LastPass on Ocean Browser - Nexus 10 Themes and Apps

I have just changed browsers from Dolphin to Ocean and would like to continue using LastPass which was available as a Dolphin plug-in.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use LastPass with the Ocean browser?
Thanks

For any other browser, I change the keyboard to LastPass and fill it in using the button on the bottom.
Not ideal, but it mostly works.

Thanks for your reply but I don't understand what you mean when you say "I change the keyboard to Lastpass".
Can you give more detail please.

The lastpass android app has a keyboard you can enable. If you leave the keyboard input selector on all the time, when you get to a web form, you can switch to the lastpass keyboard and fill in the username and password.
It isn't the most efficient method, but it works most of the time.

Thanks for making it clearer. I'll give it a try.

Let me know if you need any more clarification.

It would be nice if ocean browser would let me install the last pass bookmarklets, but when I try to add them manually it says I cant add that kind of URL. Has anyone found a way to add the bookmarklets?

Are you using Dolphin? Thats a known issue with dolphin.
Try using the XDA app instead of browser.
I have the same problem with the dolphin browser i get around it by quickly clicking the advanced search option, it is a little more tedious but at least i can search.
I am not really a fan of the xda app so this is the best working option for me right now.

Me to. Dolfin and now rooted still have the problem
Search button closes as soon as the keyboard pops up. Happens to me in Dolphin and regular browser.
Use opera. Its the type of webkit that the stock browser and dolphin uses. For some reason opera uses a different webkit. It seems to be a bit slower when loading web pages but its universally compatible with all websites.
1+ if you confirm this.

Why don't the chefs Cookdifferent browser into roms, is there anyway I can replace my Web browser with a new one for the bottom of my screen where the stock one is?

Easy just download the browser of your choice, go into the app drawer hit the menu button, switch the view to customizable grid and remove the stock browser and drag the browser of your choice. Then set it as your default.

fyi, sounds like you might not have known from your first post, but yes you can swap out ANY of the apps/shortcuts in your bottom bar EXCEPT the APP icon (brings up the app menu, then switches to home button)
marnel47 gave you brief instructions, i found a video on youtube of a guy changing it for the galaxy S, but same instructions apply for the galaxy S II, so after you get your new broswer installed, check out this video to change the icons out...

More specifically, replace the stock browser with Opera Mobile.
Thanks very much

I'm trying to decide between Opera and Dolphin. Is there a favorite around here, especially with a powerfully phone like ours?
Both are fast browsers. opera is not quite as fully functional as dolphin, but may be a bit faster.
I prefer dolphin as I like fully functional full media browser, but for minimalists who place a high priority on lightweight and speed opera is best. Both browsers are faster at rendering pages than the stock browser. But opera uses a little less ram than dolphin, although we have plenty of ram available on our phone.

I use dolphin. If you use Lastpass, Dolphin has a handy Lastpass plugin.

Browser redirect to market.

Anybody know a way to stop the default browser from redirecting to market whether I type it in or tap a link?
Tap http://www.speedtest.net to see what I mean. Running stock RAZR.
Thanks

Use a browser that will allow you to change your user-agent and change your user agent to desktop.
(Not sure if the stock one does that)
I grabbed Opera Mobile and set it for desktop and it worked as expected. But would rather see the mobile sites sometimes. I guess google knows better than me what I want.

It's not Google, it's speedtest that's shutting you out of their site. Reminds me of forums that give you the annoying Tapatalk nag every time you bring up a page.
Some browsers have the "Request desktop site" option. This will take you to the actual page (most ICS browsers have it).

I Just Want a Browser Which Does The Basics Well

For me, a Browser needs to support Flash, have a good speed dialer(which can be set as the home page), a good bookmarks manager, a good password manager and if it is fast as well then I'm happy.
Other than the Boat browser, I'm finding it quite difficult to find many browsers which meet these basic requirements.
The well known browsers like Chrome, Dolphin, Opera etc. have all abandoned Flash or don't have built-in password managers or lack good speed dialers which can be set as the home page.
The only other browser that I've found which almost meets my criteria is the Maxthon browser, but that does not have a password manager.
I use Keepass as a backup in case my Boat passwords get lost and that can be used to copy and paste login details to browsers. But for some reason it does not work with the Maxthon browser.
Are there any other browsers besides Boat which does the basics well?
I use the AOSP browser, and floating browser occassionally, but AOSP browser for all other things.
Have you tried Naked Browser or Lighting Browser

My 2 cents, Get the ocean browser , Amazingly smooth ,
Even maxthon does the job well , but ocean is amazing with its pie interface
Is there any chance on enabling the desktop version the time.

Thanks for your suggestions. But I really need a browser that includes a password manager because I have a lot of passwords and the Boat browser seems to be the only browser which includes a good free password manager.
Like you wrote -> Boat Browser!
Found it yesterday and its just awesome. Small (3MB), Java support, awesome smooth flash support, memory friendly, highly customizeable!
Pure awesome!
Is there a way to permanently select Desktop View on Chrome ?

Yes, get the app chrome UA changer. There you can set it once permanently to desktop and uninstall it
+1 Boat browser. You need to enable Flash support in settings after you install it.

Have you tried Ocean browser? Very smooth on the Nexus 10. Not sure if the password management is as robust as you need but give it a try. Mine works with flash player 11.1.115.27.

UC Browser Recommendation

Hello,
I just found a very unique and good Browser in my opinion which I wanted to share with you:
Its called UC browser Hd for tablets. The standard UC browser for Android is also good but the tablet version rocks on the Note 2.
I installed it on my Tablet and then transfered the apk file to my note 2, because playstore wont let you install the HD tablet version.
At first I thought: Too different takes too long to get used to. But after using for a short time I love it. And Flash is handled better than at Dolphin, Stock, Chrome, Firefox, in my opinion.
So, if your looking for a browser give it a try.
Greetings Richard

I agree browser is good but unfortunately I had to move to different one because in some cases I could not login to websites. Basically it didn't recognise my username and password which is odd. At the moment I use boat browser which is great as well. I also changed dpi to 260 for better visual experience. Btw. Dolphin browser drains the hell out of my battery.

'd you guys try tint browser?
Tint is horrible. One of the worst I ever used.
Uc is pretty nice but honestly I just can't give up tab sync with my other devices and tab switch via swipe. Chrome is just too good.

It's a shame that chrome doesn't support flash. It would be perfect otherwise.
