Where can I buy HTC DNA in NYC or LA? - HTC Droid DNA

whats up guys?
next week I will arrive to NY and later to LA.
Is there a store that I can order online or local store that I can get Unlocked HTC DNA?
I found this one
http://shopamerica.htc.com/cell-phones/shop.htm?tNav=4
605 USD with shipping , But I saw this
"You currently want a prepaid phone and plan and do not want to sign up to a contract for a particular length of time."
What is it mean?
Thanks Alot!

Try Verizon stores or BestBuy.

You can also try radio shack or wallmart

I spoke with the Verizon's customer service
I ask them about buying the DNA, and if I can put a T-Mobile for example.
Basiclly that told me that the phone is just for Verizon, even the one without a contract.
Matty: That's the same phone, at full retail price. The only difference between that and the cheaper one, is that there would not be a contract attached. The only phone we have that is unlocked is the iphone 5.
You: so why should I buy it on the full retail price if its not unlocked?
Matty: That would be for someone who did not want a contract.
You: but he still have to stay Verizon?
You: can he put T-Mobile sim?
Matty: Correct, it'd only work on verizon
Still cant find a place that sells unlocked one

AMazing how the price went up on unlocked version...

And the ATT version is only $549!!
All of a sudden NewEgg has the International version for $800!!! I paid $649!
I may get this one to replace the wife's Captivate. She doesn't use much data. I have to have the Unlocked one for the $10 unlimited data plan as long as it lasts.
Buying the international version anywhere in the U.S. means it has no warranty. Clove has it for 395GBP ($615) delivered and it retains the 2-year global warranty since it was purchased in its country of intended sale. Expansys USA has it for $595 delivered and they provide warranty support by sending it to their UK branch for service should it need it.
Walmart has it in stores for $520 off contract.

If you want international version eBay is your best bet. They sell it around $550 with free shipping.

You can get an international SGS2 from an amazon reseller for $550, so it's not like $550 for the ATT version is amazing. I've seen it on Newegg for under $600, and right now Newegg also has the white version for $600. So tempting...

Has anyone been able to buy a One off contract?

I'm on vacation in NYC and tried to buy a One at the Times square AT&T but was denied. I was told they are saving them for contract upgrades.
Is this true for all AT&T stores, or was I fed some BS?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I could have today at a corporate store here in South Carolina and decided not to.
bs. try another store
I have been told in the past that technically there is a rule against selling phones off-contract on release day but the manager can override. Once they have enough inventory to not be concerned about selling out to new contracts or upgrades they are permitted to sell off-contract.
I preordered off contract on 4/5 and received it today...

Word of caution for off-contract purchase. If you have premier AT&T service that discounts your plan, every phone you add locks the new line in for 2 years regardless of whether you own the phone or not. It's better to buy on contract because you get the phone discount and same 2 year lock if you are on a discounted plan.
That isn't correct if you are using on an existing line...have done it at least once a year for 6 years, while receiving 18% off through my employer...

They said mine was 1 year contract. But everyone at ATT says something different. I wouldn't be surprised to see i now have a 5 year commitment.
Checked 3 stores, no dice. Oh well...

I meant if you add a new line. To your point, when you buy on contract, you are actually committing to 2 years of service, not the device. So yes, if you get a new phone and pop in an old SIM, there's not contract extension.
As a general rule, ask the AT&T sales rep if there are any stipulations or contract changes when you add a new line.
I did. Today. My rep said when the devices are in short supply they limit them to new activations only.
I had same issues with sprint. No stores will sell out right so I had to pay best buy prices:-/

No issues here. I've honestly never had an AT&T store decline to sell me a device at full retail. Within the last year on launch day I have bought the HOX, S3, Note 2, Lumia 920, BB Z10, and now the One full retail from my local ATT corporate store. Haven't encountered even the slightest resistance to selling off contract. Perhaps it varies by region?

No issues here as well. Went in to an AT&T store and purchased it at full price.
Went to one of the AT&T stores and was turned away except if I started a new account (hell no!)... So stopped by BestBuy and walked out with an Off-Contract HTC One
Bought mine off contract today. Out here in Texas.

I was able to get one today. I was denied at the retail stores unless I buy on contract. You need to go to AT&T authorized retailer stores. You can always call ahead to check, too.

[Q] Where to buy outright?

Hi Guys,
Canadian here looking to purchase the T-Mobile version outright as it supports AWS HSPA (something which has not been hacked / enabled on the other variants yet).
Anywhere in the US to purchase from that won't gouge too much on pricing. T-Mo sells for $580 outright but not sure if any locations will simply sell outright for this price.
Thanks
Stores will sell it outright for $610 plus tax
I wasn't able to get one from the store, so I bought one on eBay. It was a premium, but I had to do it if I wanted an HTC One because the 30 day return policy on my iPhone 5 was running out.
You can't find it in Amazon?

I'm not even looking to use it on WIND. Simply wanting compatibility with my Roam Mobility SIM
i bought mine with T-Mobile on the phone. I got it in about a week. I paid about 633 with taxes and shipping. hope that helps
Brand new, unlocked T-Mo from Craigslist. $520 yesterday. Not reported stolen and works fine on ST AT&T/ and TMo $30 prepaid. 4G on both because it's Pentaband.
Go to a Wal-Mart site and you can buy one outright with no account

I've tried. Neither Sprint or Best Buy is willing to match Amazon.com or Wirefly.com's price. Besides, Wirefly.com is out of stock, BestBuy.com is out of stock, and just a few hours ago, Amazon.com couldn't "guarantee" me that it was in stock.
That's quick.
If they had at least 4g service in my area I would have gotten one, may still if the price is right. Then flash it to another carrier, I buy Sprint phones but never use Sprint/Sprint service - 3g service for 90$/mo is an outrage and nuts for me to agree to pay.

Try "Fry's Electronics" if you have one. They Price match Amazon Directly not resellers.
Well, I finally got it. I got an e-mail from Best Buy around 10:00 am saying my phone had shipped. And by 11:30, UPS was knocking on my door. Kudos to UPS!!

Best place to buy TMO S5 "full price"?

If I were to pay "full price", as in $600-$650 or whatever, what is usually the best place to buy the phone, when something like warranty is considered?
Looks like Best Buy and Amazon don't sell it.
I'm considering getting the TMO S5 to use on my AT&T plan (grandfathered unlimited data).
If the TMO S5 gets TWRP recovery then I'm definitely in.
since you're looking for a TMO S5, have you tried a TMO store?

I don't know if this will help you but I purchased my Note 3 from TMOBILE but had to buy a TMOBILE PLAN (they said they couildn't just sell me a phone. So I bought the phone online and when it came in the mail - I cancelled the tmobile data plan aft, before I activated the line. Because I never activated the line, I didn't have to pay any fees - beyond the cost of the phone. The only other thing you have to worry about is getting an unlock code for the phone - Tmobile may or may not give the code to you - in which case you can probably buy it online - or it might be possible that Chain Fires Region Fix will work as well. (that is what happened on the NOTE - the region fix also unlocked Tmobile CARRIER. (it is also possible that secret samsung codes will unlock carrier (The S4 has codes that work for that phone - I don't know if they work on the S5)
I hope this helps... (I think I read that some people were able to buy a phone from TMOBILE for use on ATT and they purchased it directly from the TMOBILE store - but I am not for sure about that. I know that Best Buy will not let you do that.
The code to unlock the phone was fixed in future versions of the software and don't work on the 4.4.2 s4 software.
I doubt that it will work on this one.
If you are going to continue using AT&T you should be able to go into one of their stores and buy one out right.
It shouldn't impact your account if you do.
May as well buy the international version.

Dang, does Amazon, BestBuy and no other major retailer out there offer this phone?
I want to stay away from eBay because of warranty concerns.
