By any chance does google maps (or any other maps app) find your position via wifi on this tablet? I'm getting a "Location cannot be determined" error & I know for sure that it's the tablet as my mother's super cheapo wifi only tablet works I obviously switched on the Location services in the Android settings... Could you please test this on your Momo7 IPS?

Help from UK users

Trying to install beebplyer but can't find it on the market, previously installed & uninstalled it, so not sure why I can't find it anymore. Can anyone please check if it's just me or whether it's now off the market? Thanks.
I read somewhere that its been pulled for the time being.
Something about a 'proper' version coming out soon.
You best bet would be to try to find the APK from somewhere else online...
damn, was looking forward to having it for the world cup.
why would they pull it before a proper one is here? just sounds like aunt beeb wasn't best pleased with it

You can still download it using the barcode scanner. I just installed it, and the quality from the video is quite poor.
I'm not surprised it got discontinued. Worth using as a last RESORT
thanks, installing now! it is a last resort...
not sure if this is any good mate as I aint tried it yet:
http://www.skynetsoftware.com/myPlayer/index.aspx?platform=Android
PS - England are currently sucking bigtime in teh world cup
thanks, hopefully I'll still need it after the group stage!
try yamgo.mobi, its way more reliable than apps.
Yes beebplayer has been pulled from the market, although there is another app called myplayer, as zoomee has already stated.
That said, I don't think those apps are as good as just going to m.tvcatchup.com
You can watch a lot of freeview channels. It requires registration, but that's free, and just a 1 time thing. Try that out.

[CLOSED] XBMC?

I really hope the developers over at XBMC can get the Android version finished up and released soon. I really hate that iOS users got it so early.
This is going to be a perfect device for it.
A match with XMBC would be a great deal.
Do we know what CPU this device is running yet?

Honestly, i can´t imagine the NQ is more suitable for xbmc than the atv.
Of course hardware wise, they are comparable, but why would you want to pay 300$ for something you could do with an 99$ atv?
I assume apple is selling the atv´s with a loss because they are so closely tied with itunes and obviously hard to jailbreak.
Either way for 300$ you could simply buy a board a nice processor and set up xbmc one ubuntu.. (it´s the best mediacenter imaginable)

I have a few of these running on Zotac Boxes. They are great for my media but less so for streaming stuff of the internet. Ubuntu can't run Netflix.
There's already a thread for discussing possible uses for the Q, please continue all further discussion there.

[SOLVED] Play Store New Feature?

Hi guys...I'm from the GT-I9100G forum......I'm running the latest cm9 on my phone...
Ok, back to my topic...When updating apps, it only downloads for a few percent as shown in Play Store...

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But in my notifications drawer, it fills up very fast and the update is completed in a short while...faster then expected...but my apps still get updated magically!
It has been like this for many times...tried searching butI don't know what to search for...lol...so anyone else aware about this? My hypothesis is that Play Store only downloads the necessary files to 'patch' the existing apks...Is this possible?
Yes, you are right, actually. The Play Store now only downloads new content for each app, instead of downloading the entire app over again. Makes sense, especially for larger apps, like Death Rally, which is a 50MB initial download. VERY useful update for people who spend a lot of time on their mobile networks (not everybody has 4G or 4G LTE service available, or phones with those capabilities).
I noticed this behavior on my phone, and coincidentally read it online the next day on a random news post.
Wow...great feature......still remember the title of the news?kinda interested...

[Q] Issue with SGS3 I9300 - which ROM?

Hello everyone,
my cousing bought a chinese I9300 but he wanted to change ROM because the current one doesn't work well and he has lots of problems with the signal, sms, wifi... We're from Italy if that matters.
Below you can see the screenshots captured from an Antutu report so you can see what's inside this baby :good:
I'd like to know if there's any ROM I can install to replace the running one and see if it can work better.
Thank you all in advance

The phone is not a SGS3 I9300 its some fake clone chinese job .
As posted nothing for that phone on this forum we cannot advise .
I hate to say this to you..
But that does not looks like a real S3 I9300.
From the screen shots I can see that the screen resolution is not correct and neither is the standard DPI.
So I don't think you can install any of the ROMS that are available in this section of the forum.
I think your cousin bought a knock-off that looks almost the same.
Unless you can figure out what phone it really is you are out of luck I'm afraid...
Yeah I thought that too as I saw the report.
So you think that maybe a ROM not for S3 but for some other phone might work.. What should I look for? Screen res, processor....
It looks like hunting a needle in the sea
Suggest you search and read the hundreds of identical post and see if you can find a forum/ firmware .
You require rom for your phone not some other phone .
