Other HTC headset - HTC Rezound

Hi,
I misplaced my iBeats, since I don't listen to music on the phone, I just need a pair of headset with mic, would something from Evo 4G or other HTC phone works with the Rezound? I did a search didn't find any info related to this.
This is the one I am thinking about getting:

any headphone will work as long as it fits.

I heard the ps vita headphones were good and at like $15 I think they have a mic as well

I know Jay's sound really good. A bit pricey but are comfortable in your ears for long periods of time. I think the one I had was jays ones then my sons cat chewed the cord like all the other ones. Definitely going to get another pair.

Sony makes a really nice set of headphones with the mic, If any headset works as stated above, that would be a pair I would consider. Walmart has them and also office depot, and usually theres like 3 or 4 models about 5 - 10 bucks apart.
There's been a few times i was traveling or something and needed a pair quick or the kids lost my girl's pairs, and a quick trip to walgreens and $15 got a nice set of stereo ear plugs and I know some of them have the mic and headset controls that will work with the headset hook mod.

Don't laugh but try Big Lots if you have 1 near you. The last time I was in the 1 near me they had a ton of ear buds & over ear headphones real cheap.

Bluetooth to AUX ?

Anyone have any good solutions? I am trying to find some, but coming up with older outdated results.
I basically want a bluetooth receiver that I can plug into my AUX input of my car. This being used for music, GPS and calls. I would also like something that can keep power through the car lighter if possible.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Just wanted to warn people there are two versions of this. The BTAXS and BTAXM. On Ebay you'll see both and the M is cheaper, but that one only does bluetooth calling no a2dp stereo. So you want to buy the BTAXS.

Their English is pretty bad but from the part of the description I can make out it sounds like a A2DP receiver, so it should work.
Just so you know, amazon has this a bit cheaper. I think amazon can be trusted more than ebay imho.
Can't post a link but just search for "B0036ORN2U" on amazon and you'll find it.

can confirm the SCOSCHE BTAXS motorMOUTH II Stereo Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kits is great for music streaming had it for a yr now used with both evo and evo 3d and works great.... for handsfree calling isn't that great but i haven't taken the time to relocate the mic closer so cant give u the most accurate review there

Quick update, I received my Scosche motorMOUTH II Stereo from the ebay I linked. I received it the day after I placed the order. It works great, sounds great. People can tell I'm on speakerphone but they understand me fine. The only con is that you can't charge it while using it. it usually prevents you, but I was able to get it to charge while running, the problem is that you will get the weird feedback sound from the car lighter through aux cable.... Not sure how to explain it.

That's a ground loop. Google ground loop isolator or ground loop filter.
The one I have looks exactly like the PAC SNI-1/3.5 or the PGLI35 (just google those terms) and it works very well - don't pay over $15, I think I paid less than $10 three years ago. It looks like the Kensington Noise Reducing Car Audio AUX Cable has it built-in if you need something longer.
I got this one for $32 at tmobile store with the 50% off coupon. Its a headset that comes with an adaptor to plug a 3.5mm audio jack and a stereo headset.

Yes. Under each bluetooth device you pair to on your phone you can select whether it's used for music, calls, or both; and you can pair with two devices simultaneously. I do this successfully all the time with my Kensington Liquid Aux (for music in the car, does calls too but the mic is crappy) and a cheap BT headset from LG.
It's a shame that Kensington unit is hard to find now, the remote it comes is SUPER handy and it's something I haven't seen included with any other BT bridge. I attached the remote to my Civic's steering wheel and it literally looks stock.
Another good bridge for music only is the BluBridge mini-jack Rx, battery lasts a long time and you can power it with any USB car charger, really good range too. I got one last year and liked it so much I got a second during Christmas to give away as a gift. I use it at home or during small get-togethers so I can stream to any stereo or set of portable speakers.
Ive been using this one http://cgi.ebay.com/IOGEAR-Bluetooth-Wireless-Audio-Transport-Headset-NEW-/150443532234?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2307221fca
Not trying to be rude or anything but why use bluetooth?
Why not just plug your phone directly into the Aux?
I have one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001DDE4VY/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/175-8678155-4748113
And it works well. It's expensive....and it doesn't plug into your Audi port.....and the Mic isn't built in ....the Mic comes with it, you have to plug it in and clip it on to your shirt. The satechi device works real well though.

[Q] Stereo bluetooth headset

Newegg. I got the Motorola ##9 in the ear for like 45.00 regularly 100.00. I also got one at Best Buy, it is made by Rocketfish for about 50.00. The Rocketfish is an on top of the ear, and I like it as well as the Motorola. These both have a hidden mic, and have great sound quality(I am not an audiophile)so that is my opinion. Motorola's are not as comfortable as the RF's, but they they are more concealed.

It makes it much easier to control your phone while you're excercising for example without the cord connected to it.
At the same time the module itself also has buttons to control music and access voice commands.
Another thing is that the module also has a mic built in to work with headphones that don't.
Another +1 on the Sony MW600!

BH-503 Designer's Bluetooth Stereo Handsfree Headset (13-Hour Talk/240-Hour Standby)
Works like a charm with my S2.
I picked up one of the Sony WM600 headsets this weekend. It was on sale at the local AT&T store and with my FAN discount and taxes, the price came to less than $42.
Today is the first full day of use, but I've been using it to stream music and podcasts and one 15 minute phone call all morning long. About 4 hours on it so far and the battery meter hasn't budged. Range is decent - I've wondered off about 20 feet with no loss of audio. Radio works better than I thought at pulling in relatively weak signals.
One complaint - the call/hangup button is positioned in such a way that when you grab it to release the clip (like you would to re-position it) you end up pressing the button.
One oddity - when you press the call/hangup button, it seems to sometimes loose it's connection to the music stream and can take a few on/off bluetooth toggles to get it to reconnect.
So far I really like it. The display is nice and passes on caller ID information. It's very small and from what I can tell so far, the battery life will be decent.

What Bluetooth are you using?

So.... I'm in the market for a new Bluetooth and wanted to get some REAL user feedback of what everyone is using and what are their pros and cons are of the Bluetooth you are using.
What I'm looking for is a Bluetooth that can take advantage of Androids voice commands thru the Bluetooth with out touching the phone (i.e. Call xxx, navigate to... Listen to.. Send text to...)
Also I have seen and been reading that some Bluetooth manufactures are releasing their own apps in the market. which enhance the Bluetooth experience with text to speech, and ability to respond to text thru the Bluetooth.
Also would like to know what sound quality is, how well music streams, voice and call quality(on both ends) and distance away from phone(how far you can go) and talk time.
There is one Bluetooth I have been looking into, and it is the motorola HX550 that sprint has.. It has moto speak app (which will read your text to you and you can respond to text thru the Bluetooth and has a range of 300 feet.
So please let me know what your pros and cons are...
Thank you for your input...

I have the Jawbone Icon and I'm very happy with it. I upgraded to it from the Jawbone 2, which I still have and it still works perfect as well. With the Icon you can listen to music and audio from movies/videos on your phone. All you have to do is sync it with Jawbone's website and update out to the latest software. The company, Aliph, constantly has software updates and apps on the Jawbone website so you can keep your headset up to date with the latest features. I've never had a Bluetooth headset before that had those kind if features, its really nice.

I have the hx550 and am happy with it. I listen to music all day at work through it. Motospeak works pretty accurately and you can customize the fit for you easily.

I don't use it a ton but I have some cheap LG model someone gave me as a gift, nothing remarkable about the earpiece itself... The car dock/speaker it comes with is pretty neat tho, it comes with a basic windshield cradle with two suction cups and it has photovoltaic cells on the outward facing side... So I drop the earpiece into that car speaker/solar charger and I never need to worry about charging it.
Kind of gimmicky since the batteries on these things last a while, but since I don't use it a lot and my car didn't have BT it's particularly convenient. I use a separate Kensington kit for BT music streaming in the car tho, the remote on that LiquidAux kit is something I haven't seen elsewhere.

I've been using the Motorola S10-HD headset for a few months now and like it a lot. The mics isn't as good as on a dedicated talk only headset like the jawbone (which I also own but always seem to misplace) but its durability and multi function use as a stereo headset when needed works perfect for my needs.
Far as the specifics you mention, I've been clear across my house and still had a great connection while listening to music. As far as function, it seems to do everything my jawbone does in terms of using the voice dialing and music player controls but I haven't figured out a way to send a text message via the headset, that would be handy.
Just ordered the jabra sport Bluetooth yesterday. Well update post when they arrive in a couple of days

I haven't tested the range too much. I left it in the backroom of my store and walked outside and it lost connection. Straight line distance at most 20 feet but lots of metal, electronics and concrete that could harm signal transmission

I have the Motorola finiti, which I love. It actually goes in the ear instead of the ones that have the big speaker that goes against the ear canal. Those require you to use the over the ear thingy, whereas this one doesn't because it goes in the canal. If you wear glasses, as I do, or don't want to wear the "thingy" all the time, I'd look at something like the finiti.
When it comes to voice dial, It's hit or miss, more often than not it fails to make the correct call or even one at all. I get a lot of "no result try again" or "calling John on mobile" when I clearly said something completely different like call Galaxy 1.

Everybody that has read and responded to this thread knew exactly what was meant, as did you. Yes, it could have been worded differently, but there is no need for this post. Besides there's different Bluetooth devices, not just the headset, there's in car speaker, earpiece, headphones, even a car radio. So calling them all just plain Bluetooth is standard for most people and everyone understands it.
While we're correcting people your sentence should have been "What YOU want to say is: Which Bluetooth headset IS everyone using?"

For those using the 3.5mm headphone jack into their car headunits.....

Hey XDA.... Figured I'd share another helpful hint in the world of cellular communications. So here we go:
If you are listening to your car stereo and supplying music or videos from your phone by the way of a 3.5mm stereo cable from your headphone jack into a 3.5mm jack or RCA adapter into the headunit, you can hear callers over your car speakers and use the phone in headset mode without needing to use the speakerphone. I put the pictured item inline to my phone and it works like a charm. Even the end call button works. I paid $2 open box from BB and they normally sell for 3-4.
Hopefully, others can capitalize on this and make life easier in the car.....

My Evo 3D has a dodgy headphone socket and it's time to do something about it!
I don't want to start looking into fixing it until I know what to expect because it's my only phone so can I get some advice on fixing it?
I'm a soldering God so no worries there and I'm not bothered about popping it open unless I'm gonna be wasting my time.
Would I be better off getting another and selling mine?
Is there a separate board containing the headphone socket I could buy and just swap it out?

Mhm it is not easy fix, but still a nice challenge. I fixed my HTC Blackstone HD with this method (unlock button was broken).
First check if it is possible by watching a YT vid to change the digitizer. Hopefully they take the chip with the headphone socket apart.
Then try too find the part on ebay and get it.
With the help of the previous mentioned YT vid, replace the chip with the headphonesocket. It took me a few hours too fix this by this way because you need to be very carefull. Hope this helps.
