[Q] [XP] Bluetooth In-Car call audio isuue - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

My phone promptly detects the In-Car bluetooth and connects immediately, but when making or receiving a call, the outgoing audio is not at all clear at the other end. The incoming audio is clear and so is the music played over bluetooth. This issue was reported in Sony forums also:

Does anyone know of a fix to this problem? I am using the latest firmware 6.1.1.B.1.54

[Q] no sound on incoming bluetooth call

Car stereo has bluetooth. I finally hooked up a microphone so it's usable in the car for making calls. When I place a call everything works fine, but when I receive a call I can't hear the caller, although they can hear me fine.
Anyone else experience this and find a fix?
Running the latest official AT&T release with no modifications.
Yes, I keep finding this myself and I have discovered the "problem" and solution
Basically, any incoming calls default to handset speaker and you have to manually tap "bluetooth" to transfer the call to the headset/handsfree. When making outgoing calls, it defaults to Bluetooth from the offset so no problem!
What I do not know, however, is how to force it to default to Bluetooth on incoming call...
I have not seen that issue and I use BT in my car a lot. BB351
Something else that could be the case: Are you listening to music through A2DP bluetooth at the time that the call comes in? It's possible that the transition from A2DP to headset protocol is what is "blocking" the call from going straight to the handsfree?
chaosdefinesorder is correct, you could have a misbehaving music app (or any other app with audio over bluetooth, such as navigation).
I know that PowerAmp and Playerpro both work well with bluetooth with the music stopping when a call comes in.
I was listening to FM radio at the time. When the call ends it always go back to whatever I was listening to.
So next time I should tap the phone button on the radio instead of sliding the button on the phone, apparently.

Click to collapse
This was it. I have to answer the head unit, not the phone.
Operator error.

Bluetooth call issues

Phone connects with my car fine and also does audio streaming fine. However, sometimes when I make calls from my phone it pauses the music from my car stereo but the call doesn't get transferred over to the cars hands free. I notice when that happens, the bluetooth icon in the phone app changes to a phone with wifi marks instead of a bluetooth logo.
Anyone else experiencing this? I have this issue even with the latest .475

BT problem - Car audio system won't play ringtone

I recently connected my S3 (Mini, latest software) to a 2012 Nissan Qashqai and its Connect-system via Bluetooth. While my previous Nokia phones have worked perfectly with Nissan cars, my phone did not. There is no problems with calling or answering calls, and my contacts are automatically loaded to the car. The problem is that when a call comes, my phone plays my ringtone and the car's audio system plays an annoying and loud, generic ringtone. In other words, I get two separate ringtones when a call arrives to my car, one from my phone and one from my car's audio system.
I've tried to research this issue, and apparently I'm not the only Galaxy-owner suffering from it. Alas, I've found no solutions to this problem. I've found no settings for phone audio settings in the Nissan Connect menu and, similarly, I've found no settings for BT devices from the S3. As Nissan isn't the only car brand with this issue, I don't think I need to change my car.
Do you have any suggestion? Could there be a workaround or even an app that would help? Or is S3 and its BT-software simply incompatible with Nissan Connect, and there is nothing I can do about it?

Car Bluetooth issues - No voice on calls unless switching to phone speaker and back

Hi, I have a problem with my Mate 10 Pro. Every time I use my car's Bluetooth, I can't hear voice on incoming calls unless I switch to the phone speaker and then again to the Bluetooth system. The same goes for music as sometimes it switches randomly to the phone speaker and then I have to disconnect a2dp in my car and connect again. This is really annoying and frustrating. Any ideas how to solve this? Never had any Bluetooth problems with my previous phones.

Question Big bluetooth issue - Ringtone jerking

Hello,
after a long investigation, I found out that the problem with ringing is caused by the connected watch (huawei watch gt3pro). I assume that this is also the source of the problem with the disconnection and poor quality of bluetooth (call) sound in my car (Audi Q8).
Does anyone have a similar problem with a connected watch?
I have successfully sent the bluetooth log to asus developers. I hope that a fix will come as soon as possible.
I have attached a video (sound is needed)
