New Antutu Benchmark ratings - HTC Rezound

I just saw yesterday that Antutu updated their app and ratings system so I gave it a whirl.

It seems the scores are higher than under the old system and I'm curious if anyone else here has run the new test for comparison. This is my best after about a dozen runs.
And yeah, yeah I know benchmarks aren't everything but I like to have a baseline to go from when making tweaks.
My setup is de-Sensed Ineff Deus, 1836/384 OC, -50 UV on DSB's kernel, ZRam'd, Fsync'd and kernel based MP decision. The test was run on performance governor and SIO.

Yep I noticed that too, my score went from 7200 to 7800s. No overclocking etc..
How did you like that new 3d test? I had like 6 fps max lol embarrassing

When i get my N7 maybe ill get the kernal with the 700Mhz GPU overclock and see how fast it is then.

That's one thing I'd love to be able to do with phones. The Rezound with a newer chipset swapped in would keep me happy for a long time.

My score is attached. Setup is CounterShrike 2.3a with default settings and the SD card that came with the phone.

They tell you good info really good info which in some cases is true. Example use quadrant and flash a kernal that's overclocked and run the benchmark. Try with stock kernel and benchmark that there's a noticeable difference you can actually feel when using the device. Benchmarks probably ain't the most accurate thing but that's all we have to check our phone performance. I wouldn't go as far as saying they mean nothing but i wouldn't bank on them for accuracy.

Exactly.
When you're trying to get 8 hours+ out of your battery, your screwed. Benchmarks are useful for developers. Though I don't see why anyone would need to raise their benchmark except to "show off."

CDMA:
4200+ quadrant (paid version) // 7300+ antutu @ 1.56ghz
74FPS on nenamark 1 // 53FPS on nenamark 2
cant go into detals either
GSM users report the same
and battery life is great
On MeanROM 2.6 clocked at 1.56ghz, 320mhz GPU, 266 2D Clock
Quadrants: 3900+
Antutu: 6000+
On inbREDed 5.2.5 at sane values could get 4200+ quads and 7100+ Antutu

How to have a fast phone!!

Feeling fustrated about the galaxy ace lag??
Well with these simple steps your phone will be lagless.
I DO NOT TAKE ANY BLAME TO DAMAGING OF DEVICE. TAKE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
FIRST install a lightweight rom such as icecream sunday final or miracle v4.
SECOND install a script. Script i use is slaidfastmod v2. Other scripts work fine too such as zippalingers script or any others. Make sure these scripts improve performance, as it will be listed in the features.
THIRD go to cyanogenmod settings and tap performance. Change the cpu governer to smartass and change minimum frequency to 122 and maximum to 864.
FOURTH reboot and enjoy your fast phone.
If u have any questions just ask.
Hit the thanks button please.

No i am not. It is stable and fast. When it is over 900 it is unstable
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda app-developers app
Each device varies when it comes to overclocking. Mine becomes unstable going above 864 but runs fine at 844. For others it will be different because of the variation in the processors

Is the EVO line the most notorious for camera limitations when it comes to port/source ROMS or is this common with other phones? Besides my Hero all I've ever owned have been EVOs and there are always camera issues.

It's HTC in general, more or less gingerbread sense and up has had the camera driver integrated with sense to its core, so it takes some time to get it working, since it worked in jellybean it shouldn't be too hard just camera is low priority

Beastmode was slightly faster overall, and got the same battery life. That's my experience.
Why it got removed though, is 2 random reboots in a day with default options is too many. I like speed, but i'm not settling for anything less than functionality on our powerhouse of a phone.

All Samsung did was optimize there cpu's to go to full power on benchmarks which is not cheating (no overclock no added performance).... Instead of sitting idle like other phones as soon as the app launchs its game on mode lol. Which i think instead of optimizing for benchmarks they should worry about the UI and system performance
