Hey guys I'm having a problem with the rom i currently have. its starts up after several minutes of use where the txt msg notifications disappears. just wondering if anyone knows a fix for this. It has happened in other roms but just never used the rom again. eventually someone found a fix but I can't seem to find it now. if someone could help please do

i have the galaxy for 5 monthes now..
switched tons or ROMs and kernels.
since i tried the 2.3.5 androidmeda(i think it started there) i have a problem answering my phone.
when someone call me i can slide it right in order to answer, the phone stop the ringtone like i answered but i cant hear anything hile the other side think someone answered him as he doesn't hear the tome anymore.
i tried to go back to KG5 but i cant get rid of it.
it got better as i changed the modem(used to be on KI4) to KE4 and KG5(the rom im with right now but its not good.i can answer but it takes 5-10 seconds before i see the call screen and able to talk properly.
tryied androidmeda,cognition,batista,xpower(the used to be),villain and so. none helped so i guess its not ROM related exactly.
Maybe some data was changed (such as the opening after trying androidmeda-the white turning cube and the android character insted of the samsung s 2 pic).
i tried various MODEMS in order to solve it but no progress yet.
anyone familiar with this problem?anyway to solve it?
Sounds like a hardware problem more than a rom problem. You have tried all them custom roms do its quite odd. Id say trying to go back to a full stock rom if you haddent already and maybe test out other voice features on the phone like voice record and the google voice search thing.

So after i leave my phone in sleep mode for say 20-30 mins it stops receiving my mail and whatsapp messages..when i turn on the phone i can only see the upload arrow flashing and after toying for a bit i start to receive all my messages and mails..ive been posting this on all the forums but no1 has ever replied or replied with stuff like re-install the app..ive configured the apn properly and running stock ICS with siyah kernel and LQ6 modem..ive tried over a dozen of roms and modems but i have absolutely no idea why this is happening?
A while ago i had the same problem and i fiddled a lot with it like installing wake lock app and other stuff and it did work for a good few days before i had to restart my phone and it was back to normal(not working!!) state!!
Can u guys please gimme a complete solution? Ive been having this problem since forever and this is really irritating not able to receive messages on time.

Hey guys, just updated to the v28 version of the Omega ROM (was on v27.2 before) and something that I was hoping would be corrected isn't.
I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed that their notification sounds are being reset to nothing after a couple hours. I notice this with the email/sms but not with the ringtone. I will set my sms notification to on, to whatever sound I want, it will work for a couple hours, then, even though the notification is still set to on, when I go into the list of sounds to choose from, none of them are selected.
same thing with the email. I will go in and set it again to the sound I want, but after a couple hours, I'm setting it back up again. It seems like this probably happens almost 10 times a day. Just wondering if anyone else has any ideas of what to do or if anyone is having the same problem.
I'd post this in the omega rom thread but I've been lurking for too long and not actually posting so I'm not allowed in there yet haha.

This is my first post on XDA. I have recently upgraded my SGS2 to a SGS3 (GT-I9300) and i seem to encounter the same problem i had on the old one. This time around i thought i should try to solve it.
The thing is that my phone sometimes does not start calls and i will explain that a bit. You into contacts for example, swipe from left to right on a contact to call, and it doesn't start the call, but i can't swipe again. If i give it 20 seconds or so.. no matter on what screen i am, the call will start suddenly.... You can see how this can get very frustrating.
Did anyone encounter this?
I am running on stock firmware, tried a few of them actually. Last night i've installed the latest firmware (I9300XXDLJ4) with multi CSC that had ORO in it's CSC list, thought that it might help. I will test today and write the results, but the thing is that i hate this firmware, even if it is jelly bean it is slower than the original ICS it had on it and i also hate the Orange branding.

i have had an atrix for almost a year now and have had no issues with it. recently i took a big step and decided to get the cm10 rom by th3bill onto my atrix!
all worked fine for a few weeks until about a week ago. i noticed that my lockscreen pattern wasnt entering as normal. the pattern would not connect to the dots i wanted it to. on the main screen if i tap on the central button to get to the menu for my apps it will automatically respond my touch to the right/left icon and take me onto my contacts/sms instead. also while typing certain letters e.g "t" will not be recognised and instead "r" will show up instead.
somehow i managed to remove my pattern lock but the other issues are still present.
i thought that it may be a bug with the rom so i decided to go back to cm7.2 which was running perfectly on the phone thinking that this may be the solution, but even that rom is now giving me the same problem :crying:
can someone please advise me as to what the problem is/what i should do?

I replaced my digitizer and the dead zone changed position.So know that replacing the digitizer might help or might not help...
