[ROM][Official][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies for the Nexus 4 (mako) - Nexus 4 Original Android Development

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions:

Fastboot oem unlock > fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM.

GENERAL COMMENT AND REQUEST:
We ask all the regular contributors here to please answer the "xxx is broken" or "yyy force closes" statements without an attached logcat with something like "LOGCAT or it didn't happen"
Feel free to be creative but DO NOT respond with wipe cache/clear data or any other attempted solution before the reporting user has taken the trouble to actually try to help solve the problem (e.g. by attaching a logcat, detailed steps to reproduce etc.).
We need to force more discipline in how issues are reported which will help us all find and squash bugs that may exist.
Just clearing data etc. may in fact cause us to never find the bug that caused the issue and just makes for lazy users.
The CyanogenMod team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!

Thank you Cyanogen!
FIRST!
For non-development issues like battery life and mods, see the Q&A Thread.

You're welcome. Enjoy the builds guys. Lots of good stuff planned, starting with those pesky QuickSettings http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/27063/
As a note, in case you all haven't already, both developer settings and the CM performance menu are now hidden behind the 'tap build number in about phone' trigger. Make sure you do that if you want to see your OC controls and the like.

The moment we've all been waiting for...

Oh, HELL yes.

This is an AOSP-based build with extra contributions from many people which you can use without any type of Google applications. I found a link from some other project that can be used to restore the Google parts, which can be found below or elsewhere in the thread. I've still included the various hardware-specific code, which seems to be slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Visit the CHANGELOG for a full list of changes and features!
All source code is available at the CyanogenMod Github!
If you'd like to to contribute to CyanogenMod, checkout our Gerrit instance.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- First time flashing CM 7 to your N1 (or coming from another ROM)?
1. Unlock/root your device and install Clockwork Recovery via ROM Manager or Amon_RA's recovery image
2. Do a Nandroid backup!
3. Update your radio if necessary
4. WIPE
5. Install the ROM
5. Optionally install the Google Addon
- Upgrading from earlier CM7 or nightly build?
1. Do a Nandroid Backup!
2. Install the ROM (your Google apps will be backed up automatically)
HOW TO REPORT BUGS OR PROBLEMS?
- Was it a hard reboot? Get me the file "/proc/last_kmsg".
- Was it a soft reboot or a "boot loop"? Run "adb logcat" and get me the full output.
- Pastebin links preferred
- Please use the issue tracker whenever possible!
Please visit the CyanogenMod Wiki for step-by-step installation walkthroughs and tons of other useful information.
The preferred method of installation is via ROM Manager, or you can head over to the CM Forums for manual downloads.

Really it's not that difficult to just use the dewonkificator app out there to temp fix the problem. I guarantee the CM and TD folks are working on it and when it is fixed, there will be cries of joy on the nightly thread.
Until then, all that is required is a tiny little app
Will try out and much thanks for Team Douche for getting this rom going without the official OTA.
haven't been paying attention to the nightlies and i was thinking of flashing this but what exactly is this wonk that everyone is talking about?

BUGS LIST: (Courtesy of Hanger84)
Hanger84 said:
Just to save a headache for Meadows, here's a little list of what doesn't work and work arounds....so that the same question isn't asked over and over again, and so that the same bugs are reported over and over again...
1, SDcard does NOT work and likely will not work until kernel source is released
2, Camera does NOT work and likely will not work until kernel source is released
Both issues are kernel related and no switching of apps or libs will provide a reliable and viable fix for either
3, WiFi works for some and not for others. The best workaround to get it working is to turn WiFi on and reboot the phone. After the reboot, WiFi may work.
4, Roaming icon does NOT mean you are roaming, it's just a a bug. It does not mean you are roaming or that your not receiving a signal.
5, 4g DOES work, even though it may not be indicated. There are times where 4g may drop. A simple reboot should fix this.
6, GSM support is NOT 100%. This ROM is meant for CDMA/LTE. Reporting bugs while using it on a GSM network will not help fix bugs as the main priority is CDMA/LTE
If I forgot anything, I'm sure someone will mention it.
Sorry, I'm not trying to be a douche bag, but after 24 hours, I see the same things being asked and reported as bugs, so hopefully this will help.
Also, if you do not know how to flash the ROM and you are S-ON, or you don't know what TWRP recovery is, check the stickies. There are plenty of threads on how to flash a ROM, the various methods, and what recoveries are available.

Also, envision me flipping the bird to Verizon's update schedule (fingers crossed OTA rolls out for kernel source).
Thanks again.
Thanks for the cm9
Glad to see this thread,lots of ppl have helped out on CM7 and cm9/10 and might bring some ideals and workarounds to it...AOSP looking good for the Rezound...really not to much to fix..just needed this place to post and HTC to give us source..lol or Verzion,:laugh: whoever is holding things up.

I flashed my brother L7 with cm10 from the start of development. But from time to time it turns too laggy to operate.
So today installed the last release, with seeder v7 and Purity Kernel for cm10...everything seems to be working as it should. But now in about the phone shows 388 mb of memory, is that normal?... Seeder works by itself?
Thnx for any advice!

For anyone curious, he means the mic works but still cuts out after a while. Not any "worse off" :]

I would say to clean flash as the officla nightly uses m7 kernel base among others.
@all

Neither focal or the stock camera will focus for me. Anyone have a workaround?

Keep the kernel stock. They have changed a lot so other kernels aren't gonna work. At least no crpalmers.

Been running this for a few hours! Very stable and fast so far!
I can't UV the stock kernel correct? I'm just so spoiled with CP's kernel and I like his HTC Color Enhancement mod lol

[ROM][4.4] Unofficial CyanogenMod 11.0

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (Kit Kat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

It's a preview not a daily driver. It's not expected to fully function yet. I released so you guys can peak at it.

unjust is the closest thing to god ever
lol the title
but in all seriousness, even though this phone is three years old and it's showing its age, and a lot of devs have left this thing, it's amazing that you're even still around, let alone testing and building stuff.
thank you for all your hard work, and for CM. CM is my ROM of choice these days (but i'm too lazy to edit my sig right now)

Heck, max you could ever get out of it is around $35. Nobody cares much for a phone that doesn't have a dual core processor, a camera over 8MP, a screen over 4.5" with a resolution over 720p, and a front facing camera. The only way you could possibly get over $50 out of it is if you advertised the hell out of the fact it runs KitKat (eventually ).
yaay.. its run, thats the important thing. bugs is allowed here
this is great! i'll be following the progress on this rom with great interest!
thanks again
Now we may find out the real world benefits of Google's "low memory optimizations". Combined with ART some day, the Fassy might have a third wind.
Thanks Unjust!

Yes that is true. but for now it is lol. But vanir is coming soon. This will be considered stable when sdcard works because it is preventing camera , gallery , and google apps from working . Other than that it's stable and smooth other than the browsers graphical glitches and data which we know isn't working again just like 4.3
would be fun to see what it could do
