Hello guys,
I hope one can explain to me if and how i can tether wifi from my smartphone (or laptop but phone would be better).
I need that because I am havin a device that doesnt support wpa2 (yup stupid thing^^) and i dont want to make our fritzbox this easy to access
Can someone of you help?

I'm not sure what you mean, but if you want to use your computer's internet for your phone, try this: mintywhite.com/windows-7/set-windows-7-wifi-hotspot-quick-tip/ (I'm not allowed to post links...)
If you want to connect your computer to the internet through your phone, try barnacle wifi tether from market.

Hi guys, im having a hard.time with.my usb tethering and even the wifi tethering to work. Im on 2.3.4 coderom nexusace. Im on 3g internet now. Everytime I tried to tether, computer.can connect same with wifi tethering but there is no internet connection. pls help. Thanks!

Install WIRELESS TETHERING from Market. Its working FINE for me.

Go setting klik wireless and look for tethering hotspot.. Klik mobileAP. On laptop online ur wifi and u can see androidap connection then u can surf..

I dont install any software to use internet frm my ace.. Just using mobileAP and you can put password on that.. Its cool also no use cable..

ok here's the scenario, im using 3G internet and its working perfect on my SGA but when i connect it to my pc using usb tethering, the pc can obtain ip address from my phone but cant connect to internet websites same thing when i use mobileAP with or without password other phone can connect to my tethered wifi but they cannot surf or browse internet( i've tried different phones to connect to my mobileAP but still no good)... i'm still using coderom nexusace.

Globe doesn't support mobile tethering even for the iPhone unless you pay them more and activate tethering through one of their supersurf plans. Same with Sun. Not sure with Smart.
Is the phone branded for example I whit three net work.l can't tether with my threr network locked phone. But a can with my genaric htc.
Never understood what it is can someone explain it more clearly please?

With wifi tethering you can share ur data connection with ur gadget or laptop or other device over wifi.

In germany some providers don't allow tethering. It depends on your contract's conditions.
It's a good feature. Yup if you have enough money to pay for telco. What will this feature do?
- Disable Wifi connection
- Enable Data Connection GPRS/3G
- Use the Wifi tuner to broadcast Wifi. Of course, the connection will be GPRS/3G
- Speed? Really fast

Ad hoc in your pc/laptop?
Why you didn't trying "Connectify" ?
It's simple to use, but in some wifi adapter card it has some bug. Sometimes it turn off the hotspot itself, didn't know why.

Hi to all I'm having troubles on getting a working tethering on my p760 with Wind.
I start wife hotspot but I don't get Internet access.
Can u suggest how to fix this annoying problem?

Used foxfi on playstore and its client on pc and worked with us tethering, still hoping to get this solved to use wifi hotspot
