[ROM] JellyBean.JDQ39.ROM.by.MADDOGGIN-UPDATED-3-27-13(ROM) - Nexus 4 Original Android Development

Based off stock JellyBean Source Code JDQ39 and my other rom for gnexus toroplus HERE
Latest cherry-picks from CyanogenMod gerrit code here
I did not use cyanogenmod source to build, used stock source with cherry-picks so this is not cm10-1!
my goal is to have a solid stock rom with some mods but not so many that it interferes with stability and performance!
Whats included?

-cm-power widgets
-quicksettings
-longpress kill app
-T-mobile Theme Manager
-volume wake

FAQ
Q: Why can't I click on Install when installing an apk from the SD card?
A: Disable HALO by double tapping the HALO but hold your finger down on the second tap, then drag it to the X and let go. The Install button should work now. HALO may be reactivated after by clicking the blue circle at the top of the notification shade.
Q: How to I get rid of the dual-pane in an app?
A: In Settings, go to Hybrid properties, tap the ParanoidAndroid Settings at the top, and then go into apps. From there, you can modify everything to do with the tablet/phablet hybrid settings for individual apps. The Size tab and the Layout/UI tab are the two of the most interest. Setting size to 320 and Layout to 360p will make the app look stock. Size controls the size of the text and the size of certain UI elements. The Layout tab controls the actual UI layout. Generally, 360p is phone, 600p is phablet, and anything higher is tablet. You can use that to make any app think it's operating on any screen size. Some of them don't have any alternate layouts, some of them have several.
Q: Why does my screen go black when I'm on a phone call?
A: Your proximity sensor is being incorrectly triggered. Most of the time, this is calibration problem rather than a sensor problem. To fix, download Chad0989's Rezound Proximity Sensor Calibrator app. You will see a "NEAR" reading on the screen. Slowly increase the High Threshold until you see a "FAR" reading. Increase the High Threshold by 3-5 more than it takes to trigger a "FAR" reading. Test the new settings by covering and uncovering the Verizon logo on the front of the phone. The reading should switch between NEAR and FAR. Check "Set on boot" and close the app. If this fix does not work for you, your proximity sensor is bad, and you will need to contact Verizon for a replacement phone.

Just bugs. Been running some variant of this on and off for a couple of months now. Can never say 100% no bricks, but the base is the same CM10 that's been in testing a while, and I haven't heard of any bricks.

HTC may have given up on the Rez, but the Devs sure haven't! Thanks a lot!
Really really nice build, pre ion ran really well on my rez, thanks shrike for all the work.
There's still a risk of someone finding a way to Bork their phone with it but I'm giving my approval because it's proven quite stable for me in testing many various builds.
You guys and girls, Shrike has put a ton of work into AOSP along with several of our other devs. Releasing this is always a gamble because the dev takes some inherent liability of having to hear whining, so please keep things respectful and realize that you've been warned of bugs.

[ROM][CDMA/GSM][Unofficial-AOKP][JB-4.2.2] VanillaROM [07.01.13][LINARO 13.04]

This is a mainly stock build of AOKP 4.2.2 built with the latest Linaro Toolchain. This uses Chads stock kernel and while I may add some minor things, it will most likely remain a "Vanilla ROM". This is a work in progress....
All standard AOKP 4.2.2 features should apply:
General UI
Custom boot animation
Custom carrier label
Notification background
Statusbar brightness slider
Recents RAM Bar & Kill All button
Power menu options
Lockscreen
Customizable text color
Volume wake & music controls
Allow any kind & unlimited number of widgets
Navigation Bar
Fully customizable NavBar (buttons, color, transparency, widgets, etc.)
Menu arrow keys while typing
Customizable NavBar Ring
Statusbar
Battery indicator styles
Clock styles
Signal styles
Statusbar transparency
Customizable Statusbar Toggles (based on Google’s tiles)
LED Control
Custom Vibrations
Sound Settings
Less frequent notification sounds
Headphone action
BT connect action
Flip action Quiet Hours (CM)
Disable safe headset volume warning
Things that I know are broke for now:
If you had Screenshot as a NavRing target, or you uninstall an app which is a NavRing target, SystemUI may force close.
Fix: go into ROMControl and reset your NavRing.
I'll update this post as issues/fixes arise.

FAQ:
Will be adding a Q&A as things arise

Q: My status bar is transparent at times
A: AOKP has implemented a "Transparency control overhaul" that is enabled by default at the moment that changes the transparency of the status bar. Some apps change it to black and some leave it transparent. If you would like to change it and get back your solid black status bar go to Settings>ROM Control>General UI. Then down to transparency. Uncheck 'Match lockscreen alpha' and move slider to 100%, then save
Q: The phone lags at times
A: Go into Settings>Developer Options, and change Window animation scale to .5x or less, change Transition animation scale to .5x or less. Check Disable HW overlays and Force GPU rendering.
Q: My notification light used to flash orange when I got a new notification, now its solid green, how do I make it flash again?
A: Go into Settings>ROM Control>LED. Touch the bottom of the phone image, centered and just below the home icon. Click Holo, then click the blue
Q: My custom MP3 ringtones will not play.
A: Make sure your permissions for each file are set as rw- r-- r--
Q: Why won't my custom ringtones repeat
A: Add the following two lines to the build.prop:
Code:
ro.telephony.call_ring.multiple=false
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=200
Reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik cache
Thanks SynisterWolf !

I posted that comment from my computer while running WiFi tether 3.2 beta 2 on ad-hoc mode. I don't have internet so this is always the first thing I test
Edit: stock browser is not working right, it displays in tiles. I'm running a test build of my kernel right now so I can't say for sure it's ROM related. All browser from market work fine.

Sweet, but just curious what is all the fuss about using ad-hoc wifi settings? I use it and it works just fine, what is the disadvantage of using ad-hoc?

Its pretty limited on the connection type. Primarily suited for PC/laptop use. Most tablets will not be able to connect via ad-hoc as the ssid (network name) is not broadcasted in a way the tablet can handle. On the road the ability to tether my three kids tablets via Wi-Fi hotspot keeps my sanity

Sd Card
Hi evryone. I just flashed this rom and it's great. I prefer the Android experience to Touch Wiz any day. I do have one issue though and I thought someone here could advise me. My 64gb SDXC card is not recognised anymore and the phone is unable to format it. My Mac does not see it and neither does Windows 7. Any help? Much appreciated.

I highly advise not to since this release was based on strictly 4.4 based not 4.4.2 based... I will have update out by tomorrow or the next day.. depends on if my WiFi will not F**k up.... Also if you test this next release on Verizon I can't be 100% sure if it will mess anything up because I'm a GSM user
I already have prism and apm done. Just working on eqs, adding button control in settings, back to kill mod, and auto brightness mod. And maybe The message wake thing if I have time to tomorrow
