Hello SGS 2 users!
When I launch my camera app and switch to front facing camera a pop up pops up and says "camera failed"
I'm using Diaster rom v5.5 with PhilZ-cwm6 kernel.

1) try deleting Data/Cache of the camera App then reboot and see.
2) u can try a newer version of Philz kernel or alternatives like 'Jeeboo' or 'Siyah v6.0beta4' and see

Simply i get below message every time i try to install a custom rom
tried with and without wiping device before installation with now success
Sony ICS ROM is to slow and want to try CM10.1

No, please just try some and find your personal best fitting rom. Everbody has his own functions he needs, etc

When recording video, I get that audio cutoff bug after 1-2 mins. Also had it with 4.22 camera, with cm10.1.

Hi! A few days ago, my camera application has started to give me a problem.

For reuse the camera i'm obliged to reboot the device, but during the day the problem return!
The problem is with any ROM: cm, slim, temesek...with any kernel...and with any gapps...
I try to reflash the official samsung firmware to see if the problem persisted, and with it the camera work perfectly always!
Someone have a solution???

the camera is a well know issue in custom roms, u can use camera JB+ until the camera issues get fixed

Thanks! But in stock firmware the both driver is the same and then don' t create issue, the problem is only with aops/cm rom! And in it, the code of the post that you have recommended me, don' t work!
For the moment, a my friend have found an app that reboot ONLY the camera application! One tap, and the camera work again! This app is called: Restart camera
As soon as possible i post the link of the app!

I was about to update its rom, I started trying to flash "twrp-2.8.5.0-f2fs-crater" on it and I got an error message

then I went to download recovery app from this site https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxymega58.html, I granted it a SuperUser permission and then installed blackbox, all of that when it was working on
I got the command to restart the phone from the app, but when I press yes nothing happens!! so I SWITCHED IT OFF !
It won't switch on, regardless of removing the battery or putting it in the charger ! no signs of life
ANY HELP pleeeeeeeeese !
Best solve i do in such cases : Factory Flash to stock firmware but then you should wait for a expert opinion here

how can I do a factory reset without it opening
it acts like it doesn't respond to power button, so no recovery mode!!

Try to put the phone into download mode and flash the stock firmware through odin
