LTE issues - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

I can't get 4G..no matter what I do (updating baseband,PRL, Profile, switching from sense to cm10 and back again..).I live in Lancaster,CA where the LTE is turned on, and it is working for my other phones. Anyone have a suggestion?

Yea haha I live right by the tower and for some reason its not working. Do you have to have some special settings marked on cm10 or something??

Yes, I even checked the *#*#4636#*#* menu and it was checked as well. Baseband is 1.12.11.1119, H-boot 1.12.1111 S-OFF

Probably, but as you probably already know the LTE signal is weak anyway haha also my other phone has it working perfectly fine, which is odd. Don't know why its not working.

Yea even so, sounds like a possible hardware issue if they're the same. I'd bring them in to sprint to show the difference in network capabilities

Why did HTC or Verizon remove the hidden test menu

Or did they just hide it better?

A second time: just use LTE On/Off. It does the same thing.
As far as I know they didn't remove the menu, the just removed the shortcut through the dialer.
It's still there its *#*#3646#*#* just used it for a bootloop
just download an app "LTE OnOFF - Htc Thunderbolt" it works xD

my guess is that verizon has yet to get the whole kink work out on the gsm roaming charge. they said they will have it on a few of their phones and I think once they got it all worked out they may unlock them and start charging customers. Stupid carriers.

You can switch between CDMA, LTE, CDMA/LTE, and various GSM bands. For most people (like me!), its not super important...but don't take away my options!

I've got the same message on my EVO. My battery was low as well, so I get the low battery, but it's only a firmware update. I doubt it's Jelly Bean. I've plugged my phone in and will wait to see what it is. I'm rooted with same version stock..
Did you guys do the contact app update from a few weeks ago? Maybe its that, I don't know.
I got some update that I did not approve this morning. I just had the message that my phone had been updated successfully. I'm running meanrom 4.8. After quickly looking around, I could not see anything different with the software.
I'm curious what this is too.

A few days ago, my phone acted like I was trying to update profile or prl(went to a black screen with a dialog that said something about an update, I was tired) and said something like "no firmware update found". I just updated my radio firmware recently, before that update, I wonder if Sprint is forcing the phone to search for a firmware update? But in my case, I already did it manually.

I would gladly port it! Just tell me how!

Does anyone have LTE on AOSP/CM/AOKP?

I am on the latest radio and firmware from the 3.15 RUU, and tried every 'stock' android ROM that I could find and none of them have working LTE. Am I doing something wrong, and if anyone has a stock android ROM with working LTE please let me know the name of it.

Thanks, it is a really nice ROM too boot. And 4.1.0.0 fixed the mic issue I believe, I can make calls fine.
Works fine on Tranquility. I use it every day.

CM 10.1 not letting me make calls...

Switched from NV to RUIM/SIM in the Mobile Network Settings menu. Also toggled Network Mode from LTE to CDMA.
I have data because I can get online and browse without being connected to Wifi but I can't make calls.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

What would happen if I just took it to Sprint with CM installed and tried to get them to activate it?
Probably just switching it back and flashing a sense Rom will do it. Update profile after flashing.

Just because it is based on sense doesn't mean that it has everything working. Try going back to stock rooted rom, no mods nothing. Then press ##786# I'm willing to bet you mdn or min is wrong probably got messed up in a flash somewhere. I've had it happen before call them from another phone and tell them your situation and they will have you enter a dialer code and reenter your mdn min

OrDroid 8.2.1. It is 4.2 bsaed. Yea, it displays same as yours when I boot into Bootloader . Sucks really. I got a Nokia Lumia 925 for free through work today! Woo, except for it is barely better with LTE than HTC One is. I am comparing both of them to Nexus 4 and S4 on LTE, both are so much better at handling it. Like I never lose it at my place, nor when I am at my gym, or anywhere else. On Lumia it does have higher signal strength than HTC One, but it still loses signal in same areas sadly. I was hoping this Radio update would have addressed it, maybe there is something else in the firmware file..?

Although I will say mine is holding LTE better now.
Maybe another part of the TMO update was just to make bars seem better?
I definitely have to say that I've never noticed such sizable improvement on a radio update on any other phone [that I've owned] than this one we just got. T-Mo and anyone else involved did a great job. I'm picking up 3 bars LTE in my home were before I would get sporadic and faded LTE service.
