It can and whats the best it wont need custom kernel.

The xperia U is a low end Device, much more peple buy high end Devices like the S or P. There are'nt enough SXU user on XDA for a own Forum at the moment.

i have a sony walkman z series android running ics 4.0.4, as it is not a phone i guess its a mini tablet.
i am not sure how to root it, and i have tried most of the generic roots. (and super one click crashes on my computer )
the bootloader is locked.
i would like to root it.
Please help!!
