Tasker Crashing Phone - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

Anyone heard of a problem like this? I'm on CleanROM but about half the time after a task runs the touch screen is only responsive for 5 seconds out of every 20.
The only task I run turns on bluetooth, run an autoconnect, and turns off wifi.
Searching came up with zip.

Details?
Clean or dirty flash? This can cause issues if it is the latter.
What kernel are you using? If you are using a custom kernel, undervolting too much can cause issues like un responsiveness.

[Q] Lag on App Screen (Bamf 3.0 RC3)

Hey - I recently downloaded Das BAMF 3.0 RC3 with Imo's leanKernel on Extreme, and everything seemed to be running smoothly (at one point my touch screen did not respond, but a battery pull fixed that, ha). Just recently my app animations (for example, when I go to the app drawer, the apps 'fly' in and then 'fly' away when I close them) is VERY laggy, and they were not before. I did not update or change anything... I am using LauncherPro and WidgetLocker, but always have been. I have been trying to change settings around but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions or know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
EDIT: And scrolling them the apps is very fast - it is just them flying in and out. Very strange...
EDIT 2: A completely other problem I am having - when I try to reboot, it doesn't reboot, it just shuts off. Is this a serious problem or something small that can fix it, or is this a known issue with the ROM that I will have to deal with until they fix?

Freezing Screen unlock

Hi guys,
I am currently on Checkrom v4 with darky kernel. Most of the time, when i open the phone from a sleep state or screen of state, the screen will not respond to unlock gesture. I have to turn the unit off for at least 2 times before the screen would eventually respond. Sometimes, when turn it of again, the will just turn black but with button lights open. Then after i turn it off again, the screen will eventually light up and respond.
I also have experience this with other samsung roms such as criskelo, batista which is why i always flash back to Cm7 wherein I don't experience this. BTW, i also dont seem to remember experiencing this on CM9... your thoughts would be appreciated... TIA
yeah buddie.i am facing the excact the same problem.............
dont know how to get rid of this........
Maybe it's kernel related?

Happens to me too with Siyah 2.6.11.
Maybe it's undervolting.

This used to happen to me when I had a screen off profile enabled on SetCPU. If you're using SetCPU, try disabling it to see if that solves the problem.
I think i've found out what's causing this... it's the touch screen tune app... after.I removed this, it seems to be not freezing upon wake up of the device... HTH

What govenor are you using?
I'm new to the SGS2. Coming from my old SGS1 running ICS I couldnt go back to gingerbread.
Leaked ICS on SGS2= No custom kernels BUT!...
With root access and NS tools app you can tweak stock "Ondemand" govenor. Its at 100000micro seconds which is 10th of a second stock sampling rate. This is SLOW. Couple with waking from sleep and known On-demand delay issues I think this might be the culprit... Cant wait for sources

[Q] One Power Guard

Has anybody with a Note 2 tried the One Power Guard? I'm rooted running Scott's Clean ROM Verizon Special Edition, with the kernel that comes with the ROM. While I have had no issues with my battery, I figure it's always better to use less battery, right?
Questions for users: does the phone seem to run any slower? Are there any lag issues? Do you switch modes frequently or does the AI mode seem to do the job well? Since this app seems to base most of it's settings off the min and max frequency, are there any settings in my ROM I should change relating the processor frequency before installing? Would it be more effective than just using the "Power Save Mode" that Samsung has included?

Don't worry about your phone lag.
3 way can make it run well.
1. Change other IO until it is the best
2. Make higher CPU frequencies.
3. Change other CPU governors such as: "powersave" more lag than "ondemand"
so try to change some settings until your phone run the best.
You can feedback your issue from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1947559
I'm now on Criskelo the great ROM, having good battery but I wanna squeeze it even more (ie. save more juice!)
Then I found One Power Guard yesterday, and installed it. Running on default (AI mode), I notice it's draining battery even more so, I wonder why?
Anyone notice this issue?

[Q] Flickering Multicolored Lines

For the past week or so my phone has had flickering multicolored lines flash across the homescreen(s)/lockscreen when I turn the display back on. Sometimes it will also happen if I'm sitting on the homescreen with the display already on.
Here is my Rom history as the problem began:
Was on supernexus (Android 4.2.2 I believe) - issue was not present
Flashed Unofficial Slim build 6 (wiped cache/dalvik/factory reset before install)- started having the issue
Flashed Unofficial Slim build 6.2 (wiped cache/dalvik)- issue still present
Flashed AOCP 5.7 yesterday (wiped cache/dalvik/factory reset and formatted internal SD)- thought issue was gone, but it started happening again today.
I tried taking screenshots but the issue disappears as soon as I press the volume+power button to take the screenshot. This only seems to happen when I'm on the homescreen/lockscreen, I dont think it has happened while in any other apps.
I'm wondering if this might be an issue with the specific version of the Nova launcher, as I believe that is the common denominator between these Roms (isn't AOCPs launcher based on CM's nova?). I just installed go launcher and the problem seems to be gone (for now).
Has anyone else seen something like this? I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere, I spent several hours searching Google and XDA before posting. I can post a picture later when I have access to another camera phone.
Same issue here
I have the same issue at the lock screen. Prevalent on all JB roms I have tried, carbon, revolt & slim bean.
I'm currently using Carbon nightly. I have not seen a fix for this yet. I have heard it might be an issue with the processor waking up from sleep.
After installing Go Launcher Ex opening it a couple times and then going back to using the Aspire launcher that came with AOCP, I haven't had this issue again all afternoon. Didn't have it at all yesterday though, so it might come back.
I played around with all the brightness settings but it didn't seem to do anything. Do you happen to have any pictures of the effect you are getting? I'll try and post a picture of mine tonight if it happens again. Thanks!
About 3 hours ago, I changed some GPU & lock screen settings and the issue has not reappeared.
I will post back either later tonight or tomorrow morning with some info.
I haven't taken any photos of the problem yet. By the way, do you usually experience the issue on lock screen coming from a screen off state?
ditto on this. I have Cyanogenmod 10.1 installed and I get these lines intermittently.
Try turning off CRT animations and disable hw overlays.

disabling hardware overlays always fixes it for me
same issue
Have the same issue going on had freezing and resolved that now I'm stuck on these lines multiple diff ROMs I am running cm10 I see people saying he overlays can someone provide a little more info on what that is and where to find it? Attaching screen shots of these multi color lines we speak of

Go to settings, developer options scroll half way down and you will find it. You will have to disable it every time you reboot or you can use two paid apps from the market. These apps are tasker and secure setting they are both worth every cent.

Do you have any backlight handling apps? I used lux all the time and it stopped after I disabled it.

Just enabled "Disabled HW overlay" and "Force GPU rendering". Like some of the users suggested, I found about the possible solution from this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhhPPke_Nbw
(go to 1:40)
I usually get the flickering with the lock screen (I use WidgetLocker Lockscreen). I was having some flickering this morning and checking both of those options seemed to immediately cut out the flickering.
I ran across it(the flickering lines) on one of the 4.2.2 roms, can't remember exactly which one but what I ended up having to do was disable one of the tweak apps it came with and install Trickster Mod only. Worked for me, no more flickering or rebooting, not sure what the cause may have been but have had no other issues after that for I believe it was 2 weeks
Please elaborate

By chance can you give some more details about this Trickster Mod like where to find it and what it is supposed to do?
A link to a thread would be great

Scroll down to my post there. If you still need help, just let me know.
Trickster mod I believe is mainly for Rom's that have Kernels that can be OC'd or Under Clocked. Kind of the same as Android Tweaker or SetCPU but is a little smoother for me IMO.

[Q] Sense 5 Touch Screen Issue

I'm running the Y7 Sense 5 ROM and I occasionally run into a problem where I can't pull down the notification bar. I think I have the old touch screen firmware installed atm. Eventually it goes away if i toggle the screen on/off a few times but it's super annoying.
Has anyone else seen this issue?
Is the issue ROM related, hardware, touch screen FW, something else?
Not that specific problem but I did get some sporadic lag in the app drawer.
Sent from my SM-T217S using xda app-developers app
It sounds more like youre experiencing lag than screen issue have you tried a complete wipe with super wipe and a clean install.
I've experienced the same touchscreen issue, where certain things just don't seem to work. My example would be the Tutorial screens after fresh install. I had to click the back button instead of being able to click the X or follow along on the tutorial.
This issue doesn't exist for me on a fresh 4.1.2, Sense 4 install.
