[query] why sense skins on market are not working on desire x - HTC Desire X

i m wondering thst why sense skins dont show up in skins when i install them from market in my desire x.this never happen with my one s and one x.
Any body have any idea?
Even i tried to install via apk and result is same....no skin in personalize.....

I'm not sure why... Try rebooting the phone... Maybe 'cause the phone doesn't have full Sense...

There aren't any sense themes for the desire x on market yet. The developers only make them for the full sense rom's. The reason is probably that there are just two devices running sense lite. Maybe you can look around on the forum or ask people to port the themes to the DX

You have to realize that those 'two things' are almost 100 percent of what the htc framework is made up of. The launcher being the biggest part. Everything sense related has something to do with the launcher and the framework.
You -might- be able to do it, but it would be easier to just use the whole rom.

Can anyone port this theme over?

This is a beautiful theme.

Can anyone port it over to be able to use on the stock rom?
I am no Dev. But that is slick as ****. I would be down for this!

not sure if it will work on Stock/Espresso ROM but if you are running a Stock Sense ROM (ThunderBolt, Desire HD, Desire Z ect) you can download the Skins from the following thread... Glass Sense is the closest you can get to this theme, there are a few things that don't change.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=801928
and a few more
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=998896
EDIT: the first link has the Glass Sense Skin
From what I understand....the "espresso" sense is different enough from the regular sense that if we tried to flash those...it would screw up our phones right?
I really want to keep the regular rom...and I love the theme link i posted.
I really hope someone can make something happen for us "stockers"

You don't flash those skins, they are .apk files... You install them as an app. Worse case scenario, you install and stock theme chooser doesn't show it.
Hmmm..now that sounds interesting
Thanks man

Just tried an apk...no workie

that sux, I was hoping it would work but wasn't sure... side note I forgot to mention in my first post, if you decide to switch to a Sense ROM to use those skins it has to be a Sense 2.0 ROM such as the ones I listed, Royalmint or any of the other Sense 2.1 ROMs that have popped up lately won't work.

Sense 4 widgets

THESE ARE SOME ADDITIONAL WIDGETS WHICH I GOT FROM DESIRE X FORUM BY ckpv5.I have installed them as normal apk and they properly.

Remove Completely HTC Sense UI

Hi,
This is a question to @The Android Manual, @MaartenXDA, @Stereo8, and other experts.
I want to delete Sense UI from my stock ROM. What files can I delete from system/app folder?
And if I delete Rosie.apk and I add Trebuchet.apk, did it start automatically as default launcher?
In your Half-Sense or Non.Sense.Revolution, what did you do?
Thanks in advance,
fulmix

It should work...Just click on home button and set it as default...However I do not think you should delete Rosie.apk if you want to use other launcher. You can simply set that launcher as your default launcher. I personally like Rosie.apk

Yes but I want to remove all files are with htc sense and give an semi-full Aosp-like rom.

Thanks for calling me an expert... :embarrassed:
So you could delete all Sense Apps and replace them with AOSP ones... (Mail.apk fusion.apk... HTC_IME.apk)
I'll make you a zip to flash to delete the sense apps and replace them with AOSP ones...
Or just flash Non.Sense.Revolution.B2 or Half-Sense 0.7...

If you want to remove Rosie.apk U can either use aroma file manager or....
1.Boot into Fastboot
2.Connect Phone To Pc
3.Start adb terminal
4.type 'adb shell' (without quotes)
5.rm system/app/rosie.apk
The rm command means remove it can remove any system app
Yes, I know
P.S: Fulmix ROM is coming soon!

Awesooome.... BTW is it AOSP look or AOSP, like, really?
I'm simply don't know why people are buying HTC phones and then make a huge effort to remove Sense from it. Sense is one of the main reasons why I buy only HTC phones. If you want to buy phone with vanilla Android go and buy some Nexus model or some ZTE crap that has a stock android installed.
SENSE RULES!!!

Nexus 4 is expensive... And you know well that you can't get it from Play Store for the $300 price in Serbia...

Desire, Incredible S and now Desire X, with plans for One S (Ville not C version).
R: Remove Completely HTC Sense UI
Well.. Sincerly I bought Desire X only for Sense and I used it for a month but now for me Sense is only a way to make your phone slower and there are a lot of unused apps.
For this now I like more stock version. Is faster and simple and the ROM I will make will have only 250mb and not 400mb as Sense-based roms.

That's what I mean.
I don't want to be negative, but all those features are in the other ROMs. Except fonts, but I had that planned for my next update.
It just seems pointless to post your ROM.

All the stock skins. But if you're on a stock ROM, the skins for the One X or One s won't work, those are for full sense.
I'm almost finished with a Sense 5 skin for stock ROMs, uploading soon.

I when I said "All the themes work..", I wanted to mean "All the themes ported for the lite version work...". I thought it was clear but most probably I am wrong. Oh, and do realy the full sense skins of One X or One S work for the DX too? (using full sense custom rom)
