I really feel sad to tell you but according to this site
Obvious news is obvious as the HTC Amaze 4G white has been officially discontinued for the better part of two weeks now as smart money would bet that T-Mobile is already making inventory space for the HTC One S. Sure, it’s about five or six weeks ahead of the scheduled HTC One S launch, but we’ve got no problem with the Amaze making way for the One S.
This isn’t the first time we’ve gotten wind of the end for the Amaze 4G with a false alarm indicating end-of-life for the HTC smartphone at the end of January. Of course, we’re just not worried about as this as we were the first time we got wind of this news, expectations for the HTC One S and the rumored HTC One X on T-Mobile are already high. We loved the HTC Amaze with its fantastic camera and while we’re sorry to see it go, we’re already looking to the future.

yeah I saw that too, probably the last htc phone i will buy.
the phone may not be as solid as I had hoped (so many issues with gb), but I love this phone a ton.
to see it go before the sensation makes me feel (as a consumer) quite screwed over, I forked over like 660 for my unit when it first came out like...5 months ago?

T-Mobile tens to make devices discontinued for a while but bring back. Remember the HD2? That got discontinued, then back, then discontinued again, then back like how many times? Plus it's the less popular white one. Not a big shock.

Why would they discontinue the white one? That's the best one. The black one is ugly.

These are matters of opinions which don't always go well lol. I wouldn't be surprised with in the next hr a war about black vs white broke out...
I personally love the white verison, but I'd imagine it is the less popular one, which is good to me as I'd rather stand out in a crowd.
This also was mentioned quite awhile ago. I have had my Amaze for the better part of a month and bought it knowing it would be discontinued.

When I went to buy my Amaze, I wanted the black, but they didn't have any in stock, so I got the white instead, and have to say that the coloring is quite pleasant.
I also bought a D30 case for it, and that is black, so I guess I have the best of both worlds!

Its still getting ICS HTC said it. The verizon galaxy nexus got removed from Google's site and still gets supported. And its just the color like the Mytouch 4g plum

The gazillion or so fruit phones I see during a ho hum regular day are, white.
It has a profound effeect on my opinion, and matches the minimalist model that has earned Apple many monies.

Get this, was just on the phone with a Tmo rep and was about to order the phone. He said, you have a choice of White, Blue or Black... Oh wait, Black isn't out for another few weeks, forget I said that.
I wonder if it's true that they're coming out with a Black version? I can't find anything other than a little picture of a Black GS3 on the internet. If they are, I'm waiting.
as i understood apple is the patent holder for a black bordered phone. I can't imagine Samsung going through the motions again.
I am so weary of apple that I don't care anymore. they do what they apparently must do. I truly like the pebble blue as it comes across as blackish most of the time anyway.

nope, there is just a model shop selling a 3d model with a black texture.
Black is coming, at least we got some info on it. I work at a store dealing with phones in Norway, and we actually talked about it today. I doubt it'll be as good looking as the blue though. It's so unique. White it's also stunning, but more ordinary imo.

I actually don't think it will look good in black, I think it will take away from the bright colours and 'nature' theme, just my opinion though!
fire is one of the 4 elements. charcoal is the result of it. I don't think it's out of the theme.
I was also looking for a black s3. but truly ador the indefinable blue color I got instead.
In the bleak dutch sunlight and indoors it's very dark. but not quite. for me the illusion of having an edge to edge screen (no high contrast between screen en casing) is important. why I don't care, it is what is is.
will I switch if a black s3 comes out? nope.

Can confirm this - talked to a friend who works for Elkjøp, they got a memo re Black SGS3s, expecting delivery in 3-4 weeks. He's pretty sure it's reliable, if that's worth anything.
Will probably get one to replace my freshly ****ed up chipped bezel caused by whisky last night...

Good point, well made. Talisker is God's tipple and is blameless. As indeed are Macallan, Laphroaig and Glenmorangie.
The whisky frenzy was due to going out with a mate whose wife has just left him, stole his passport and ripped thousands from his bank account. So my drop was entirely her fault.

Looks like there's going to be a white version of the One X+ for the Asian market.
That's frustrating. I don't like the black. Ideally I'd want the HTC One X grey. I loved that colour.
Personally speaking prefer the Black myself, i have a Htc Xl which is white, and i honestly have never been happy with it, not the phone just the colour of the phone.
Too each their own i suppose.

White one look awesome IMO, I'd trade in my One X for one!
Black version looks great, but the capacitive buttons should be white as the HTC logo on the top. It's a little weird now. AT&T edition looks the best I think. I hope the international version will be available with the same color scheme.
If they release a white One X+ I'll definitely buy one then (ATT) . The black one I was on the fence about, nothing wrong with it, but after owning black phones for years its become boring and time for a change and to be different too. Plus the white One X looks damn sexy!

searched for awhile but got no solid answer. Anyone know if this phone is going to be made available in white anytime soon? Or is there a way to buy the white shell and remove the black shell and install it in its place? I want this phone, but i don't like the plain black.
Everything I have seen is the old Ford model T saying "You can get it in any color you want, as ling as its black" I personally havent seen anything anywhere that even hints that we will get anything else in the US. I'm sire you could order replacement parts from the international model and use that. Possibly even parts for the One X original??? The only difference is the innards of the phone. Not sure if that would work or not. Other than that you can find some pretty nice white cases for it, One X original cases fit the +

Same here. Just picked mine up yesterday from AT&T store and the guy asked what color I wanted. Just got the black though. I am a mechanic and the white wouldn't stay white for long.
Are you guys in the us? You are talking about the one x plus not the one x right?

I'm guessing the reps are mistaken with white OneX or new VX...maybe?!
The only way to get a white is via Asian import, I did that from mobicity here in Australia (google). White is super sexy. Doesn't have the soft touch finish tho of the black.

I'm trying to wrap my head around all the options also. I want white. I see HTC One X+'s in white on ebay, even a couple in the US, but my understanding is it won't have LTE, and it costs more than even just buying the black One X+ off contract through ATT. Thinking of just getting the Black One X + off contract and getting a white case. Or getting the original off contract in white.
Also, you are saying the imported white HTC One X + is glossy? Hmm, don't like that.
I want off contract, white, and LTE since I have it in my area. SO that means either going with the original, or getting a black + with a white case. Am I wrong?
Its not glossy like a GS3, its a soft Matt white finish which is still grippy but the reviews for the black HOX+ say its got a rubberized feel.
Mine doesn't have lte and from what I've read the att version won't be in white which is a shame, tho Lte in my opinion for any phone is a sales gimmick and over prices plans which always only have a few gigs data tacked on.
I wouldn't get the original over this and white hox+ all the way if u can find one.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the extra $150+ to get the white One X+ without LTE. Will probably just get the black direct from ATT.

I have typically stayed with the dark phones, usually black, but for some reason I'm really drawn to that silver One. I may have to shake it up and go with it.

as soon as i my contract is up in april and maybe it at&t lets me upgrade a month early in march, either way i am getting this awesome phone and rooting this baby.

The reason they passed on it is that it is too similar to the DNA. HTC and Verizon didn't want it to steal the DNA's spotlight.

That and Verizon is stupid. Why cant the carriers just provide service and leave the hardware part to manufactures? No Verizon thinks its Droid phones are great and have separate phones made for them apart from the world. Mindless morons.
Does anyone knows how much the phone will cost outright on AT&T or T-Mobile? If the price is the same as the European counterparts, I would just rather by from a reseller since it would be unlocked.

I don't think it is announced yet but I'm pretty sure it will be $550 on AT&T w/o contract.
