[Q] sense - HTC Droid DNA

Any chance devs will give us a pure vanilla experience, with removing sense?

I would say yes, it is probably pretty likely we will get some form of basic AOSP but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.

Prepare your anus for ViperDNA or VenomDNA. My body is ready.

No.

Post questions in the Q & A section instead of starting a useless thread please, it would be appreciated by the mods and community.

Not yet, I think most people are waiting for another HVGA phone to get Froyo (ie HTC Legend) in the hopes that one of the devs would port it. I guess for now it's just a waiting game, but also remember that the Eris section has Questions and Answers subforum so please feel free to use it

Why is that people can be so corny on xda
Some people especially if they are new have a tendancy to over look where it says questions and answers and go straight in to eris android development which a froyo sense based rom could fall under android development??? He asked a simple question instead of coming off like a **** with a **** bag response "useless thread" why don't you try being a little polite and helpful being a senior member and guide the dude in the right direction nicely.... Yo dude not everybody is perfect and some people on 1st glance can over look something, lighten up a little bit!!!!! xda has a bad rep for people being so douschie, that was the perfect example!!!
I agree, I thought he was being a **** myself

Developing a Sense-based Froyo ROM would go in the development forum. Asking if one exists ? Nope...
I apologize if I came off as a '****', I too am guilty of 'useless posts', though when I joined I don't recall there being a Q & A section at least
In the XDA app considering that's all I use. Either way, I'm sorry but there isn't really a need to be throwing names around and what not.
As far as helping, you didn't. You instead took your time to point out all of what I did and or didn't. At least I told him where to go regardless of how I did so.

On that XDA app, in settings what is SFR Support?
The question is valid but since it is not development related and is a question it should belong in Q & A (which is why I moved it).

Other Variants Roms on VZW Note?

Now that we are fully unlocked has anyone tried flashing an att or international rom? Do you get service?

Does it matter if it has a kernal? Aren't they interchangeable? they were on the s3.
I would strongly advise against it for now. Let the dust settle a bit before doing something like that. In a week tops you'll have some good information out there on what your options are when it comes to ROMs.

i agree with DaRkL3AD3R modules need to be switched to make sure we have no issues, at the most i say wait till monday and we might even have parinoid android
You need a lot more than just modules and libs changed most likely. I know it is a world phone, but odds are, you are going to need framework changes as well to get them to work. If you don't know how to test, then don't flash it. Wait until someone that knows how to at least debug things tries it before testing yourself and turning your phone into a paperweight.

I've been following it over on rootzwiki: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/41529-rom422-samsung-jfltevzw-unofficial-nightlies/
BMC is working in it. I'm testing it for him. Also since he doesn't have a device if his own we have a donate thread for him.

Ubuntu Touch?

Real simple: do we have a port Ubuntu Touch? I thought I saw one for the International variant, but I've get to see anything for the i605.

I think I've seen an alpha build somewhere.
Honestly there are a bunch of devices with Ubuntu touch projects and they all are rather early on in development so while I think it would be fun to play with, the reality is it probably won't be a daily driver for a long long time.

At this stage in development there really isn't much reason to bother. Once it becomes more fleshed out there absolutely will be ports made, it is a relatively simple process thanks to the way canonical set everything up.

DMC Vs. DMF

I've been running Scotts DMC ROM for a while now. I see that there are some ROMs out that are based off DMF.
The little research I did said that this is a Portuguese ROM ( I guess).
Are there any known benefits/issues with the DMF base?
Thanks,
Matt
Something I've found out about DMF2, and why im staying away from it.

Does this affect custom roms built on dmf2? Dunno, but why risk it.

I would bet good money that anything to do with modifying the EFS partition is ripped out of the ROMs for our phone, it wouldn't make sense to leave that in there.
