[Q] Can I root my Galaxy SII, I9100BVLPE 4.0.4 T-Mobile UK? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, It's my first time on here and I would be very grateful for some simple help please.
I have a Galaxy SII on T-Mobile UK, I9100 BVLPE 4.0.4, and I would like to remove the T-Mobile logo seen when switching the phone on and off, and would also like to remove the bloatware, so I, the owner of the phone, can choose what apps i want on it.
Do I need to root, can my specific phone be rooted? Please direct me to some very simple instructions which explain step by step how to do this.
Many thanks in advance for your replies and kind help, which is much appreciated!
Greg

Method 2c is what you are looking for. By the way, this is a sticky in the general forum.
1. Rooting is not firmware dependent, the method to root is almost the same across firmware
2. Installing games does not require rooting.
Thank and do you think this video here is besically the same things that ill be doing?

[Q] Root... what do I have to consider?

Well... with the risk of getting flamed... I really would like to get some advice Before I get started.
My Galaxy S3 is network locked to Three 3 Sweden. My first question... is this something I have to consider when rooting? I´m not concerned about warrantys and so on... my soul purpose is to get rid of some bloatware, ads and perhaps modifying a little. Not really flashing ROM´s as of yet, but who knows...
I would really like it if someone could point me in the right direction when it comes to files and so on, that I need.
My phone:
Android Version 4.1.2
Baseband I9300NELK2
Version 3.0.31-742798
Compilationnumber JZ054K.I9300XXELLA
Some hints and tips would be nice.
First time on a S3 but far from first phone to root.
=> General Section, stickies, how to root etc. all included in there

Yes I know... but my head question was legit:

That has nothing to do with network. Rooting and sim unlock are two different things.

Samsung noob looking for root advice

Hi there,
as I'm totally noob on Samsung and I don't know really nothing about their devices - my brother in law gave me his business S3 (GT-I9300) for his vacation with the order to get him the current rom flashed.
Now, as I'm a HTC fanboy this is really pain as I'm currently trying to figure out what is needed to flash a custom rom.
I know an HTC needs to be unlocked/ s-offed/ rooted - but what about a Samsung?
Heard somewhen some words like Kies and Odin and am trying now a noob proof tool named SkipSoft Toolkit
I really lost overview here because all specific Samsung relevant words and explanations are like Alien language to me....
If someone could just point me to the steps I'd follow like
1. Unlock with ____link____
2. Root with
3. Recovery
4. other steps
I'd really appreciate your help!!
an HTC fanboy

NEWBIE - NOT TECH SAVVY any suggestions on removing Metro Bloatware from LG Aristo 2?

Hi all,
Thank you for taking time to read my post. I am new to this world of cellphonespeak. Maybe this is a simple question with an easy answer. I just obtained an LG Aristo 2. I am trying to know how to remove all of the bloatware that MetroPCS has installed with the phone> Im not with Metro, I use an independent network, but I don't need the unnecessary apps on the phone. I have read through various suggestions but they have not worked up to now. Its running on an Android 7.1.2, if that is helpful. Also if I am posting in the wrong forum, please forgive my ignorance.
I appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Deepest Gratitude,

Root your phone with Magisk, then install Titanium Backup.
You can uninstall bloatware using Titanium Backup.

I have a perfect suggestion. If you've found out already how to Root your phone and you've installed TWRP then download and install these two links below.
