Thank man!!

On any modern device, there is no advantage to being Odexed outside of a slightly faster initial boot time, and a little saved storage space. It will give you no added performance benefit after the first boot.

Anyone using this ROM? I'm amazed there are so few comments?
I'll give it a try and report back. Looks pretty cool. De bloated, CM themed.

Let me know how it goes. I haven't unlocked/rooted yet, but when I do I'll probably flash this ROM. I'm interested in your feedback regarding tethering, gps lock, and bluetooth. Best of luck.

Okay this ROM seems to work pretty dang good!
If you are looking for a really De-Bloated ROM you can't beat this. Also the ASOP theme is nice.
Hotspot works out of the box. GPS locks right on.
One major problem for me is there is no email app in the ROM.
Good job OP. I like it!

Thanks, I appreciate it! Sorry about the email app removal; I only use gmail accounts and I like taking out anything possible without losing functionality. Happy holidays guys

This was the first ROM I flashed to my note II. It worked very well. It was missing some key features like Mail and Google talk. I ended up going back to my stock backup.
I just lost patience with pulling the apps from titanium backup application. I may come back to this ROM after I have played with some of the others.

Thank you, OP for this ROM. I really like it, a lot. Coming from Gnex and AOSP ROMs, for a long time (since eclair). Great job. Just what I was looking for.

Shelooga, everything's working fine. Have android notifications, but not ringtones. Downloaded ringtones from another xda thread but get an error message when trying to add any of them. Any ideas appreciated.
Edit: works fine after reboot.

Is there a mirror? I don't wanna sign up for 4shared

[ROM]mycy-6.0.0v3

I wasn't going to release this since I don't consider it a real rom, but since there aren't really many roms in here to play with, I figured I'd share.
What it is.
Essentially a themed version of Eugene373's CyangogenMod froyo rom with a few minor changes.
Special thanks to Eugene for getting this working for us and of course cyanogen and the rest of teamdouche or anybody else who helped somewhere along the line.
my changes:
mytheme - just the theme I've been using since the early g1 days.
pngcrushed most apks
added ability to blacklist numbers from call log
updated hosts file (adfree)
updated su/superuser to 2.2.2
maybe something else
I can't guarantee updates or support
Flash at your own risk
want to donate? Find someone else to give it to (preferably someone who deserves it).
your gonna want to go into your cyanogenmod settings and change the colors.

Try to delete something,it disappears from root explorer but the file is still there.
really liking the theme on this rom! working great only thing i would request as with any Froyo rom is apps2ext instead of the froyo apps2FAT32 but hey this thing works and works fast!

of course... you can't mount system folder EXCEPT in recovery mode. So terminal emu, root explorer, or whatever app won't help you at all. that's the way it is with all roms on the MTS. I doubt it will ever be different, unfortunately. So, you'll aways be tied to your computer unlike the G1/MT3G.
Not sure if hard spl or anthing else will help, may be someone with more knowledge can explain.
btw, great rom! I like the theme additions. Froyo is getting more stable each week and it's thanks to devs like yourself. Every port helps! Keep it up, man!

no its not functional and when i used it on my g1 i didnt like it! if you ever reboot dont touch your phone until its done checking the sdcard otherwise all of the shortcuts you had that were apps2fat32 would be the stupid icon that says its not on your phone! it annoyed me thats why i love apps2ext
but i will admit that i had a bunch of apps installed without the low memory warning and also i was getting 7.9-8.0 MFLOPS using linpack! so the rom is fast fast fast!
I actually ended up having to remove this rom. Even though it failed on me, still one of my favorite roms thus far. I nandroided back to mr1v4. Apps2fat32 was working great for 2 days. Last night plugged in to charge, all was well. This morning, my apps2fat32 had stopped working, all apps were on the phone memmory (which was so full that doing anything caused a force close) i wasnt able to correct the problem nor uninstall anything. Fresh restart resulted in force close loop. If there ends up being a new version i will definatly try again.

Thank you kindly, for the response. Headway must have been made on this rom, though, because all of the others that I tried, apps definitely only installed on the internal memory. Ya gotta love the ext partition setup versus the fat32 route, anyways! Why change up after all of the success of all the other roms? And what is the deal with silent mode not being available on all the froyo roms I've used? Lol. That's kinda a big thing, I'd suppose. Either way, the devs are kicking ass on what's available.
I really like this rom, thanks

I think all freely available apps should be left out. They can all be installed afterwords... Even swype to be honest.
Downloading atm i'll letcha know anything i can think of though...
I think if you have the ability to you should try and port over Amon-RAs recovery from the hero g1... It has a Console in the recovery kernel...
I'm going to try and figure that out but it'll be a long time before I get anywhere. Haha.
that's not really related to THIS rom persay but I think would be awesome cause then we can manipulate /system/app while in recovery rather than requiring adb...
The rom itself... i'll get to you after i play with it :x
Wifi tethering included doesn'twork I had to replace it with this one to get it going...
Any idead if we can get some froyo apps working on this? I would like to have the froyo gmail and google talk app on it.
Using it and liking it very much, excellent job. I don't, suppose it has live wallpapers?
any luck on wire(less) tethering?

I second that! Id much rather use amonRA if it were possible just cus its setup correctly for the way our a2sd works. It still uses /system/sd/, where clockwork is setup to use /sd-ext/. Ill gladly help test it out!

Well there is a lot of bloatware.
Peeps, stocks, mymodes, friend stream, so many more I can't remember.
I've also noticed some of my videos in my gallery don't show a preview. It is a white image and it looks like it may be currupt but it still plays.
I did downgrade from a froyo rom so that may be a problem. I did everything I normally do to install a rom...

Ill make another version with EVERYTHING unnecessary removed.

[Q] Stock ICS MMS.apk?

I've flashed around a bit with different roms and as much as I enjoy touchwiz, I love the stock mms app that comes in AOKP/ vanilla android ICS and was just wondering if anyone had made any type of universal port for touchwiz roms that work just as smoothly? Saw a couple on the play store but they were total rubbish and full of bugs. gonna stay on AOKP in the meantime. Just curious if anyone else shared the thought

Thank you phalanx, I hadn't realized serendipity incorporated aosp apps into touchwiz. That does further spark my curiosity as to if It's possible to pull the AOSP mms app as a stand alone apk that I could keep and install no matter what ROM I switch to since serendipity makes it seem possible if I just disable the stock mms app.

Simple way would be to change your pngs in your drawable-hdpi folder and change some xmls as well, not really all that difficult once you get started
Edit: sorry, completely forgot that Samsung's has text bubbles, so it would get a little trickier, I'll look into it
Edit: So, I've been real busy with school and stuff, so I haven't been able to look at the apk. Also, I don't have a Samsung Mms.apk since I like the AOSP feel of ICS better and have been on AOKP since it came out. So in trying to find a Samsung Mms.apk in our dev threads, I found that Serendipity 9 has an AOSP Mms.apk in it and is TW-based. It also has a lot of other AOSP apks in it, and it looks nice and runs pretty well. (flashed it to see everything first-hand). That might be an answer

Getting JB Style, Keeping TW Features - Hyperdrive & Nova

I'm assuming I'm not alone here, as I have seen many people across the forums saying that they have either already gone to, or are thinking of flashing an AOSP ROM, and are worried about losing all of those Samsung Goodies (Like hover, air gestures, eye control, TW Camera, etc.) They generally also seem to want the customizability of a custom rom, as well. So, let's discuss how people have gone about getting that JB feel on a TW ROM.
The way I currently have this set up is with the Hyperdrive 5.7 ROM as a base. With just that, you get a smoother, faster, and enormously feature-packed TW ROM. The customization you can accomplish with this ROM is very impressive, especially considering it is TouchWiz. On top of this, I'm running - yep, you guessed it - Nova Launcher.
Nova Launcher is, in my opinion, the obvious choice for getting stock JB feel on any device. Nova allows the important customizations made to Hyperdrive to continue working, while adding the JB feel right on top. I've also run the script from within Hyperdrive to enable the Nexus 4 Softkeys, and I've shut off the lights on the capacitive keys on the device itself. This makes them completely invisible, so the device looks much more like a Nexus device, if you like that sort of thing.
What do you guys think? What other options are out there? I'm looking to give some insight to users who may want to get this type of feel on their S4, while also getting some feedback or better/different ways of achieving this. Good luck, and happy theming!
looks good just get rid of the nav bar

What does the dialer look like? Still the ugly white?
What about incoming call screen?
Just changing the launcher doesn't make it AOSP themed.

You and I have our wires crossed. I was responding to the OP, which references a combo of hyperdrive rom and nova launcher.
I wasn't referring to the Eclipse ROM, which I see has AOSP dialer instead of TW dialer.

Yeah. So the dialer and incoming calls are both part of the TW base. Nova launcher is just that; a home/launcher replacement. Just as you said. Though I am sure there are theming options for these things through third party methods, since many people dislike TW appearances.
I am just trying to get more of an AOSP look/feel, doesn't need to be completely coated in JB.

I fully understood the point of the thread which is why I suggested Eclipse ROM. It's Touchwiz based and includes all the Touchwiz gimmicks as well as the TW camera. It's most certainly NOT an AOSP ROM as you seem to think it is. It's just a very well themed Touchwiz ROM.

You know, its really easy to post a reply without being passive-aggressive about it. I made a mistake and was unaware that Eclipse was Touchwiz, I was misinformed. Now that I have been home and had a chance to look at it, it looks like a really great option! Thanks for posting it here.

You and I have our wires crossed. I was responding to the OP, which references a combo of hyperdrive rom and nova launcher.
I wasn't referring to the Eclipse ROM, which I see has AOSP dialer instead of TW dialer.

Obviously he wouldn't have known since you quoted him.

The main portion of it is DashClock. I like the accuweather service more than Yahoo though, so I used overlapping widgets in Nova Launcher. The weather widget on top of Dashclock is a 1x1 weather from Beautiful Widgets.

this isnt really a [MOD] or a [GUIDE] this is more or less someones review of a ROM and a couple quick customizations in an app that's well known.... very misleading post

Where/how do you run the script to make the Nexus soft buttons appear?

I am no longer running this ROM, but it is an included script with Hyperdrive. If you go to sbreen's included script installer, it was somewhere in a media folder and you just run it from there. He posted the instructions on the first page of the Hyperdrive thread somewhere.

Help finding suitable Rom

I'm looking for a Rom that has a stock android look and feel, like the stock status bar and stock look for settings, while still maintaining a great camera and gallery app, preferably the touchwiz ones. The air gestures are nice to but not absolutely necessary. A stock android like lock screen is also a must.
Any help is appreciated

The Wicked Rom is pretty neat. Cear of bloatware.. Its TouchWiz. This is the fist Rom I tried and have not switched sinxe I flashed it. I have been very happy with it.

When you say Stock Android look and feel do you mean AOSP?
Hyperdrive has a lot of options for pretty much every apsect of the rom
Eclipse S4 TW Edition is basically a TW rom with the look and feel of AOSP. Those are the two best in my opinion. If you're really trying to get down to nearly pure AOSP programs and stuff you can check out Andybone's Barebones Rom too. It just depends on how AOSP like you wanna go.

My ROM doesn't have anything AOSP
An AOSP theme is coming thanks to nito for giving me the permission to use his work.
Tried your Rom, was great but I didn't like how the Rom settings say there is an aosp lock screen but nothing happens when I toggle it. Also you need to add a default music player, be it Samsung's or play music. Also hated how it doesn't restore all apps, had to manually do that.

Lol. Wasn't necessarily talking about theming but more about the removal of more things that some people consider bloatware (all the extra Samsung cool guy features) but after relooking I think I was thinking of someone else's ROM. Yours is one of the first ME7 based roms. My bad Andy.

If you are talking about my ROM..
Google auto restores your apps,...
Not ROM related.
also there is NOTHING wrong with the AOSP lock screen,
and Samsung Music is found in Aroma, choose hub..
I suggest doing a FULL CLEAN install, and NOT installing anything outside my thread.
I can only assume you flashed an android.policy.jar and that broke the AOSP lock screen. User Error.
Also I don't include ANY app you can download from the play store.. why would I?
waste of space.
Everything you hate about my ROM can all be solved by fixing your user errors, and a little research.

VERY true lol. But again I wasn't sure how close to "stock android look and feel" the OP wanted to go.
Thread closed...
These type posts are not allowed as they turn into arguments over which rom is best, and best rom threads get summarily closed as users are expected to read, study and make their own determinations as to what they want on a rom.
XDA is not a support site, it is here for developers and for those interested in the plight.
