[APP][Framework] Xposed Framework Mods - Galaxy Tab 8.9 Themes and Apps

Manage individual application permissions
Set DPI on a per app basis (like ParanoidAndroid)
Set language by application
*Other modules as created by.... anyone!
Should work on ANY stock or AOSP device as it is just a standard framework modification! This is awesome for devices like ours that have little ROM development support!
This is NOT my work. I'm just passing on some fantastic development!

175 views and no thanks, questions or comments?!? I thought this would take off a little quicker. Maybe it's slow on the uptake becuase it's the holidays...

I tried in my 7310 ics stock and does not work. It is unable to install the framework.
Thanks anyway. I'll use it in my i9000.
Enviado desde mi GT-P7310 usando Tapatalk 2

How did you try to install? What errors did you get? It is not actually a zip file but an .apk (app). So download and click to install just like any other app. Also must be rooted.
This opens up so many possibilities Im still surprised not more people are commenting.

I can install the apk, but not the framework once I'm in the aplication.

The only issue I could see is if you were not rooted as the app says is required or dismissed the superuser request the first time it asked you. If you are rooted then check superuser to make sure you have not denied access.
Otherwise provide the error you are getting

I am root. But i can not use it. Thanks for helping anyway.

Downlaoded the Xposed installer from the attachment here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
And how can I change the dpi now? Cause if i press on modules, there aren't any?

the villainrom links appear to be dead. does anyone know where i can find the mod that manages permissions on a per app basis?

[MOD][Xposed] QuickPinUnlock

EDIT 2013-07-28
This mod will now work regardless of pin length! (Before, only pins of length 4 could be used.)
Download (new version)

Enjoy!
Original Post:
First of all:
I have < 10 posts, hence I cannot create this thread in the appropriate sub-forum. If a moderator wants to move this thread, that would be nice.
Description:
QuickPinUnlock mod for stock roms. Allows you to access the home screen after correct pin entry immediately without having to hit 'OK'. This mod is based on the Xposed framework and requires it to be installed to work.
Compatibility:
This was only tested on the i9205, but frankly it should work on other models too as it does not replace anything, but only overrides certain method calls with reflection.
Credits:
Credits go out to @Nottach for NottachXposed (url: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285074). I had a look at his sources, that helped.
Further thanks go out to @rovo89 for the Xposed framework, it's awesome and very easy to get into. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Installation:
It's simple. You need root, and you need to be running Xposed framework > 2.0. Install the APK, activate the module in the Xposed app, reboot, enjoy!
The APK:

Questions are welcome.

Ok, i should mention this:
ATM This will only work for pins of length 4. I was smart enough to hardcode that. If the pin length is > 4 it wont let you access the homescreen. I will have to fix that later today.
Regards
A new version is available. First post updated!
Working fine. Thanks

Hi @ponglenis,
Apologies for both the thread necromancy and drive-by Googling. Just found this thread and noticed that the DL link is down. If I may inquire, any chance this mod was intended to work with both the AOSP lockscreen and 4.1 ROMs? (I'm guessing it's 4.2+, as all other quick pin unlock mods seem to be, but figured I may as well ask.) Thanks!

No harm done.
To answer your question - I honestly don't know. I've received an email from a user who is running this exact mod on an a google edition (4.3) rom. You have two options:
1. Compare the sources of the two classes where code is injected and see if crucial parts changed. (I can't tell you what the Keyguard classes looked like under 4.1 as I've never written this mod for 4.1):
- com.android.internal.policy.impl.keyguard.KeyguardPINView
- com.android.internal.policy.impl.keyguard.KeyguardAbsKeyInputView
2. Install it and see what happens. Make a nandroid before or have an xposed-disabler zip ready if things go south.
I re-uploaded the mod, thanks for pointing out that the link is down!

I actually remember trying this some time ago, now that I've seen the package name. Comparing the 4.1 lockscreen to your mod, I don't believe those two classes exist in 4.1, at least as they stand now. Oh well, thanks for your reply anyway!
did not work in Nexus 5 stock rooted 4.4.2
FYI: installed GravityBox and that has a quick pin unlock option.

This goes without saying, but this module is a huge security risk if always enabled. After using it for whatever you want to use it for, disable it and reboot.
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
Yes, it should not be always enabled. Enable it only when you need it.
What risks?
Thx, useful to switch between DEBUG and RELEASE builds :good:
A feature like 'enable for 1 minute' would be nice.
A simple ui with justa checkbox for the enabling/disabling of the module would bê a good adition.but not sure if it's possible
For what? You can enable or disable module in Xposed Installer.

But after enabling /disabling you need to reboot, witch is the same as you unistalling the original apk and installing the New one with diferente signature
The only difference being you would keep the data
But it's only my personal opinion .
Yes, hm. It sounds well. I will do it.

Someone who modifies a trusted app like Google play store with malicious codes can install it over the real app which has an encrypted signature
@pyler can we get gingerbread support plz?
v1.1:
Changes:
- added settings to control APK signature check (just click on module in Xposed Installer to launch module settings)
- support for android 2.3

Thank you for this module, but the setting in app is invalid, whenever I checked or unchecked the box in app, I must reboot device to make it work successfully, just like enable/disable this module in xposed installer then reboot.
Actually, I want to toggle this function easily, just bypass the annoying reboot process. It it technically possible?
This app screwed up something on my Nexus 5. I'm running CM11 and when I rebooted it showed basically what it did when I first installed the ROM. I used the TWRP file manager to delete the apk and everything went back to normal. Any ideas?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Same to me. Running this in my Galaxy S4 CM11 4.4.3 and after reboot I've "lost" all applications other than system ones. Then disabled xposed through recovery and got everything back but all Accounts section was lost.
Funny, but some time ago I made a similar module for development purposes (XDisableAppSignCheck on github).
This is very handy in development. But you should never use it in production! Especially on devices with important data.
This module gives me bootloops. Galaxy s3 cm 4.4.3
btw, removed setting because it doesnt work (can't work in initZygote) - v1.2
I dont know why it bootloops on CyanogenMod.. I tested it on stock Android 4.4.3 & TouchWiz 4.2.2 and all works. logs?

[MOD] V500d Splitwindow and Custom App Selection Mods

This is currently only for Stock G-pad's running the current US firmware V50020d (not aosp or V50020b). US only at this time. OP will be updated if other firmwares become functional. These mods will enable full splitwindow support to your G-pad and allow you to selectively choose what apps are displayed in the splitwindow "menu". Also, please note that this is a collection of other users work combined together for the ultimate Mod!! I did not create anything here, I just put the pieces together and tested if it all worked (which it does 100%).
Prerequisites:
-You must be on firmware version V50020d
-You must be rooted
-You must have a custom recovery
-Root and recovery can be achieved using ioroot 25 and @id10terror's recovery script both located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698267 . Please note that you must open the runme.bat script and manually change the firmware version from V50020b to V50020d in order for the recovery script to work. Then flash an updated TWRP from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551499
-Please keep questions about root and recovery out of this thread!!
Step 1: Get Splitwindow Working
-Download and flash the V500d splitwindow mod from @hensonlf located at the bottom of this post
-Boot device and using your preferred file manager add these 2 lines to the bottom of your build.prop:
ro.lge.capp_splitwindow=true
persist.splitwindow.support_all=true
-Save and reboot device
-Please read his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/themes-apps/split-window-g-pad-t2796066 for more detailed information, and don't forget to thank him for converting @xdabbeb's mod to our device
-You are now running splitwindow on your tablet, but wait whats this mess?......every single app I have installed appears in the splitwindow menu in a random order!! Unacceptable!! Or if you want all apps to appear there, you can stop here.
Step 2: Enable Individual App Selection
-First we must disable all installed apps from appearing in splitwindow menu. Using your preferred file manager open your build.prop and change one line we added in step one here:
persist.splitwindow.support_all=true
to:
persist.splitwindow.support_all=false
-Save and reboot device - now your running the default LG value for splitwindow
-Download and install @XabdullahX's G-Flex splitwindow mod apk from his thread here (I am not providing the download, as he has a free and donate version - the donate version alphabetizes your apps): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2707310
-Open app and grant it root permission
-When root is given, a list of all applications will be shown. Select the desired apps you want to appear in the menu when activated
-Click Apply
-Click Reboot to save (if you don't reboot from within the app, the settings will NOT stick - use the option he has provided)
-Done!! Enjoy your custom splitwindow without any crap you don't want shown
Big shout out to all these members for their work - be sure to thank them:
@Drgravy for TWRP
@autoprime for ioroot
@id10terror for root links and TWRP script
@xdabbeb for creating the splitwindow mod method for the G2
@hensonlf for porting the splitwindow mod to our device
@XabdullahX for his G-flex splitwindow apk mod

Dam, I thought the UK may work, as they are nearly identical. Op updated for US only. The author was going to make some other varient versions of the initial mod script. Check in on his thread for more info about that.
In the future, always have a nandroid ready to restore so you don't have to fully reflash...
yeah,my bad.didn't think there would be a problem as its stock 20d.nevermind, i have an old lg backup, got most stuff back.
hopefully mod be available for UK soon.really looking forward to this feature.

If your app is not xposed module, this thread will be moved or removed. This is section for Xposed modules only.
I have just uploaded the module and put it in xposed so please try it and give me your feedback
And how your app use Xposed functionality? I can find so much Phone Info apps in Google Play, don't need Xposed.
This guy just won't give up
You're making a bunch of regular apps and using the XPosed repo as a market for these apps that aren't XPosed modules. You are abusing the service simply to put your closed source apps out there.
I can only assume they are malicious and you are feigning ignorance to keep doing this.
I feel like all Xposed apps should be open source, require code review, and be compiled by trusted moderators prior to upload.
I guess he has a few apps using the XPosed repository. Seriously considering removing XPosed because I'm very leary of this s***
Not all apps provide these info and i made it to provide them if moderators see it is not good then its ok to remove them but dont come critisizing people and if this app is not useful to you then simply dont download it and use it

Repository the "Xposed Module Repository" is for "Xposed Modules", your app is not such one...
Im new here there are some things i didnt know so easy chill bro will make new apps soon
I have seen enough. "Modules" that don't need Xposed at all, and modules copied from other open-source projects without giving any kind of credit.
=> User and all modules are blocked in the repository now. If somebody notices similar suspicious modules/users, please use the contact form to report them.

Z5c, wich xposed version?

Ehi guys just tested v78arm64 but phone quickly reboot after succesfully boot. Any ideas?
I restore system With a twrp backup now..
Same situation, tried different frameworks but they all makes the device show the lockscreen an then reboot after 15 seconds or so. I looked everywhere I could, and I found that rovo89 sustain he's unable to make Xposed work because he can't do a deodex on service.odex (see https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/64) BUT AndroPlus lists the Z5C as working with broken camera in his guide on repairing the camera problem (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/z4-z5-z5c-fix-camera-fc-installing-t3246962)
I don't know who to trust, and I'd like to ask directly to AndroPlus in his thread, but XDA prevents me posting there. Thanks XDA.
Edit: solved; my issue was caused by incompatible ROM and Kernel. Go two posts down for details.
Anyone? I'm also having trouble finding a version that works...
Xposed Framework for Z5C is xposed-v79-sdk22-arm64
