I have the same concern on it. Many mod for ICS, is there any mod (batery and/or status bar) for Gingerbread ?
Why are you people still using GB in the first place?? It's ancient man. No body's gonna develop for it anymore. Try JB 4.1.2 CM10 FXP 150, its super fast and smooth and has amazing interface.

There is a sticky at the top of the RAY forum that contains a whole bunch of tweaks, roms, kernels, mods, etc. It is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1628264 There is a long list of mods for GB including for the battery...look for the ones by Hansip87...usually something like 10 in 1 mod or something like that.
There is also a sticky for Questions and Answers for the Ray and it is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450295
You really shouldn't post questions as new threads in a Development section...if some one flags this thread, one of our new moderators will come and may close or move your post somewhere else....

So sorry, I wasn't telling you not to post...I was really just trying to get you to post in the right place, there is nothing wrong with posting questions in the Q&A thread and this may turn out to be useful/informative to other users....especially if the links to the mods are down....The other place that you might think about posting is into the "Themes, Tweaks, Roms, Kernels and more" sticky making sure to point out which MODs are down that you are interested in, so that the maintainer (devstaff) can try and help you. If these fail you can always try and PM Hansip87 and ask if he can provide you the mods that you need...I believe he is still active on xda...just a different device.
The fact that the links are down is pretty important....I think you should edit your OP so that this is clear....it will help every one help you and you won't look like you were too lazy to look for the mods yourself....

I don't know if i'm allowed to do so but,
Is there someone who can, and is willing to port a working vanilla (meaning everything working, but no fancy things like cm or miui) for the x10?? or am i not looking right and are the already roms like that?? all i see(correct me if i'm wrong) are themed roms en arc/se styled things....

It isn't AOSP but stock SE 2.3.3GB themed to AOSP, its a good rom though and it has SE camera which is awesome!

Actually its not stock themed to aosp. It is 2.3.5 cm7 based on aosp. With a few tweaks to let camera work.

Wow wow wow... I was talking about the CM7 by zdzihu not FreeX10. Simple miscommunication. In my other post you can see i wrote 2.3.5 cm7 not freex10.

and what might the base of the rom be?? AOSP?? SE 2.3.3! which is why semc camera works on it

No dude it isn't...it is based of CM7 2.3.5...I have installed it and used it. It is clearly 2.3.5 CM7 not 2.3.3 GB. zdzihu states that he has added proprietary stuff to make the camera work...If you wish to discuss this rant please PM me and lets stop talking in this thread.

Most of them and most of the framework aswel, still SE rom modded
Taking nothing from Z its a great rom and original stock 2.3.3 has nothing on it

I'm talking about cm7 too, not freex10
I don't think it contains much from stock aside from a few libs for the cam

Check your PM.
Many users are asking me how to patch hosts file, so I make a guide for all of you
1st method:
Right-click this [HOSTS] (thanks to knzo) and click save-as (or save link as).
Save the file as hosts (with no extension).
Copy the hosts file to /system/etc/.
Check the above the link regularly to block new ads
2nd method:
Download Ad-free from Google Play Store
Patch hosts file using Adfree
Copy hosts file from /system/etc to your ROM
Note: You do not need Adfree application again

It's a shame. Developers work hard to make apps/games and they even put on the market for free. Many of them gain only with ads.

but AdFree Android is an application developed by someone else, and this tut is just to show how to do what that app does without it.
So "hampering the dev earnings growth" hate shouldnt be expressed here, but instead to the Adfree devs.
I personally use and adore Adfree, coz i cant afford to buy paid adfree versions and find ads very annoying..

Can I also ask the make the first support request on this thread: how can I increase volume and vibration intensity? I can't find anything in settings that makes any difference. Can anyone recommend a 3rd party app or kernel that will help?

Let's hope development isn't lost. It's the finest rom i have ever used.
I did report a bug but haven't got an answer to it.
Checked a few things and noticed the following:
Swype on stock keyboard is not working when language is set to dutch.
When it's set in english there are no issues.
Using slide-it for now, hope it will get solved.

What I have on 3.8 is that the lock screen widgets are inverted.dash clock for example is expanded on normal view.

Hi guys,
Started using this rom just before the thread got closed and have one or two questions about it if any one could help.
1. When sending long text messages it is split into multiple messages, any way of stopping this and getting it to send as a single message.
2. I'm unable to change the CPU speed using the built in software, is this due to the stock kernel, if so which kernels are working with this version of android. If usually use siyah but as far as I can see it's not yet compatible.
Cheers in advance and hopefully we will continue to get future updates of this brilliant rom.

Will yank kernel also improve vibration sound/intensity when the phone is silent? It is quite poor at the moment.
Also, does anyone have clear instructions for installing yank kernel on an S3 with vanilla rootbox rom? I am finding the instructions a little confusing. I have installed other kernels, such as Siyah, and various other ROMS before, so I'm not a complete noob!

Ok i saw many JB roms in [Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Active, Ray, Live with Walkman Development] section.. And all is very beautiful and awesome. I tried few of them and it was quite great.
BUT, since all the created jb roms are meant to be for UI and customization, why not someone create a CLEAN JB rom.
I mean, make it simple, grab a launcher, a music player , video player and others. Keep it clean from optional apps. Just make it so stock feel. Normal equalizer, normal camera, normal lockscreen, normal launcher (TOUCHWIZ i prefer) , and maybe some lag free, wifi and graphic tweaks. I WILL GUARANTEE YOU THAT PEOPLE WILL REALLY LIKE IT!
Some people like me would really love a clean rom. We need a gaming jb rom.
So if anyone could make a rom that is clean and stable, we really appreciate your work.

Firstly there is a lot of difference between the XDA rules and terms and conditions, so please don't say XDA Rules are like some terms and conditions. And what the heck do u mean by saying you don't have time for XDA rules? If u can't see the rules or can't spare some minutes to see the rules, then probably XDA isn't a place for you. Now I know that why we find more and more spammers on XDA And next thing u can do is stop creating a thread for anything that comes into your mind and please stop answering all the old solved posts. Next this thread is no better than a best rom thread and thus is strictly not allowed. You can use the general chats or q/a threads for posting most of ur questions instead of making irrelevant threads and increasing the work of mods. If you really can't make a ROM your self then please no need to make new threads asking for a clean, best, fast, beautiful, slow, ugly, heavy, laggy ROM. The rules are made for a reason and have to be read. Next I recommend you to straightaway read each and every rule line by line, see all the other notes and threads by mods and follow them accordingly. Thanks a lot and sorry if I was rude.
