[Q] Phone won't connect to PC - FIXED - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, any idea what could be causing this?
When I try to connect my SGS3 to pc, I get this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But when I try to connect my fathers sgs3, I get this:
Could it be a motherboard problem? I took my phone to warranty and they said they found no problems on the USB port, and installed new firmware or something. (Also they changed my headphone jack because it was also faulty)
The phone charges fine using USB.
Thanks.
E: The phone still gets "Hardware id is missing" error but meh.

Fixed!
What I did:
1) Went to device manager and uninstalled all the USB controllers/drivers that had a error sign on them
2) Disabled windows automatic driver install (not sure if necessary)
3) Used another usb port, one behind my computer
4) Bam, it works.
I've been 3 months without able to use USB on my phone now, even took it to warranty.
Feels quite great man.

Phone Hangs when USB OTG Cable is attached, PLEASE HELP!

Guys,
I am really confused why my phone hangs when the USB OTG cable is attached...
Last things I have done before this occurred were; Rooting, CWM, and using the app External 2 Internal (swapping app from Google Store)...
Tried already the following (but failed to address the problem):
- Installed three different custom ROMs thru CWM
- Reverted back to "all" stock thru flash tool
- Used different/other USB OTG cable
Below is the screenshot of the specs of the phone:

My query, is this Android phone that supports OTG has a built-in driver to host any device attached to the USB OTG cable accessory?(as like to Windows computer that needs a driver to recognize or open ang USB device)... Because mine might be accidentally removed or corrupted...
I am very confused of what caused the OTG cable to hang/freeze the phone when attached... I am afraid this might be a hardware problem already but still very confused due to USB Mass storage and Recharging work perfectly...
Maybe anybody here can help me, please.......
Need help... =(
Hope some expert can help...

Redmi Note 4 MTK not working, and can't FLASH

Hello,
I bought a Redmi Note 4 MTK 4 months ago, already unlocked it and upgraded it a couple of times.
But 1 month ago, while it was in my hands, I recieved a message from a friend on messanger, and just after opening it, the screen went Green/Purple and then went off
Since then I can't power it ON, I'm not even sure it's OFF, when I plug it to charger the device gets hot, but nothing works, contacted the buyers on Aliesxpress, the said I can try to flash following some guides on youtube (can't post the links)
Well that's what I did, but here is the message I Get after I plug it:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also when I plug it to PC, it makes a sound as if I connected it, then another sound as it I disconnected it, in short the PC doesn't recongnize my device:
Here is what I see when I go to Devices, and this Icon keeps coming and going as if it was connected and disconnected as I said below.
I took it to a tech here (in Algeria) , he couldn't repair it because Xiaomi Phones aren't popular in here, but he said that it wasn't an LCD or Battery problem, he got the same error message as me while trying to flash it.
Anyone knows what's the problem with the flash tool? Please help me!

Ulefone U007 - Mobile Phone Dead!

Hello,
I need help to recover my phone.
I've flashed my Ulefone U007 several times to update to a newer version.
The last time, I've installed without errors, but with time, the applications started to show errors, others disappeared (Marketplace, calculator, calendar, ... for example). I flashed the phone again with SP Flashing Tool, but something went wrong and my phone is dead since. The SP Flashing Tool doesn't detect my phone any more and gives me an error

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
The phone doesn't show battery animation when I charge it, No light or vibration when I power on, I've tried "power"+"volume up" or "power"+"volume down", and nothing happen. Can't get to the recovery menu.
I'm using Windows 10. I think something inside the mobile is still alive, because when I connect the mobile in the USB of my computer shows a MediaTek USB Port (COM4) on the devices.
I'm guessing that the bootloader or disk partition is corrupt.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.

I think it would be a way to upload a modified kernel, that would allow this, but i have no experience with compiling kernels. Is there something already available for the Redmi 5 Plus?
Thank you!
I managed to get it working. This is how, maybe it will help somebody.
1. First you have to unlock your bootloader.
2. Then install a custom recovery, i went with OrangeFox
3. After that i installed LineageOS 18.
After the ROM instalation everything works perfectly. I now have OTG and the phone is charging at the same time.
I needed this old phone to run OctoPrint for my 3D printer, instead of buying a rasberry PI 4, which is expensive at the moment and lower spec than the Redmi 5 Plus. So this is a huge win, as i already had the phone and it was collecting dust. Until now.
