[Xperia Mini Pro]My battery is dead? - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Ok I guys, this is the full story.
-I was on ICS with the latest update,so i use Flashtool to coming back on Gingerbread
-I used Unlock to Root to Root my phone
-I use this method to put local prop file-->Update on ICS-->Complete Root (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688980)
-Ok,now now starting problems.
-I tried the traditional method to put CWM Recovery(it was Command file to execute, but nothing happens)
-So in one thread I discovered X-parts App(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pvy.CWMinstaler&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5wdnkuQ1dNaW5zdGFsZXIiXQ..) and put CWM Recovery on my phone.
-Ok so I flashed Serenity 2.0 Rom and all Works fine, but I discovered that when I flash a Rom,CWM Recovery is gone!
-I reinstalled it and try to flash again Serenity 2.0 to change some things with Aroma Installer, like the Launcher, ect.
-But the phone goes on bootloop.
-So I flash Gingerbread,Root,ICS,Root,Recovery and put the Rom another one time, but it goes in bootloop.
So I flash Gingerbread and I see that battery was at 15% while previously was on 100% and I discovered that when i put the charger the phone is going to be very hot and I see that the phone was on 11%!!!(In settings I see that the phone says that is in charge)
So I remove the battery and put on a external charger to charge it at 100%,so I tried to update on ICS but the phone shutdown.
Now I can't use the phone, because is going to be hot and when I put the charger it discharges.
Any solution?Buy another battery?Send the Phone on Sony assistance/Sony support?
But they will repair a phone with this scratch?

I would send it to service if it's under warranty :good:
If you buy a new battery, this could solve the problem, but sony maybe would give you a new one for free
It could be hardware related, too, because if it goes hot that's not good!
I would send it to sony and they can tell you what's wrong...

I think that Sony support doesn't chage battery.

As long the warranty still available, SONY will replace the battery because its a hardware related problem

Last attempt get first X10 working

Hi Guys,
I making a last attempt to get an old X10 working before I strip it for parts. If anybody has any new ideas, I'll give them a try otherwise I'm going to dismantle it to use the case and screen to pretty up my working X10 (dents and scratches).
History:
About a year ago, it started acting up and overheating on occasion and even at times it wouldn't charge.
After a couple weeks of this, one day it started freezing up on me. After I powered down it wouldn't restart. Dealing with tech support I tried using PC Companion and SEUS to try and repair the phone but flashing would always abort.
I've tried various versions of Flashtool and SEUS as they have been released and still haven't been able to get the phone to boot. PC Companion and SEUS always error out when trying to flash and Flashtool even though it completes will give a yellow triangle with exclamation point in it.
The one exceptions is when I flashed the newest X10a firmware with flashtool but unchecked the wipe userdata box. When I do this the phone will actually boot past the Sony Ericsson screen and perform the boot animation but... This is where it get's stuck and just loops the boot animation over every couple of minutes.
The only other piece of information that I can provide is that even though Flashtool will report a successful flash the complete firmware package including userdata, I believe that userdata is failing because of a timeout. Flashtool will sit on flashing userdata for about 5 minutes before completing.
after you flash the new x10 firmware you need to flash the new kernel and radio too!
that should stop the boot loop and maybe get it running again
you can find the radio and kernel ftf in the dev forum

When you flash the full ftf package with flashtool, the baseband (radio) and kernel are included. But..... Just in case I did try to flash the .71 package but it didn't make any difference.
brutal
did you try a seus when you got to the bootloop?
sounds like a probable motherboard issue

Yep, SEUS just fails to complete flashing the phone, I've just about given up on it. Last thing I'm going to try tonight is reseating all the modules inside it. Who knows, Maybe I'll do a tear down post while I'm at it. At the very least I'll have a collection of spare parts for my working X10
x10 runs extremely hot.
a lot of people here had motherboard issues

I'll try to reassemble it and if it goes OK, I'll go ahead and replace the display/touch panel on my working X10 with this one.

Nice pic, lol.
Ok, transplant worked. I now have the guts from my working x10 inside the undented and non scratched case of the one with the bad main board.
It's almost like having a new phone again.

Probably hard bricked SOLA

Hi
I was using my phone. It suddenly turned off. Now it won't turn on.
When I connect it to a charger there is red light for one second then phone looks dead (no LED, nothing). (normally there was constant red light).
Tried to reset it using buttons, tried connecting it with fastboot mode, flash mode - NOTHING.
What can I do?
Main problem is that this phone is under warranty but it has unlocked bootloader and there was CM9 loaded on it..
take to service centre ,.. if u cant turn it on they cant too
Force off the phone
Volume down plus power button until u feel 3 vibrations
Then dun try to switch on
And try flashing ftf

The bootloader is broken. Send it to the repairing point or use JTAG to flash it.

Take the battery out for about 20 seconds and put it back on again, dont turn it on, press the volume down button and get a usb cable and plug one end to the pc and and the other to ur phone keeping the volume down button pressed. If there is a green light that means it can be fixed.
will send it for warranty.
I didn't agree for extra charge so it wont be a problem,
got my device replaced under warranty
Device was full bricked with unlocked bootloader via sony site (twice!) and loaded cyanogenmod with custom kernel

First of all, What exactly do you mean by "changing your IMEI no" , Is that even possible???
Have you tried connecting it in fastboot mode by the use of hardware button i.e. by keeping the vol up key pressed down while connecting to the pc.
Flash a new kernel and a rom if anything else dowsnt work.

It might be your Phone now, but cant see any reason why you would need to change the imei.

Unless you've bought the software and hardware you need to contact someone who has it, few links in my Xperia Guide, and two People I know who have it, so you could contact one of them.
if i take it to Sony service dose they repair it ?

If the boot loader was unlocked then they may charge for repairing the phone. If it is a hard brick then they may have to replace the mother board. Replacing the mother board changes the IMEI number.

Looks like you need a service centre, but would check the laws of tampering with imei numbers where you are before you do.

[Q] i9100p Bricked while recovering previous save of rom

Hi
I will try and list everything i can i suspect i will not be able to fix this but thought someone might have some insight as to how it happened.
Whats Wrong:
No signs of life, no boot screen, no recovery mode and no download mode. I have held down the reverent buttons for over a min and i get no response from the phone. Have checked its not just a flat battery, its been charging for 2 hours and same response whether plugged into charger or not.
What I was doing:
The Phone was the stock Rom that I had rooted (I use the orange signal boost app at home, and didn't want to lose it.) I decided to change the menu icons for my apps to a matching set and was using APK editor to do that. Knowing that messing with the signal boost app could mess it up I created a backup of the Rom using CWM before starting and then tried changing the icon and re-installing signal boost. It failed and the app would not run when I tried to re-install the original. So I booted into recovery mode and told CWM to recover from the backup i had created. I left the phone and when i came back it was blank and has been ever since.
Phone details
Orange Uk branded i9100p
running android 4.0.4 stock (rooted)
As I said I doubt this is an easy fix but if anyone can give me a hand i would be eternally grateful. Failing that is someone can shed some light on what went wrong so i can avoid it in the future that would be great to.
Thanks

The same thing happened to my d686, just send it to a LG service with your warnity, it's best not to tell them it was rooted. Just tell them this happened after updating thru LG Mobile Support Tool. They will change the phone's motherboard. Here, in Romania, this worked!
