[Q] sound problem on GT P7500 on JB 4.1.2 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello ...
i have a GT P7500 and after updating to JB 4.1.2
i´ve noticed that the volume through headphones
is too low ... is there anyone with same problem ???
is there a solution to this issue ...
i went through settings and could not find option
to control or to activate or check or whatever ...
need help ...
thx

I'm on jb 4.2 now, but i'm guessing you have the 'safe headset volume' in your settings, so go to
Settinhs > sound > safe headset volume > uncheck
Other than that, go to your DSP Manager app, then go to WWM8994 or something like that, if you open that, you see 'headset volume' turn up the amplifier level until you reach the sound level you want.
Hope this helped

Thanks for the tips. I don't have a "Safe headset volume" under Settings > Sound. However, I do remember it asking me the first time I used the headset plugged speakers and did uncheck it then.
I also have headset volume turned up under WWM8994.
I can get somewhat higher volume with Volume+ but it's so distorted that I can't listen to it. Again, this was fine under stock ICS. Something is amiss, I just can't find the right combination.

Check the other options in your dsp manager, if the issue is not there, try to reflash or contact the developer

No sound from speaker, only earpiece

Something has happened to my x10. The sound has somehow switched from the speaker to only the earpiece. I cant hear anything from the speaker at all.
Is there something I can do to get the sound back on the speaker? Be default, the sound should really work on the speaker on default for all media unless earphones are connected and all calls on the earpiece. Currently everything is working on the earpiece only.
What has gone wrong here?
Lets first check out, if its a hardware or software failure.
Go to the lock screen and press: "menu > back > back > menu > back > menu > menu > back"
Now you're in the service menu.
There you hit "Service tests" and "Speaker".
Make sure to gain Volume to max.
After you tried that out, we'll continue in searching a solution

[Q] How do I lower the minimum volume on my vibrant?

Is there a way to get into the internal settings to lower the minimum volume, because right now when I'm listening it with headphones the minimum volume is way too loud. Thanks for any help!
same thing here. subbed
I am looking for an answer too!
Download SGSTools, click "secret codes", click "service mode debug netz audio common" then click "Audio" then "speaker" then "volume" and try messing around. I don't want to mess anything up because my settings are perfect.
Can anyone comment on whether the SGS tools method works? I don't want to break my vibrant either.

I have messed with these settings for quite some time. They don't seem to have any effect (tried handset/headset/speaker/so on) and you lose any changes when you reboot.
Min volume is also too loud for me. Using a preamp like in PowerAMP or Mixzing helps but it's staticy.

(Q)(D) Sound volume increase

I was hoping we could start a new thread about the increase of sound volume for the Xperia mini models.
How can we override the default sound volume when using headphones, or even better, increase the volume at the front speaker during call?
PowerAmp, a music player available on the Market does have the functionality of increasing the volume while listening to music with headphones, so what can be done at the development side and level of tweaking the sound settings without having to escape to third party software?
As a former owner of Sony Ericsson P1i, we used to adjust the fairxxxx something settings, even thou only a Symbian phone. But now I looked into the root sound settings of the SE mini pro, and it has similar structure and arguments somehow?
Please use this thread to discuss volume increase level of our beloved phones.

Install Owain's Cm6 or CM7 goto menu -> DSP settings -> you are done with separate settings for speaker and headphones

Thank you for your answer, but my thread is about hacking the original SE ROM.
Can the DSP setting of Owain´s mods be applied to Android original 2.1 somehow, then we start talking?
Try to install this and check if it works.

Nope, did not work. Only compatibel with 2.2 and 2.3 as far as I can tell and tried
But if PowerAmp can manage it on 2.1, we can too, right? Come on, it is in the instructions of the root somewhere. Please help!

[Q] Need help about DSP Manager

When i listen to music with Apollo or any apps with DSP Manager enable sometime I've a problem.
There nothing happen, no effect at all.
Then I change a track... its gone BOOM! media volume get to maximize level (Yeah... when I'm on a headphone, it was a freaking pain )
When I lower my volume then its jump back to normal level.
Like these > I set media volume to 5 >Listen to my awesome music > Enable DSP > No Effect > Skip track > Boom it go to level 15 > Lower a volume via volume rockr one click > Back to Level 5
I don't know what really happen there as I've said above "sometime" But after the 1st error this problem still persist.
I've Clear Data Of DSP apps,Fix permission, Factory Reset. Nothing seem to fix.
I've Try some Rom, like CM9.0//CM9.1//CM9 b20121028//Rootbox ICS 1.8//Some other ROM (I can't remember)
mostly on Siyah and Dream Kernel.
And for Rootbox thats used MusicFX, Its give me unsatisfied result (sometime its same problem. No effect But no media volume jump)
So if there any fix for this problem? or I'm need to stuck with Sammy Rom forever (And I hate Touch-Wiz )
And sorry for my English, If it gave you a headache (LOL)
!BUMP!

[Q] How to connect ringer and media volume on JB ?

Hello.
In JB, there's an option to connect ringer and notification volume, but there's no option to connect ringer/notification with "Music, video and other media" volume.
It's completely annoying when you have "silent + vibration" mode, start a game and the sound is maxed!
Any way to fix it?

Sound-> Volume Panel style->Expanded.This is the best thing I could give you, without having to mod ROM.
Thank you by this time, the only thing I could find is to install Volume Control pro. Helps a bit.
But is threre any way to patch Android for the same result? That's the question..
