Q: What is the largest capacity but standard size battery? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Do all extended batteries have a physical larger size to them? Are any of them a larger capacity but the same size as stock? I realize there is no chance of a 3000+ mah battery, but was wondering if there are any around with a couple of hundred mah larger than stock.

You could get a cheap Chinese one that SAYS it has a higher capacity, but in reality it's not gonna be much of a difference. You're better off buying the large extended if battery life is that important to you.

Thanks. I see what you mean. Guess I'll have to shop around for some batteries and covers that look good. Some of them make the phone HUGE!

I bought the Anker 2200mAh battery. It was 15 euros on Amazon for 2 batteries and a charger. It's only a bit bigger (in capacity) than the original but it came best out of this test: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1843896 . (Note that now it needs to be retested and it also doesn't have NFC).
If you don't want a battery that enlarges the phone a lot, then I advice you to wait a bit till the 3000mAh Samsung battery comes out. It will use a different back cover but it looks better than those ginormous batteries.

Spare Battery And Charger

As I've mentioned in a thread in Q&A, I seem to have an issue with battery life. What do you guys think of this -
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Charger-2...gers?hash=item3ef77721bb&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
Or this one, at £8.99 inc p+p - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UK-Mains-Desk...in_3?hash=item3ef7773832&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
The only problem I see is the battery is even lower (1250) than the standard one (1350). For a tenner, is it worth getting it though, just to have a spare?
As yet, I don't see any higher spec batteries anyway
I myself am waiting for an extended battery, one that wont require a different back cover though.
Are you sure you want to get something which is 100 mAH lower then the factory one? I doubt it would help the cause.
And is that website saying that the battery for the Magic is compatible with the Hero and vice versa?

Today I received my anker slim talk 3200. I found myself frequently running to my car to charge during the middle of an outing. I found it unacceptable considering Motorola decided to seal the battery. if you have been on the fence about buying one of these, jump on it. It's 2199 on amazon, about the size of the original Motorola flip RAZR, and puts out .6 amps and has a flashlight! Seems to be well built too.

Extra 10% Off on #GivingTuesday Code: " HAPPYCM10 "
I received today the second charger I ordered for my brother.
Someone bought?
I'm sorry but at that size 20000mah is a stretch. Especially for one sold on one of those sale a day websites.
I will for sure look for this one. I think its far better then to change your batteries all the time if you are going for travel.
Any reviews?

Back case with integrated power bank for the alpha

I've stumbled upon those nifty little accessories, it works both as a back cover/case, and a power bank (2600mah) you can use to charge up your phone while away from charger.
I'm pretty sure i'm not the only one finding Samsung got *cheap* with the Alpha's battery (comon, the battery could have been twice the size by just being larger and/or adding 2/3mm to the Alpha, wich would have only made it better imho).
I hope it can make some people happy (i had no idea those things existed before, i'm looking up to see if i can get it for some other phones of my familly they found "lacking" on the battery side ).

Mugen battery pack
[SOLD]
Hi everyone,
I bought a Mugen Power Extended Life Battery 3600mAh on eBay recently, but unfortunately my Alpha has been stolen before I use it :/
So I have this item and I can't use it. Does anyone would be interested buying it ? I just never used it and it's brand new, sold with bill and warranty, for 50USD (instead of 90USD).
The battery comes with two back doors and the quality of these is really good. Personally, that was the battery I searched for a long time since Samsung stopped the production of its original Extended Battery Pack.

Is this a good replacement battery for i9100?

Just rooted my i9100 and 10 mins after first boot into new rom i found out that my orginal i9100 battery dies. Even if it`s charged to 100%.
Anyway, got a hold of a similar battery from my brother, think its from a galaxy S* active of some sort. Now im wondering if it can function as a replacement.
I have tested it and phone seem to work like normal.
So; is there anything i should be aware of? Phone reads it like it`s a 1650 mA, even if its a 1500mA..

Hi,
If it works, then I don't see why it can't be used as a replacement. Only the capacities are different, which will have no affect on how much power is being delivered. If you want to be on the safe side, get a proper replacement battery from anker. Most batteries advertised as genuine online are usually fakes, whereas anker aftermarket batteries are a quite reliable.

Thanks for fast reply!
Forgot to mention that the original battery have 4 pins whereas the new one only have 3. Not sure what the fourth pin is for, but phone boots and works
