LG P509: Removal of T-Mobile start up splash and sound

I have a new rooted and unlocked LG P509 from T-Mobile USA and just updated to the latest firmware. Noticed that once the update was complete, the phone now has sound on that annoying T-Mobile splash/start up screen.
Is there a way to remove the files so that the phone boots right into the LG and then ANDROID screen?
Thanks in advance!

Nice....
I can't flash it due to the KDZ program crashing on me repeatedly. Could it be because of Windows 7? I'm doing everything right, but it crashed the second I press the button to flash the phone.

Forced Update?

My tab was forced into a "update" from sammie after installing turbotax (free today from the market). Anyone else have that happen? Update is version P7510UEKMP

XDA is for folks who use custom ROMs, so we don't get the OTA updates.

Disable Software Update

Hi All,
Does anybody know if it is possible to disable the the software update feature on the S3 GT-I9300? My phone has just downloaded the new update 26/07/12 and l have managed to find the option to delay the update but not stop the update. l have read that the local search has been removed accidently or on purpose and there is still a chance they will not add it back in on later updates, and l do not want to root my phone just yet to do the work around.

I am also looking to disable the update and I AM rooted.
How can this be done please?
EDIT: I 'froze' the Software Update app so hopefully that will do it.

Software Update is the one you need to freeze....I also froze I another one, but after checking it in TB it is called 'sysscope' pretty sure it was called OTAupdate or something similar!

Maps reverted?

Hi, I've recently flashed stock firmware onto my GS3, and Google maps has reverted to an older version, I've been waiting for an update prompt in the play store but nothing has happened. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but it still reverts to the older version.
Is there a way to force the app to update?
Thanks.

Since I can't post links, you can just search google for: Android Police Google maps.
I believe it is the first link.

Hi, thanks for that, will that update in the play store when a future update is released?
It could be that if you are running an older version of Android, i.e. GB or ICS, that the latest version is not compatible.

System update while rooted and xposed installed

I have a Sony Xperia m5 and I am new to rooting and all
But my question is what happens if I update my phone with an Xperia system update while it is rooted and has xposed installed on android os 5.1
Is it the same as an android os update or different and what will happen?
It will fail.

You are gonna have to go back to completely stock. You have to understand that if you mod your device you wither give up updates or get used to going back to complete stock then update.

I'll just block the updates
That is always an option but makes you vulnerable to any exploits that the monthly security patches fix.
