Volume Key flex cable repair - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was disassembling my I9100 in order to change the USB port and I've managed to break the flex cable for the lock key and volume key(s). I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction on how to go around repairing it?

[Q] replacing the power button and micro usb port

so i managed to mess up the flex cable connected to the power button AND ruin my micro USB port ( i accidentally broke the far left pin, and while trying to replace it drenched the rest in solder) ((internal pins, not external)) does anybody know how i could replace these or fix them without breaking the bank (teenager with no job >.>)
*in case anyone was wondering, i broke them doing this : http://youtu.be/0ga4N_Ih9GE
EDIT: i have an old blackberry with a microusb port somewhere if that could be useful somehow?
edit2: started to wick some of the solder off of the pins with my iron, i dont actually have a wick. unfortunately i have class in the morning and some papers to write so i wont be able to do much. looks like im going back to my old motorola cliq until i can figure this out. anyone have any advice for soldering extremely small connections so maybe i can redo the pins? i have an idea for the power button.

[Q] How to replace volume ribbon flex.

I would like to know how to replace the volume ribbon flex cable in my tablet.
I have opened it up before to replace my battery.
Now both volumes are broken.
I bought one in ebay, but the flex cable doesn't match.
Before I realized the flex cable wasn't the one i need, I tried to get the volume ribbon flex cable off my tablet, but it was too hard and I want to know how to take it out.
Does anyone know how to fix it?
Without it, I can't really do recoveries because I have CWM and it needs the rockers to move up and down.

LG Optimus G Power Button Help

So when I was replacing the screen and the frame on my phone I realized the power button had a flex cable, one gentle movement and now it broke. I was able to order a new one but it's been 3 weeks since I had the phone taken apart and I don't remember how the flex cable attaches to the frame so that the button can actually touch it? If somebody could pop off their case and take a picture and/or undo their power button and describe how it goes back together that would be great!

In my experience, the power flex cable is soldered to the motherboard usually. You may have either buy a soldering iron and do the most precise work you've ever done in your life or contact a phone store. Sorry if this wasn't helpful.

Ways to on the phone with charging (HELP DEAD POWER BUTTON)

so my phone power button is sucks right now, and is very hard to press, i wonder if there is a way when my phone is dead, and by charging it will allow it to be turn on like an iphone! this helps alot, i dont care if i have to change anything as i am ready to take the risk if its possible!
The power button is easy to change and is very cheap. It's basically a flex cable and you cannot fix it. The copper switch is so thin that once you open it will break.
Here is a link where you can buy replacement flex
And you can find how to guide on youtube.
There was a trick to power on redmi note 2 with broken power button, maybe it works on RMN3 as well, but be careful with this method, you will have to reinsert the flex cable fast.

I see, is there anyway that I can just charge my phone to turn it on?

volume down key dead after USB port replaced, Which connector?

Dear all,
as the subject says, I replaced the faulty USB port for a new one, and after reassembling the phone everything is find except for the volume down key. Needless to say I double- and triple checked the connectors. But I don't know which one is responsible for connecting the volume keys to the motherboard. Is there a schematic drawing of the board available somewhere?
Found the connector responsible, it is the one next to the battery connector.
