waited for so long!
thanks - you are the BEST!:cyclops:

woot!!!! been going thru the gerrit for days looking thru changes... the merges over the past couple of days got me thinking a release might be coming soon... & here it is...
just flashed... works great... apart from the data/gsm & gps issues everything else is good... i daresay as smooth as the 4.1 releases...
just a couple of things...
no mass storage... tried bexton's UMS app but nothing there as well
some layout/re-sizing issues on the lockscreen...
apart from that... great release... just waiting for gsm/data & can then use as a daily driver... will keep this overnight to see if there are any other isses...
great work texasice & evervolv!!!

You're the best Texasice!!!
I wait gps fix for flash it..

hi texasice but with data/gsm not warking u mean it works only on higer networtk or data not work at all? i'd like to flash it =)

Data doesn't work but this stuff works. Flashed it without gapps and it was working good on WiFi. I'm on 260 and with this with flashed gapps there are many fc's ... Never mind just wanted to check. Went back to evervolv 4.1..
Thanks for your work on preview of 4.2 on n1 texasice. #respect
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk 2

will this work on 250 system? what if I use bexton's jb gapps and i only install google now and google play?
I'm not ANYWHERE near a computer i can install blackrose on and 4EXT refuses to flash new partition layouts (if this 260 system zip exists)

Give it a try and let us know the results. I flashed gapps from goo. im .. it didn't go too well..
Note .. its just preview.

I really can't try I have limited TMO USA 3G(which is slow as hell) and I also haz limited data too(133 mb left this month)

Just need to fix data to use as a daily driver! To me it feels snappier than 4.1!!

So if anyone has ideas about 3g/gsm im open for suggestions.
I think the problem is here:
Code:
D/RIL_UiccController( 577): Received EVENT_GET_ICC_STATUS_DONE
D/RIL_UiccCard( 577): Creating
D/RIL_UiccCard( 577): 1 applications
D/RIL_UiccCardApplication( 577): Creating UiccApp: {APPTYPE_UNKNOWN,APPSTATE_READY}
E/RIL_UiccCard( 577): App index 0 is invalid since it's not APPTYPE_SIM and not APPTYPE_USIM
E/RIL_UiccCard( 577): App index 8 is invalid since there are no applications
D/RIL_UiccCard( 577): update: radioState=RADIO_ON mLastRadioState=RADIO_UNAVAILABLE
D/RIL_UiccController( 577): Notifying IccChangedRegistrants
but i dont know whats going on

I think its something about libhtc_ril.so...just a guess.
EDIT: And libril.so.

Didn't tried the rom yet, but can we make calls or we have no signal at all?
What if, the framework thinks that we have a cdma/lte device? Are we using the same 4.1 rils?

mini test
bugs:
clock cuts on the wake up screen
camera doesnt work
i tested with 220/8 and the rest and it works nice!
mobile network doesnt work
sd card i dont know yet

gps test and works!

This is absolutely amazing that it's possible. Awesome work Texas.

[ROM][BETA][ICS]CyanogenMod 9 "Stable" BETA1[UPDATED 8/13]

DRAGONZKILLER PROUDLY PRESENTS:
CyanogenMod 9.0.0-DROIDX2-BETA1
UPGRADING FROM ALPHA 4 OR LOWER REQUIRES A DATA WIPE!!!
Features:
For a list of features added to ICS please go to the Android website: http://www.android.com/about/ice-cream-sandwich/
Also any of the CyanogenMod features you know and love from CM7 are in here too plus a few extras
Also, as this is beta, pretty much everything is working but a few things are not. The stability of the ROM is so-so at times. Unfortunately I can't do much about it.
Working:
MMS is working!
Added dock settings (not sure if it works yet)
Added Mashup to build by default (thanks to Balltounge for the props)
Camera (see known issues for details)
Data Usage (optional for ALPHA 4 ONLY, not on by default, see section below)
WIFI **NEW FOR MX2!!! SEE PATCH BELOW***
Bluetooth
Data/3G
Tethering (see known issues)
HQ and LQ Youtube (used to be a problem)
And a lot of little things
Known Issues:
Besides a whole lot more of a lot of little things:
Graphics memory sometimes runs out: as we are on less RAM the memory management is a bit whack. Sometimes while rotating an app (noticeably the browser) it will "twitch" and crash. Also systemserver (the main background service) will crash and Android will restart (rarely).
Chrome beta doesn't work: it also requires kernel mods which I haven't messed with yet.
NOTE ABOUT CAMERA: Camera works where as camcorder doesn't. All of the features of the camera section work though.
USB Tethering doesn't work: This is an issue on all MotoTegra devices right now I believe.
Installation:
This can be installed over CM7/CM9 or BLUR but you MUST wipe data and cache if on a build of CM9 before Alpha 5. Also do NOT (I repeat) do NOT use TiBu to backup data from CM7/BLUR. I don't want to hear about how that doesn't work.
Download the links provided below
Install the BSR (patched if on CM7/CM9)
Reboot into the BSR
NANDROID <--- you'll probably want to go back to this
Install the CM9 zip from the SD Card MX2 Users Go to the MX2 Thread for the Patched CM9 zip once it has been updated to Beta 1
MX2 ONLY! Install the WiFi Driver zip from the SD Card
Install the GAPPS from the SD Card
Wipe both DATA and CACHE (no need to wipe Dalvik if you wipe both of these)
Reboot your phone
Enjoy CM9 Beta 1
Data Usage:
Data usage works with Alpha 4 to some extent. It will start to monitor your data usage through your 3G radio. What it doesn't do yet is monitor WiFi usage, allow you to reset your usage, track which apps are using data, and allow data warnings/cutoffs. Seems like a lot that doesn't work, but baby steps. A problem however occurs whenever Android crashes. If it does, the boot logo will show and eventually will completely crash the phone and restart. This is an issue with the kernel mods causing a panic when already installed and trying to get a 3G connection. As of now I don't know how to fix this and as such I'm having the download separate.
This requires adb or root explorer to use and needs to overwrite the file of the same name in /system/etc.
Downloads:
Also, if you would like (but not needed) to donate, see the donate button by my name. Gas/food money goes a long way
REQUIRED (even if updating) Google Apps (GAPPS): http://goo-inside.me/google-apps. Download the latest version of them for here and check the MD5 sums from there also.
WIPE DATA/CACHE IF UPDATING FROM ALPHA 4 OR LOWER!
CyanogenMod 9-20120814-Daytona Beta1: http://d-h.st/q7B
As before with Alpha 5, Beta 1 is still mostly stable, but will benefit greatly with the use of V6 Supercharger.
Milestone X2 WiFi Patch (for all versions of CM9): http://d-h.st/Pdy
Old Downloads:
CyanogenMod 9-210120716-Daytona Alpha 5: http://d-h.st/xPv

MD5 sum: ce776352f481c8be67296ac3e09abe77
Changelog:
Beta 1:
Updated to "stable" release of CM9 (though we're not 100% stable yet)
CM9 Features/Translations updated
Alpha 5:
WAY more stable than Alpha 4
MMS fixed
Mashup added by default
Dock settings added
Removed dual USB notifications
SD Card Apps (should) work now (tested with Temple Run)
Few little things
Alpha 4:
Camera

When you say data usage doesnt work, I REALLY hope you dont mean 3G data.
Also which version of Gapps are we aiming for? Im assuming the 2.3.4-.5 version? There are a ton of links and being safe is better than guessing.

All that means is that you don't have to SBF your phone.
You can just wipe everything in Cm7 recovery and install Cm9 zip.

Thanks for all your hard work Dragon. Can't wait until all the issues get sorted out. I didn't see anything under issues, so does HDMI mirroring work on CM9? About to flash but I figured I'd ask. Anyways thanks again for this!

Quarx has access to the repo's now and I've been talking with him on IRC. So I hope so. There's not that many changes needed to support GSM.

In Quarx we trust! He always delivers! Thanks a lot Hashcode, I can't wait to see the gsm version here soon!
May I know how to disable the HDMI function from this rom?
Or can anyone tell me what apps is(are) responsible for HDMI function?
Many thanks to anyone!
The future looks bright big brother. You're an
wow cant wait for a GSM 10.1
DISPLAY ROTATION FIXED? Did not see that the first time :silly:
Porting to GSM is not very hard. I could that too if you want..just an offer
Thanks for your work hashcode!
I wanted to ask, could I install the more advanced builds on ssv2?
I'm asking this because i just dont like the way ssv3 works, the space limitation per rom slot is critical for me,and I need all the sapce available.
Thanks for your work!

Unfortunately, no. The new ROMs are made for use with SS3 (currently hard-coded for rom-slot #1 due to security changes in 4.2).
From a support stand-point, all of my devices use v3.0 in the same way, so I can put out ROMs in a much easier manner. The v2 methods were different across several devices and I ended up having to maintain too many different versions of Safestrap and their ROMs.
I'm sure once things stablize (and/or a GSM version is available) Whirleyes will do a port/conversion method for his BMM.
I'll give it a try with patch for GSM
My patch won't work here!

Confirmed working on any "slot" on BMM 0.3.0 series
Maybe you can take this chance to move your ROM swapping logic from fixboot.sh to on fs section of init script.
It would be best is if you move all on fs section to a dedicated file (init.fs.rc) & import it from init.rc.
With that BMM don't have to do any conversion anymore.
New version for GSM RAZR (xt910) in the OP:
http://goo.im/devs/Hashcode/umts_spyder/cm10/cm-10.1-20121205-UNOFFICIAL-umts_spyder.zip
NOTE: Obviously, this is completely untested as I don't own the device or have GSM service to test on it. We may run back through some configuration issues, and may also see GSM signal problems (there is a CM patch in review for this).
Currently, there are no Mobile Data settings built into the ROM. I'm trying to keep it as vanilla CyanogenMod as I can, since I'm looking to get all of our devices merged into CM10.1.
Whirleyes: I'll see what I can do about making the boot process more friendly on BMM. Still very busy with 4-5 more devices bringing 4.2.1 up in beta form.
I m writing from cm 10.1 UMTS .
Signal and data work perfectly (but signal bars is not working)

No,this is my CR,i enable Data/App you can many apps uninstall, added % Battery, the other Rom is a Stockrom, and you can used for your own Custom Rom as Base.
I don't know,i am a Gsm user and Works with HSDPA very good
If this is GSM only please mark it as such.. Very frustrating when you get a rom downloaded, installed only to find it's not for your phone to begin with... Plus a rom as smooth as this one.. But oh well.. maybe someone can get it going on non-GSM ..

NOTE: stvn1337 now is the ROM Port Maintainer.
This is an port of Sky Note from our sister AT&T Note 2 variant. Most things are working on this with a few exceptions like SMS/MMS. This ROM is developed by seanzscreams and wouldn't have been possible to be working on our Note 2 without the hard work of runandhide05 along with several others. Keep in mind that while this runs pretty well there are naturally bugs so be forwarded. I'll try to keep this updated as more bugs are found but so far from my time running this it's pretty smooth with a few exceptions. Please consider this to be experimental and not a fully daily driver.

- Wifi does not work without applying the Wifi Fix that I have detailed below.
- Dial pad does not work while in calls.
- SMS/MMS does not work.
- Backing up this ROM with either Clockworkmod or TWRP works but restore does not.
- Restoring apps from Titanium Backup works on this from my testing without the need of TB Restore Fixer.
If there's anything else in terms of bugs etc I'll update this accordingly.

WIFI PATCH FIX
Here's how to get Wifi working. Do this after installing the ROM. Thanks to seanzscreams for the fix and stvn1337 for posting the info. What this fix does is adds the paramaters needed for Wifi to work on TouchWiz 4.3 based ROMs while still allowing us to flash to other ROMs outside of the TouchWiz 4.3 stuff. Be forwarded that these steps do need to be followed pretty much dot on especially when it comes to apply the patch. Deviating on that part might cause some major issues including bricking your device. I will not be held liable if that were to happen or will XDA. You've been pretty well warned. Don't worry this is a pretty easy patch to apply so don't worry too much about it. Smile, eat a Kit Kat, and just do what I tell you. In no time you'll have working Wifi on this ROM.

INSTRUCTONS
1 - Download Odin3 and the WiFi Fix files.
2 - Extract Odin3 and the WiFi Fix files. For the WiFi fix you just need to extract 4.3param_tz.zip so the 4.3param_tz.tar file is ready for us with Odin3.
3 - Download and install Samsung drivers if you don't have them already.
4 - Turn off Note 2. After turned off press Volume Down + Home Button + Power to boot into the bootloader.
5 - Plug Note 2 into PC with Odin3 running.
6 - Once your PC has detected and installed drivers your Note 2 should show up in Odin3.
7 - Load the Wifi fix file (should be named 4.3param_tz.tar) into the PDA option in Odin3.
8 - Hit the Start button. It'll only take seconds for the file to do its magic then your Note 2 will reboot into recovery.
9 - Reboot out of recovery.
10 - ????
11 - Wifi should work now!
12 - ????????
13 - PROFIT!

Well truth be told there isn't much left that Beans can really do with his JellyBeans ROM on our Note 2 as it's pretty polished as is. Not to mention he's been very busy working on bringing JellyBeans over to the Verizon Note 3 as well.
True.. ok AngryMan. Loaded skynote. On it now. First boot. No data but got a signal. Wifi mode toggles back to off auto. Airplane mode on then back off. 4g is up.. wifi keeps toggling back off.. question. . Which modem do you suggest?

Wifi won't toggle on at all which is why I noticed several times about it in the main post. As far as modem I'm using VRAMC3 myself.
Also can someone test SMS/MMS for me. I don't text so I didn't get a chance to test. From my understanding Hangouts which is included works fine for SMS but if someone can verify that would be great.
Sms fails even through hangouts..

Oh. In order for her phone to work I had to flash the MJ4 Modem. If you look in build notes on your rom. Youll see mj4..

Yeah the tough thing is that unless if someone knows how to port the modem and kernel over to our Note 2 we might be stuck with these bugs until we get some kind of 4.3 Touchwiz leak or official release.
Anyways I'm off to bed for the night. Dead tired here and I got a long day at work coming up.
Thanks AngryMan. Wifi is no biggie for now. Liquidsmooth rom may have some answers or a workaround..

Keep in mind that Liquidsmooth is AOSP based while Sky Note is TouchWiz based.
I take that back. My mms and sms is working. I got a terrible signal when testing it last night. Even in hangouts.. edit I can receive but not send

This is an port of Sky Note from our sister AT&T Note 2 variant. Most things are working on this outside of Wifi due to the lack of a proper kernel/bootloader for our Note 2 that supports Wifi.

- To get data to work you have to toggle airplane mode on then off after booting up.
- Wifi does not work due to lack of proper kernel/bootloader that supports Wifi.

does this mean you are stuck on this rom once flashing, or that you just have to flash a new rom rather than going back to a back up?

No it says if you do a backup with this ROM it won't restore but your other ones will.

I have managed to get wifi working quite easily
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502464
if your comfortable with odin grab only step 2 from the link i've posted above and odin in the PDA slot. This is not flashing the ATT bootloader , but only adding the 4.3 wifi paremeters to your current 4.1.2 bootloader allowing you to maintain wifi throughout flashing between 4.1.2 and 4.3 touchwiz.
I have tested this and it does work, but i am not responsible if you do something wrong and brick your phone!
PM me if you have any questions.

You can still restore a backup of another ROM or install a new ROM. It's just that any backups of this ROM won't restore properly.

[4.4.4] MIUI [4.9.5][AOSP Omni based]

First off I do not own an i605 myself but have the l900 (sprint) which is almost the same device. Hardware wise there is only a tiny difference which is in the partition setup. Sprint uses a different data partition mccblk0p17 where all other N2's use mccblk0p16 the other is our mccblk0p16 which contains special files used by sprint on their stock roms (just to make our lives more difficult). I have been working with @lacoursiere18 on a few of my projects for the l900 and we tried to port an earlier version of MIUI for our devices before he got busy with school. Since then I have successfully ported over MIUI to the l900 and i605. Brian has been nice enough to test build out and confirm it works great on the i605. So now I am releasing this for your flashing pleasure. I also took a little extra time and modified Plasma 2.55 to work with MIUI and gotten permission from @ffolks (a few months ago) to post the modified kernel for everyone to use.
Well everyone (l900 users and those who browse the l900 forums) already knows I hate doing OP's so they stay pretty simple and this wont will be any different. Also MIUI users know that there are weekly updates but since this is a port and I have so many projects going on. It might be a month or two between my releases.
This is ported from the N7100 which is based on Omni rom. Original rom is located here
http://en.miui.com/download-35.html
and is the one by mdiary. So far only issues I know of it call recorder does not work (just says being used by another app) and you have to go into settings..mobile networks..network mode and change to CDMA+LTE/EvDO to enable 4g after every boot. If you flash any gapps package you will lose gps. If you continue to read the OP I will give instructions on how to setup your MIUI rom to get the most out of it.
So I took the base and turned it into a full featured rom with a whole mess of add-ons and tweaks.
Included items/tweaks/mods
Adfree (although I already have a host list created)
dolphin browser
dolphin jetpack plugin
adobe flash 11.1 kk
es file manager
LG G3 Keyboard and a few themes
WSM (MIUI Xposed)
Mi-Tools module (like wanam or gravity box)
Paid themes module (all miui themes are free)
AOSP Dash Clock widget
AOSP Calender widget
Terminal emulator
A bunch of build.prop tweaks
A bunch of init.d scripts (to enable them continue reading the OP)
Bug list
MIUI-i605 4.9.5
Any Omni bugs
call recording does not work
If you flash any gapps besides mine you will lose gps
Change Log

Downloads
Flashing instructions
1. Backup internal sdcard to you PC or external sdcard (this will really help prevent issues
2. Boot into recovery and backup current rom
3. Do a factory reset (if using philz/cwm do clean for new rom)
4. Format/wipe internal sdcard (if you dont do this and have issues first thing I will say is format it)
5. Reboot back into recovery (this will create your internal sdcard dir structure)
6. Flash MIUI and boot it
7. After initial setup power off and boot into recovery
8. Flash Gapps (please do it in this order or you will end up wiping and reflashing)
9. Boot into rom
10. Go to post #3 and follow those steps
Do not flash any kernel besides the modified Plasma or your rom wont boot. If there is an AOSP kernel you want to use let me know and I will make it compatible.
Plasma 2.55 MIUI edition Synapse is included in this flashable zip

3. At top of the screen you will see < Manage click here and enable all three modules
4. Reboot phone and setup Mi-Tools to your liking and reboot for settings to be applied
5. Open settings... general settings tab... mobile networks... network mode... set to CDMA+LTE/EvDO (will have to do this every boot to have 4g(LTE)

7. Setup your google account and enjoy
Some things are in Chinese

Here is the free version:

..i set my location setting to device only; the first time i used it it took a few minutes to lock, but its been very quick every time since.
The yellow dotted indicator in the bottom bar of the app shows number (16) of gps satellites found:
