[Q] serious boot problem / unable to boot - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there!
First off, I hope I am posting in the right section.
I took the battery and micro SD out of my hd2 and then put them back in.
Now I can't start the phone anymore, it gets stuck on the following message:
The device is unable to boot because either you have turned of the device incorrectly or tried to install an application from untrusted source....
Thing is I can't just go for a hard reset for I sadly do have plenty of unsaved contacts and data in the phone memory :/
Any clue, anyone?

[Q] Can I connect my bricked gTab to my PC?

Hello all. Forgive my newness, but I was an iOS person who just recently started working with an Android tablet.
My Viewsonic gTablet was not running very fast on Android 2.2, so I decided to upgrade it to Honeycomb (or at least to Gingerbread). I downloaded CWM8 for the gTab, and followed all instructions. I powered it on, used my volume keys to select the CWM file, and left it to sit for the appropriate length of time. Unfortunately, the installation failed to go through. Soon after, I started having problems with apps crashing as soon as they were opened, and having to be forced closed. I decided to go back to factory specs, and started that process. When it restarted the tablet, it came up to the three-birds screen, and a message in the top left says Booting recovery kernel image. It then just stays there, and does nothing. It doesn't seem to matter whether I power up with the volume key pressed or not - either way I get the same message. Manipulating the volume keys doesn't seem to do anything. Once I left it like that for ten hours while I was at work, thinking maybe it was just slow, but there was no change.
Following instructions from AndroidZoom, I loaded a recovery file onto an external SD card, to see if would boot from there. No luck. Still stuck on the booting message, with no option to select anything from the external card. Now for the million dollar (or at least $200) question:
Is there a way to access the tablet's internal SD card from my PC even though the tablet won't boot? I figure if I can, I will delete the new recovery file, and load a replacement file from viewsonic which I was lucky enough to find on the web.

[Q] Any way to reboot frozen HTC Desire S without pulling battery?

Hey XDA,
After i updated my HTC Desire s's rom to BlindICE 7.0 from 6.0 (No factory reset) the phone kept coming up with the boot animation after i unlock my SD card. The boot animation would disappear though, but almost as if it had done a hot restart. I would then have to unlock the SD card again, and the same thing would happened. This happened a couple of times, and i disconnected it from my computer (I had the phone connected from earlier where i send the rom) and suddenly, the phone froze. Now i cant get in any contact with the phone. ADB earlier said the device was offline, but after i disconnected the phone from the PC, and connected it again, the device wont show up at all
So my question is, are there any way to restart the phone without pulling the battery? As i said earlier, ADB is not working. I could let all the power run out, but i would really love if there was a faster way, and not sure if it would be just as bad as if i pulled the battery.
I know i should post this in the Desire s's forums, but the Q&A section of the forum is not very active. If this is against any forum rules, you may delete this
EDIT: Fixed =)

[Q] Photon stuck in boot loop (not rooted)

Hello.
I have been reading around on the forums and havent been able to find a suitable fix for my phone.
First of all- Im not a huge fan of updating apps and such due to not having the best success with compatibility after the updates. Also I am NOT a developer or anything, have never rooted my phone or flashed ROMs because I never really understood it and didnt want to brick my phone. That being said im not a idiot when it comes to technology either. I know how to use linux a decent amount tho i dont because I own a mac and havnt had a "x86" computer for sometime
Back in December I was having problems with my phone so I took it to Sprint and got a replacement. I dont usually use my phone for internet while im at home (because I use my computer) and overlooked the setting that updates apps over wifi.
So fast forward a few months- I went to Europe for the first time this winter for a ski vacation and when i connected to wifi over there, my phone just started updating everything and started making my phone act wierd. It would freeze up for a while after boot after entering my password and it would take 15-30 minutes to unfreeze. I got used to it working like that. Besides i was only using my phone for basic internet stuff and taking pictures. I wasnt making any phone calls or anything. The day before i came home I tried to connect to a wifi network and in the network settings under wifi it said "error" and then immediately shut off and rebooted. That was the last time my phone was usable. From then on it is just stuck in a continuous boot loop. I have to remove the battery to stop it. When it tries to boot it goes through the animation process to the "now" part of the "welcome to the now network" animation during boot. I have messed around with the safe mode and other boot options in the boot menu but nothing seems to work.
I DONT WANT to hard reset my phone yet because ALL MY PICs are on the Internal memory of the phone from my trip. I know now that this was a stupid idea to have them on the internal memory. My SD card was getting full and had like 7 gigs internally so i saved all my pic there. My phone was also encrypted with the pattern password (yes i enabled it).
Is there any way to get my pictures off the phone? I dont know what build version, kernel etc... or any of the other technical information is.... Please help!!!! thank you :crying:

Hello ,
I have Installed Custom ROM in my Photon 4g MB855 Here is What I installed using( *How to install Jelly beans 4.1.2 Custom on Motorola Photon 4g )
and After installation I stuck at Motorola M logo .
So I could not even go Back Because whenever I try to install any stock or SBF file in RSD I get this error ..
*Failed To Re Enimerate*
And I also tried to Erase my Recovery and Install A custom TWRP like another Recovery manager but i get this error in FastBoot.
Erasing Recovery FAILED <Remote 00180001>
Writing Recovery FAILED <Remote 00180002>
I've read somewhere that its because your device is not unlocked and I also tried to install Pudding Unlock via RSD but failed to re-enumerate ..
RSD show my device as *SE FLASH SUNFIRE* ..
NOTE: I had made a BACKUP before flashing the Custom Rom and Now When I go to Recovery and Restore I cant see the BackUp .. But When I attach that SD card and There is BackUp .. That BackUp (2.3.5) Consists ..It Consists Following FIles..

[Q] Bricked g2x...coming to verify I'm out of options..

Hey guys, this evening I've been trying to wipe an old T-mobile g2x and get it set up so my parents can use it as a remote in their living room for chromecast and whatnot.
I was doing a factory reset and clearing cache/formatting sd cards in Recovery mode because cyanogenmod wouldn't connect to the wi-fi network to let me login to my accounts (using it without a sim card). As soon as I did the formatting (I only wiped the sd-card contents, I have no clue how this happened)....all of these problems started and I've made zero progress whatsoever ever since.
But it's bricked....really hard. The symptoms as of now:
Persistant boot loop. The only thing that has shown up on the screen since it happened is the LG logo, and a charging battery if it's plugged in & not 'booted on' (which is when the LG logo pops up)
Recovery mode is completely gone. Button combinations do not work at all.
USB won't connect. When plugged into my computer, it only registers as "Unknown device" and no matter what drivers I install nothing changes this. This prevents me from using any sort of utilities that need a pc connection, as far as I've been able to figure.
I tried to find a way to get android to boot 100% from the micro sd-card since it's the only way I can actually get data into my phone it seems, but all the suggestions I've seen still require recovery mode to access. I have no idea what to do anymore. Does it seem like I'm pretty screwed? Should I donate my new brick to house builders?
Thank you so much guys, long time reader first time poster These forums have saved my butt so many times! Cheers :good:
