[Q] Is there a way to root Sony Xperia U latest android (6.1.1.B.1.54) - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Well i have tried flasttool, Binary's solutin and neither of them have worked. Have anybody even rooted 6.1.1.B.1.54 or the only solution is to roll back?

Yes, first flash with flashtool B10 Kernel, then root with Binary's method, then flash B54 kernel, and you're done
Remember, only flash the kernels with flashtool, so u wont lose any data, nothing else
Regards

Thanks mate, it worked.

How did you get it to work? Wasn't the screen unreadable?

I flashed .587 and then KRsH Kernel v3.0 ICS, this kernel roots your phone on first boot
After booting i shut down phone and flashed .587 again but only kernel, excluded everything else and do not wipe data, cache, App cache
that worked fine for me on St15i
You need unlocked bl for that tho...
Are you in unlocking bootloader?
Check this out and feedback

Friend i have two issue with this kernel.
1). After i flash it it display "Unfortunately, keypad has stopped" and "Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped" errors.
2). I can't see Superuser app in the app drawer.
Can you help me to fix this things.
Edited:- I flashed the superuser app via recovery, now it fix, but i have that errors.
Thanks!
@gregbradley: is that kernel from Neo V, based on .431? If yes, in .431 neo and neo v had different kernels, and when neo used neo v kernel user got problems as above. Not sure if it's same on .587
@android addicts: if you wanna keep her phone stock as possible, my advice is to have stock .587, then hotboot kernel which have CWM, and flash superuser.zip, on the next boot phone will boot with stock kernel and you will have superuser.
How to hotboot and what to hotboot check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690

Not sure what that is, its not a kernel update as far as I am aware...
Anyway, what is it that you are trying to do with the phone? Are you installing a new ROM or are you just getting root access

No. Don't do that.. You will end up with problems.
Don't do OTA updates on phones with unlocked bootlaoder, specially not if you used official method.
That update is because you have .587 fw and .431 kernel, that's why you got notification about update. Let me guess, it's ~14mb?
If you just wanna root, and keep stock kernel, try following my instructions.

If I may ask, since I see you didn't end up wit boot problems, did you unlock bootloader with unofficial way, with s1tool?
p.s. you have another option, since you have root access, install titanium backup, and uninstall update center app
but still, my advise is flash stock .587, hotboot kernel with CWM, install superuser.zip and that's it, you are on stock with superuser access.

Didn't you read my reply above friend ?
Check it, that's the only procedure on locked bootloader
You know how to flash only kernels outta a firmware ?
If not then check the screenshot attached. Mark the same in flashtool
You can get the 6.1.1.B.1.10 firmware from here talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239
And .54 you already have

Just flash the kernel, I uploaded an attachment in my reply above that tells you how to flash kernel only.
So fash .10 kernel
root using bin4ry
flash .54 kernel
easy

If you was on jb and you flash a kernel for ics it won't boot.

If you want to downgrade to ics, just flash the ftf file.
