Or you can get the phone version instead of tablet from here...

Keys working good but I noticed the voice type not really working and the cursor always move back a letter after word is finished typing. Still good making my wife hating cause her I phone can't do this.

Scoping now. This would render Swipe completely irrelevant for me if it works as intended. Awesome. :good:

This is the best keyboard. LOVE IT!

I ended up going back to SwiftKey 3. I couldn't get used to not being able to swipe down to hide and right to left to delete.

lots of people dont even realize that this function is built-in so they dont realize that they can search for something like this.
I admit, prior to reading this thread, I didn't realize that there was built in screen shot functionality.
Is that rooted only or that's standard I thought that was ios but at the same time timing is kinda difficult

its a standard feature

Rooting doesn't give you any "features", it only lets you grant special permissions to apps. The timing for screenshots is super easy.

Just hit and hold the home button then tap power. Easy

[Q] keyboard multi touch problem

Anyone who is having keyboard multi touch issues? It does not happen all the times but sometimes it seems like multitouch in the keyboard doea not work.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I've had issues typing and it may be because I type too fast aka multi-touch issues.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
Yep, you may be right, but I had no issues when I was using Samsung vibrant. I see this happen when I press one key with one finger while I hold other key with the other finger, but with slight time difference.

It'll probably just take getting used to. I'm getting better at typing everyday.

Swiftkey won't learn

Has anyone had any issues with Swiftkey not remembering words?
I have been using it since Saturday and none of the words or word orders that I am using seem to be remembered. I have a strange email address that was always remembered on my EVO but not on the Galaxy. I love Swiftkey but if it won't learn, it's useless. Could I be doing something wrong?
Maybe a wrong version?
Thanks!
Have you gone into the settings to have it learn your texting and messaging habits. Ive found occasionally you have to go in and manually have it scan your data to learn your habits.
Still not learning...

What rom are you using? If it's CM10 you'll likely need the latest update for JB compatibility.
Stock galaxy. I am not yet rooted.

Try smart keyboard. I think its way better and actually autocorrects while you type instead of making you go back and fix your errors

Do a fresh install after copying your SwiftKey folder to another location. Just paste it back later if you want. That should fix any issues.

Google now...

In case you didn't know, Google Now is available for root users. We are running ARM v7 processors, so follow those instructions.

It's been available for a little while, but now it's almost fully working, just a few bugs here and there from using it, But it works pretty consistently with voice and everything. Love it.
Flashed it last night and has been working great. ^_^
Only issue I've seen was the ones they listed where I can't use the back button but doesn't affect functionality at all
Anyone noticing significant battery drain?

Flashed it, and don't know what to do now. No app, nothing in settings.
Flashed it last night as well. Seems to work almost perfectly http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
Flashed and get an "unfortunately Google search has stopped" message :[

Tap the microphone.
Hmmm does voice search work on any of these?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do but particularly the improved voice search function is pretty sweet. It's nice to be able to give the phone more natural commands and have it pick up on it. It also doesn't seem as impaired by rushed pronunciation as 4.0 and below.

No matter what I say, when I tap the mic or hold down search and it auto mics, if i say anything it always does web search. Never commands for anything. Cant create new calendar entry, cant text, etc.

Best Keyboard

Hello to all,
Besides the Android Keyboard, the Optimus G came with an LG keyboard that was very similar to swype. After changing back and forward from the LG keyboard and the stock android keyboard, I decided to give a try in my new Optimus G to the Swype Beta that is free and doesn't have a time limit or any advertising/spamming adware.
Long story short, I find the Swype Keyboard the best and most accurate for me in the Optimus G.
Try it, and let me know if you consider another keyboard better for the Optimus G.

Hope it helps.

I use Thumb Keyboard on all my devices. I love the themes and the Pinned Text option. It lets you save text and input it with two taps (great for emails).

I love Swiftkey too, if only they would add the saved/pinned text feature. I would be all over it.
Swype beta FTW ... I've tried to stop using it several times (because of their PITA install/update process) but I always come back.
Edit: the now testing the new SwiftKey Flow.

Definitely gonna have to vote Swiftkey 3!

The flow through space part needs some work, but swiftkey word prediction is definitely second to none.

Out of curiosity, did you notice in settings you can change the flow thru space behavior? Maybe that will help you out?
