Tweak your phone
Root your phone
Go to the bathroom
Buy some cookies
Dance like an idiot with some music blasting
The list can go on for the possibilities of what you want to do...to let us better help you do what you want to do...let us know what you want to do

I'll take a look at it. But I also gained some help on a Netherlands forum. They said I needed to learn Java first and then I would be able to do that. So is it necassary to learn Java first if I want to fully customize it?

You can create fully custom Roms without any knowledge. Look at most Roms in any given device development thread.

Ok bro, maybe they didn't mean to hurt your feelings... But c'mon, don't you think that doing some research in google will provide you with a faster answer than waiting for some replies within the forum???
I've looked on Google, forums are here to discuss things and help eachother, so i don't understand why people take a hissy fit when people ask for a little bit of help and advice, thank you for the apology medic.

going on your way of thought everyone will be posting questions for links to things 3 clicks away. Really, try google.
Easy keywords will be "cyanogenmod <insert phone model> rom xda-developers". No doubt it will be the top hit.
Ok thanx for you're help

Ok cool bro, np.
Currently there are NO official CM ROMs for our Galaxy ACE. Anyways there are a couple unofficial that you can give a try Here and Here... One of them is not being supported anymore since its creator sold his phone.
Good luck bro... and NO ACE is not the codename for our phone in cyanogenmod.com ... It is COOPER

[ROM][I9100][17/07/2012] 7 comp ROM: one rom to fit all your wishes

Hi,
in next days you will see here a new rom for GS2.
It is based on AOSP, AOKP, CM9 and and other sources + some personnal developpement.
The result is a really usefull and efficient rom that you can use either if you are a developper of an all day base user.
You will find a lot a feature. The rom is fully configurable.
Interested ??
Keep informed
But where is the rom?

I'm really interested in learning cooking kernels and ROMs. It would be great having a sequential learning process like this, as right now we hunt online for everything, and thus we may have gaps in our knowledge that we don't know about.
A community is also a brilliant idea as then we can learn along side others, and also, we can trim down repeat questions.
Overall +1 . Great idea
Yeah i tried kichen and kernel in ubuntu ... the problem is they just don't work!!
If you know a new method it would be great to hear!

On topic: yes we would like it very much or at least get to test it.

Do i need it NO.
Would i try it yes but only if it brings something new to the standard custom roms we have .
Sam old same old mods then No .

5- dont jump down users throats, if they dont follow the rules just kindly ask them to provide more info
6- if someone has already answered a question there is no reason for you to comment unless said answer was wrong.
7- lastly, dont expect me to answer all questions, this is a user section so some user help is appreciated be kind

This isn't for any of Jamie's particular roms OR even our specific device, but I'd like to know how to read change logs on github (I think this is something I should know and I think I'm googling the wrong how-to question).
Just go into whatever device, then switch over to the commits tab? So for this device link below, there was only one merge done for May 14?
https://github.com/SuperNexus/android_device_samsung_n7000/commits/jellybean
Any help on how to read is greatly appreciated!
