after the jellybean update i can't use usbhost on my device.... the otg cable is recognized by the device but anything i connect to the cable isn't!!!
is my cable damaged or did the update mess the usbhost compatibility?

anyone with an answer??? i tried my cable with another phone and it works... is it a jeally bean problem???? can we fix it?

Hi there,
I'm running Resurrection Remix v2.4 on my I9100 and I'm wondering how I can enable my USB host cable.
When I used to run the stock samsung rom, my device automatically recognized the USB host cable. Now that I went to RR, my device won't recognize it anymore. Is there something that I can try/do to let my device recognize the USB host cable again?

use stick mount app from the playstore
edit : And u shud be running siyah kernel
Try
USB Host Controller app. I read a while ago that you should be using siyah kernel too.
Hi all im new to this forum I got my acei a few days ago second hand off eBay but I have a problem when I connect it to my laptop it says usb device not recognized is the usb broken it charges ok and my jig works on it I have Samsung drivers installed and keis and odin but nothing is picking the phone up can anyone help.

Nope... Its better than seven. When your device connected enter device manager remove unknown device. Remove cable from usb. Remove all drivers including kies. Reboot pc. Reinstall universal drivers or kies not both. Reboot pc. When pc fully activated remove battery of phone plug cable to only phone. Put battery enter odin mode as soon as you enter odin mode plug usb to pc but different usb port recomended. Wait pc recognized drivers.
If this wont work change cable a new one if you can get. And try with the new cable.
Edit: As i see its a second hand phone it may have a problem with usb port of phone if nothing works. Jig uses two legs of usb so the charge. One leg in common with jig and charge so one leg left behind which may have a problem.

Ok ill try that when I get home. All my Xperias drivers install fine and i installed drivers for myy android tv box last night and rooted it.

so long story short I have bricked my nexus 7 tablet.... days before it would say it was charging with no charger attached, or say no charger attached while charging.... I rooted it and used a usb rom from timur.. basically I went to revert back to stock and wiped out the operations system... I only have the "team win recovery project v2.8.0.0" on it... I have tried to install and redo my drivers on my computer.... just want it to work and when it's pluged on to USB port the computer does not recognized and thus I can't install stock rom.... need help bad

try going to the bootloader in the nexus 7, then connect it to your computer, this should pick up fastboot/adb device driver. hope it helps

does not help at all... go into recovery mode and bootloader... will not recognize tablet

Did PC recognise your device when u connect it with USB cable ....
Is your device is charging when u turn of device and connect to charging ?

pc does not recognize and yes it charges I said in origanl post... it charges from outlet only im pretty sure.... pc won't recgonize at all... deleted drivers and installed new ones... used 3 Differnt comps
Dear all, please help me.. recently I flashed Masik x 5.2 Vince rom and since then my USB OTG is not getting detected on my phone (no notification) plus tried USB OTG checker app and there it says Android compatible USB OTG.. bt if I connect a USB device phone doesn't detects.. Also tried the USB OTG while running TWRP recovery, and there is detects. Please in need of help.. Do reply...

I am also have same problem, but just like you explained in my phone additional setting there is no OTG option...
