As NativeKeyboard not working for Lumia 710 I decided to add Lithuanian keyboard by myself. I stuck with one problem - I can't find the correct dword value, which response to show Lithuanian keybord in keyboards list. For example Russian keyboard [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FingerKB\InputMethods\lang_0419] and Language=dword:00002772, for Lithuanian [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\FingerKB\InputMethods\lang_0427] and Language=dword:???? It's seems what dword value is some kind of address for text. Maybe someone have idea how to find needed dword value for Lithuanian? Thanks

I have been searching unsuccessfully on the forum for an answer to this question, I am looking for a way to set tengo, or at least something better than Keyboard as the default input method so that when i soft reset it doesn't go back to keyboard. It's a little petty annoyance, just wondered if anyone could help me out. I have tried a suggestion by someone on this forum to install fitaly, change the input method in their settings, then uninstall but it doesn't work when i uninstall fitaly.
Any help would be much appreciated

Try this...
Using a registry editor, search within HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID for key IsSIPInputMethod. Then, for each one found look at the parent CLSID and you should see a string value (Default) set to the name of the input method (e.g Keyboard, Letter Recogniser, etc.) Once you find the CLSID entry for the input you want, make a note of it (e.g. {A070BE16-AD56-11d3-BC77-00C06C512035} is the Resco Keyboard one). Then find registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip and edit the string value DefaultIm to have the CLSID you require.

The only method I currently know is to use *0# followed by a space either in the subject line or if no subject, then at start of the text. That is specific to O2 I think, there are others for other operator/country.

is there a way to change the soft keyboard (displayed when clicking on the keyboard-symbol) from qwety to qwertz ?
I do NOT mean the setting to change it on the hardware-keyboard (registry entry) which works.
I assume the settings are in the registry as well. Any hints?

I use an external Keyboard with German Layout, the Softkeyboard works with some registry changes.
The external Keyboard use maybe the Registrykey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD
The important Values are:
"Keyboard SubType"=0
"Keyboard Type"=4
Type 4 is for english, and i don't know the german value, i think it is dangerous to change it to any value, without know how.
Maybe also the prob is the Key:
"DriverName"=keybddr.dll
If it is the problem you must generate a german driver with the SDK!
As i said before, i'am not sure but this are my results and i'am also looking for a solution!

I mean Resco Keyboard is a a Softkeyboard,
i have described the problem about german qwertz layout support, for external Hardware Keyboard and that is not the same registry settings like softkeyboard qwertz layout!
The Prob is still the same!
I don't think that the solution for the softkeybord will work on Athena too, but maybe you can find a similar way.
This works for Trinity and Hermes devices, but both have only a QVGA screen.

I just updated my HTC Touch Pro to 6.5 with one of the made roms from here.
Works very nice.
The problem is, there ain't any danish keyboard layout.
So i can't use the following letters: æøå
Though i can see the letters no problem if i receives messages with em'.
I just cant type them my self.
Anyway to solve this? Ive look around the forum but can't really seem to find anything useful.

Hy, there is a registry entry that changes the layout of the keyboard and you have to change the value to 0407 (engl.) or 0409 (germ.) or the number of your country ... Sorry that i cant say more at the moment, but im sure you will find that by using the search..

I have now tried with all the .reg's and stuff around the forums, scandinavian hardware keyboards etc.
The closest i got, was with Scandinavian Keyboard by Fraction.

Can someone help with some basic registry edits. Im having a hard time getting them to stick to my 740. please bare with me i have been trying for hours. Everything seems correct but i still get no luck of it showing.

So i look for the key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications\{A877D65B-239C-47a7-9304-0D347F580408}
In the right pane it only shows a String REG_SZ: Name :Wave with a value of a *.wav file.
Now do i need to create a new String REG_SZ with the Name: Options. and a value of 1073741855 (as per that other thread)
and another new String AvailableOptions with value: 31
Then soft reset.
I should then see a menu option in my Sounds menu to set specific options for this notification?

Aren't those mods for WM Professional (touchscreen) as in Treo 750 instead of Standard (Smartphone, non-touchscreen) as in Rose? Probably those changes are not made for Rose's OS.

I work on Bulgarian layout. It works fairly well, but I ad to replace the French layout.To make it work better, i have 2 questions
1) Is it possible to modify the actions of the functional keys (enter, shift, change layout)
AND/OR
2)how can I change/modify the menu layout of the keyboard
(aka
Text input settings
French ->
Phone Keyboard
.....
)
to change at the very least the "French" entry with "Bulgarian"
....

Modifying the xmlfiles 0C0C.xml and 0D0C.xml. replacing the char values I want, and restarting, I got a fully typing Ezinput keyboard. On the other hand, replacing in 0b0c.xml the char values I want, the layout changes, (I see the chars I want), but when I type, I get the old values.
Does anyone know where are they modified?
