How to help force closes - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Settings-developer-options-advanced-background process limit. Set this to none or up to 4. The lower, the more free ram you will maintain. This does not survive a reboot. So you must do it again each time you reboot your phone.
This makes your phone extremely fast. You'll notice soon as you own the app drawer. Lightning fast.

You can't multi task If your app force closes though. You have to be able to use it first.

Does this phone multi task? That's been a problem since it fell out of the box. And with jb it got worse

By the way I'm pretty sure flex has the fcs fixed in his Rom. Nice job flex

Does anybody use this app? If so, has anyone noticed a bad lag when using it to download videos, especially when dragging down the status bar?
Been using it for a while now. Haven't noticed any lag but I usually don't pay too much attention. Gonna D/L something now.

Cool, let me know.
The only thing that really lags is when I try to pull down the notification bar when it's downloading. Scrolling through the home screens seems fine.

Well I just download about 10 different videos over 3G, 4G & Wifi. Didn't see any lag when pulling down the notification bar or the phone in general. Maybe you need to do a restart maybe? Sorry I couldn't re-create the problem you are having.

I've used it for years. No problems here

Still having the problem even after rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling. Is there any advantage JetVD has over TubeMate?
So uninstalled JetVD, installed TubeMate and downloaded a Youtube file without any lag. I like JetVD's interface a lot better but I can't deal with the notification bar freezing up so I guess I'll keep TubeMate unless there's a better option.
I've been using FreeDi Youtube Downloader since I got my OG Evo 4G and I've loved it. Now continue to use it flawlessly on the Evo 3D.

Full Reboot App

Is there any app that can actually power down the MoPho and restart it? I am NOT talking about the fast reboot apps that don't actually power down the phone.
Preset Reset worked perfectly for my retired Palm Pre. There are certain things I definitely miss about that phone. (sniff... sniff...)

You are referring to this one, right? There are so many reboot type apps in the Market.
Do any of these "real" reboot apps allow you to schedule reboots? For example, I'd like to reboot my phone at 3 am every day to hopefully reduce the number of random reboots I receive.
This is it..but i don't know of any apps that do scheduled reboots...

Exactly!
Try Tasker for scheduled reboots

Sense Slowdown

I've had my HTC EVO LTE for two weeks now. About there our for days ago, I started to notice that sometimes sense is slow when returning to my home screen.
It doesn't happen all the time. But sometimes, when I touch the home button, I get my wall paper with a "wait" circle. It takes about 15 out 20 seconds for the screen to become active.
I'm assuming it had to do with some app out apps I've installed, but who knows?
How do I troubleshoot this?

It's likely a app this happened to me when i had chainfire installed.

Must be an app, but inclase clear the data for the launcher and see what happens

Good idea. Going to try that today.

It's in all apps . HTC Sense
still rocking my zues bolt
It happens to me too. It's a sense thing I think. Low ram or something. I'm not too happy with my evo, considering returning it and waiting for the sgs3.

Maybe try wiping app caches as well.

Try removing some Widgets and see if it still happens. Or try a different launcher. I use nova. I don't care much for sense. No reloads on other launchers and they're more customizable.

Yeah, on my og EVO I used go launcher for the past 6 or 8 months, but I like sense. I'd like to keep it if possible.
I don't have many widgets.
Is there any log of when apps were installed? That would be helpful in trying to determine if a specific app caused this.

Kinda laggy?

Anyone notice it doing stuff like reading YouTube comments or xda app specifically scrolling .the stock browser is pretty much lag free but other stuff I dunno I'm thinking the screen size is the cause of this don't really recall it bein this bad on my HTC one s

Yea I have this issue sometimes with the XDA app, facebook n some others. Doesnt happen all the time, only once in a while. Kind of annoying.
Im also getting a slight stutter/lag scrolling.
Yes but I've mostly noticed it in xda.

very laggy
Stock as-is ROM is very laggy. Until I got rid of all bloat, phone was running like first Galaxy.
Use some custom ROMs which will make your phone snappier. I removed around 100 apps.
tapatalk and the xda app lag alot and even crash on me.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
the fix for laggy xda is.
Exit app, hold home, open task manager, kill all.
Then use "app cache cleaner"
All better
