... Did not have the WOW effect for me as Desire had... sorry... It looks like HTC made sense 5 more stock android looking not just flat icons and graphic
Camera is slightly better than HOX+ and it is not sticking out which will save the lens, speed of the system similiar but blink feed is perfect, full hd screen and sound also. But not much difference, missing remapping of keys... 3 dot menu everywhere, it needs to be tweaked a lot... Scrolling is similiar to HOX+... I'm not so impressed as I expected
We will get full sense 5 but bear in mind hardware limitation... that was the answer from htc staff
Don't beat me ... I would love to see it on our HOX+'s but not buying phone with such small difference
Isn't it illegal in the US to root or tweak our phones after January 28, 2013 or something like that? I'd love to see that too though.

The rest of the protection from the DMCA covering software modifications has either just expired or is about too. I'm not sure about rooting, but things like jailbreaking iphones will defo be illegal. It won't impact us europeans much. And the protection will almost certainly be reinstated when it is revised later this year.

If it has to go through AT&T for us LTE users then we will never see an official update. If you have international then you should definitely get it in a few months or whenever HTC decides to release it.

I believe it is illegal to carrier unlock the phone in USA. But the other reason I think it's not illegal with htc is because they allow you to do it versus hacking the manufactures software who did not allow you too.
