By battery also charges very fast. It charges about 45 percent in about half an hour. I wonder if my battery is broken and doesnt use its full capacity. Any help will be appricaited.

Try a different battery. And get better battery stats to check the wakelocks and cpu spy to see if your device is deep sleeping

2000 mah Battery

Hey guys I'm getting my new 2000mah battery tomorrow and I want to know some precautions. OK first - when I get it should I put it in the phone and use my phone until it drops to one percent and then recharge fully to 100? Or, should I charge the battery immediately after I get it (assuming it will be at like 50%). Thanks all

After 50% charge it over night (mobile off) . Use it till 50%, charge it over night (mobile off). Repeat it one more time. Than you can use it as usual.
That's how I do it. Read some technical information to know why.

Just wondering, how much did you pay for the battery?

Plug in battery, charge, use phone.
Profit.?
Modern batteries don't need any fancy charging regime. Just use it and charge it as you see fit. It will perform better once it's been used for a couple of weeks and had a few good full charges, but it is not required.
How much is this battery? And how many hours more do you get with it?
Bought it for like 40 bucks from Expansys and it will be here in 13 days lol. Also thanks for tips

I calibrated my battery TWICE.
It regularly recharges itself without even plugging it in and turns off at around 12 percent.
If I reboot I have either 15% more or 20% less battery.
God I love my x10.

Samsung galaxy s3 Problem !!

Hello i just bought my s3 yesterday and battery is draining very fast i have used the fix but i have that problem of screen which takes 88% of batery and it's not normal ! here is a screenshot

Keeping the screen on will dran the battery since that's what screens do.
Regardless of the device (including laptops), screens always take >50% of the battery.
Could you show the screen-on time?

Feck!! I thought it was the other way around. can this cause serious problems? I drained it completely last night.

Let me venture a guess. When you get a new phone, you tend to play with it a lot, hence the screen on time and battery drain Give it a few days, it will be fine -- this phone has great battery life.

The battery needs to go through a few full cycles of drain and charge before it's reached optimal performance. First week battery drained more but now it's performing brilliantly.
Just keep letting it drain completely and charging fully a few times and have auto brightness selected.

I've heard that li-ion batteries don't suffer from memory issues and there's therefore no reason to calibrate them or run them in any specific charge/discharge cycle.
If you ask 100 different people about how best to use your battery you'll get 100 different answers. Don't worry about it, just enjoy the phone.
Hmm. This phone probably has the best battery life of any android phone I've owned, and I've had a few.

Yeahh check outt my screenshot..I have set the brightness level to the lowest and still display is taking much battery..even cell stand by.. do i have to fix anything?.. expert advices needed..thankss
Look in the attachments..
You haven't said how long the screen was on for.
I could show this first screenshot and say OMFG the battery doesn't last, but actually when you look at the second screenshot, then there's obviously no issues (and I am indeed perfectly happy with my battery life)

lol, I'm a bit OCD about these types of things.
But if it's not a problem then why do we need to do it?

Tripe.
Minimum of 3 cycles to reach peak performance. I have flashed hundreds of roms/kernals, it ALWAYS takes a few days for the battery to normalise.
Op, take a chill pill, calm down, post again in a few days. If you're still having drain, it will be down to an app or your settings.

Still the same **** i charged it 3 times and the battery is draining quickly when i'm just in facebook or an app it goes like 2 min = -1%

Conditioning is more important than the initial charging of a lithium-ion battery.
Run it on the charge for an hour or two extra. But make sure you use the battery to around 20% charge then recharge it fully.
Depending on who you ask, this seems to be the best for longevity for Li batteries.
OK thank you
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
it's also very damaging to run lithium batteries flat (like you see in some screenshots where people run it to like 1%)
optimum charge for lithium is between around 30% and 80%. they will get better life with regular top up charges rather than full discharge and charge.
Re Samsung S3 GT-19000
I asked the same question to customer services when I got mine and was told charge first time for 8 hours,. even though the batt will come with some charge already in it,. they told me charge for 4 hours, then you can turn it on but leave it continue charging for a further 4 hours with minimal use, then your ready to go, the standby life is only a couple of days,. from experience, but if your browsing or playing games/watching video etc it will only last 7 to 10 hours,. hope thats helpful,. regards Gwest
No need to charge for x hours before use. That, and those "fully charged before discharge", "fully discharged before recharge" are for nickel battery which has memory effect. Lithium battery has no memory effect but natural degradation. To slow the degradation, just avoid fully discharge and high temperature.

your battery voltage stats?

Hi I was wondering what your full battery Voltage is. I am confident that my battery stats got messed up now. As the battery jumps and the top voltage sat at 4.103v which if I remember it was closer to 4.336 or something like that on the charger @100%.
Let me know what you have, thanks.
Currently 4.057 at 81%, off charger.

That's cool. Let me know what 100% (on charger) and like per say 5% before you plug it in. Thanks

I'll post in the AM with 100% on charger number. I'm still at 70%, so I won't be anywhere close to 5 when I plug in tonight... sorry. Normal use for me usually means about 20% left when I plug in at night... Home on Wi-Fi all day means way higher than that.
Edit: 4.313 at 100% on charger.
