SIM Card/Plastic Cover - AT&T LG Optimus G

Can anyone tell me if the micro SIM card is supposed to click/snap in? Mine doesn't and the plastic flap thing that covers it is popping open and thus up pops my SIM card.
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2

It doesn't necessarily snap in but it pushes in and stays there. Takes a bit of prying to get it out.

Mine keeps popping out. The micro sd card stays in, but the SIM won't at all. Then it pushes up on the plastic flap and it opens up...

How does your phone work if it keeps popping out? D: try using a card or something and pushing it back into the slot.

It works like the sd, push it in and it stays, push in a little further and it comes out.I used a paperclip to push it in.

Oh god haha. Maybe take it to whatever you got it and see if they fix it.

I think that's what I'll have to do. The spring thing must have something wrong with it. Problem is, I bought it from an authorized retailer and they are closed today. None of the AT&T stores had them. Drove all over God's country just to get the phone. LOL
Mods, you can close this thread since my question has been answered.
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2

Mine did the same thing when I first got it at the store. I used a paperclip to push it back in until it clicked.

hmm... I know when I got mine, the Best Buy guy was trying to be helpful and put the SIM in for me. it took him a full 5 minutes to get it to stay in the slot and not pop out, but one done, it stayed in. I'm wondering if the mechanism on yours isn't working or if your SIM isn't quite in properly

Are you SURE it is pushed in all the way? For instance, I couldn't get mine to click until I pushed it in with a paperclip...
Couldn't push it far enough with my fingers to get it all the way in.

How to get LTE SIM cards in bulk?

I have the Nexus and the Vigor. If I had my way, id switch between the two often. My only choices are going to VZW or ordering one at a time over the phone. Does anyone know of a way to get them in bulk?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA App
i'm pretty sure you can use the same SIM card in both phones.
I used a sim cutter to make my large one small and switch between the two. They usually come with an insert or adapter for the micro sim to fit in the rezound.

Can't you clone a sim? Might call VZW and see if they would allow it and send you a micro. Just a thought.

7105 housing on 605

Does anyone know if you can out 7105 housing on vzw 605 and if that will open up wireless charging pins?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
I was thinking of doing this. The back case is only like $20, so even if it doesn't work, you're not out a whole lotta money..
Yeah I agree ordered mine will find out when it gets here

If you're talking about the battery cover its not going to work unless you modify underneath. There is another thread around here of something doing the mod using a dremel

No, we're talking about this:

Just replacing the Verizon piece with the international piece for easier access to the charging ports.
Found one on ebay with free shipping for 17.95

The 7100 allows wireless charging, correct? If removing 10 or so screws and swapping a back plate is all thats needed for wireless charging, I'll order one of these. Let us know how it goes.

That's pretty cool man, glad you decided to give this a try. But from the posts and videos I remember seeing there was a little more to it than just exposing the metal connectors. I'm not sure exactly. It was a long time ago and I never bothered to follow up on it cause I figured it was too much work for something I most certainly won't even be using in the near future. But I hope it works! If it really is as easy as just changing a piece of plastic I'm all over it, whether I end up using the feature or not.
Yeah I remember reading that people had to put a couple dabs of solder on the contacts to build them up in height. Without that, the contacts would be too low and they wouldn't touch the charging pad. We'll see what happens when xterra gets the part. :fingers-crossed:
It wont fit. I did the same. The housing is different in the area just above the battery

[Q] Can't Get Most Recent OTA on Straight Talk

Hey all,
So I've been constantly checking for the OTA with my Straight Talk SIM, and nothing ever happens. It's like the phone isn't even looking for it. It says I have to switch to CDMA mode, so I do, but then still, nothing happens. It's frustrating. Do I have to have a working Verizon SIM for the phone to look for the update? I have an old Verizon micro SIM that the phone recognizes but it's not making a difference...
Anyone?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
You have to be on Verizon to get the ota.

No your not stuck but it takes a few steps to get the update on straight talk. You will not b able to get the ota but you can side load the update with ADB and fastboot if u know what you r doing. I don't own a DNA so I don't know much about them but I'm sure u can find instructions to flash a ruu if you look around this site long enough. Good luck and hope it works out, and by the way I was gonna get the DNA on straight talk but heard MMS wasn't working, is this still a problem?

Bricked LGOG resurrected by mobiletechvideos.com

So I was trying to restore my phone to stock from the N4 conversion. I was a bonehead and accidentally restored the wrong partition image and then my phone was toast. Thanks to mobiletechvideos.com, I am writing this message from my phone.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate your work and would recommend them to anyone.
That being said, I'm planning on building my own JTAG very soon.

Georgia.
They received it on Wednesday and I had it back in 7 days. I did pay for rush processing and expedited shipping. So $95 when it was all said and done.
JTAG http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Test_Action_Group
It's a low level way to interact with the phone when the primary os is not installed or borked like mine. My solder fu is not that strong yet, so I didn't want to attempt to figure it out myself.

I'll fix this post in the "morning."
I have had two experiences with Mobiletechvideos and my Samsung Galaxy S3.
Bricked it in January -- sent it off and it was back to me in under a week. Worked like a charm until,,,,,
Two weeks ago I was flashing a custom rom when the battery died. My fault.... sucker was dead, dead. Sent it back to Mobiletechvideo on a Thursday (overnight mail). It was back in my hands the following Saturday. Working just like new again.
These guys are great - I appreciated that they communicated with me through the process.

home button sticking?

So my button keeps sticking. I can't fix it I fail...
Anyways my phone has a couple scratches on the side because I dropped it once. The screenis clean woth no scratches at all since it had a screen protector the whole time.. do you you think samsung will cover it under warranty?
I can't see any reason why they wouldn't.
