I was successful in restoring the touch screen.
Cause the loss of touch on my machine because i flashed wrong rom.I flashed this rom. I also do not understand why I did so. It is stupid, no.... really very idiot. The only thing what i still remember that is i install it when i want go to sleep
After two days of struggling with many tutorials on internet and flashed my phone so many times with many different rom. I was happy to finally restore the touch screen. It was a beautiful day.So I wrote this tutorial to share everybody like me and hope my toturial could help you.
When your sk17i has same problem like me. Calm down and follow absolute accuracy my guide.
Step 1: Use flashtool flash kernel CM10 (here) or rage-kernel (here). I was used CM10. ( If want flash custom kernel, u must unlock bootloader. This is toturial.)
Step 2: Flash rom Ultimate HD 2.0.2 but chose device is ACTIVE (dont choose your device). Finished, turn on your phone and wait 5 mins. And i gues your phone will stop at black screen. Dont worry about that, remove battety and go to next step.
Step 3: Flash again above rom (ultimate HD 2.0.2) but choose MINI PRO. Finished, do not turn on your phone.
Step 4: Flash .62 stock rom for sk17i (download here). And finished toturial, your touch screen will restore.

Yes, i restored my touch screen by this way.
I dont sure my toturial will work with ST15i because i nerver test on st15i, i fixed success on sk17i.
You can try here. It maybe work because have many persons success.

Hi! I tried it on my SK17i. Just want to clarify, after flashing ROM for MINI PRO in step 3, what exactly do I do (You said don't turn on)? do I flash stock ROM while in the recovery screen? Or turn off phone by pulling the battery off before flashing stock ROM?
I can't make it work yet, but I am still trying. Nevertheless, thank you because this is so far the only method that gets my touch screen working after flashing custom ROM for Active but no good after completing the steps.:good:

You need an unlocked bootloader to flash the kernel and yes these kernels are prerooted

1. Download CM10 kernel or rage kernel ( I used rage 3.2)
2. Flash the kernel
3. Flash Ultimate HD 2.0.2 rom and choose the one for active <- and my phone booted with touchscreen working :victory::victory::victory::victory::victory:

i have fixed it. but second step when i install with mini pro touch screen again gone. so i installed it third time by active ST17i and it fixed, keypad not working fixed by ,apk file and all working perfectly. now i want to know is there any problem by using active rom on mini pro

im new here and new to custom roms for Android. Nou i've got a new phone (the Galaxy Nexus) and now i wanted to use my old phone to try some custom roms... Now i found the BlackEditionHD i did everything they wanted me to do. It was rooted, used to bootload onlocker from cobrato, Everything seemed to work till the startup screen from BlackEditionHD (at the screen from the big picture from the thread), then it got stuck...
Somebody knows the problem and can help?

I think that or something similar happened to me as well. Maybe our phones can't handle either the kernel or firmware so try another ROM. Full respects for crowds as he has put a lot of effort into it, its just not quite as stable.
My advice now is to try the ROMs around, I'm using donutHD for a month now, and I'm loving it. Its up to you to choose.

I am using the same rom.
Try to recover the phone than start from the beginning.
I mean flash the factory firmware by usb then flash the FXP kernel and finally the rom itself
Are u definitely using correct (fxp) kernel. PS prodigy I using donut HD also it's not bad is it? Like some of the ics goodness.

Which kernel u using? Id maybe suggest repair with seus/pcc/flashtool(global generic) & starting again.
Tried that already. I used flashtool with X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_1241-1846.tft for repair..
i also tried [RoM] Oodie CM V3 Released | 13/12 | For Unlocked BL | CM7.2.0 | Taste of CM on X10 just a few minutes ago and flashed the kernal they say in there thread... but i still have the same problem (

It is a bit strange maybe the download was bad or something. Try redownload if u really want blk edition maybe.

Yes DonutHD ftw. Its running really nicely on my phone and I'm not changing until we get proper CM9, so yeah, I'm happy. Stick with the ROM for now, rpolleke.

date:06/01/2012 i was flash kernel x10_customfxp52.ftf
and flash way x cwm5 recovery BlackEditionHD 5.2 and no use mobile don't put sim don't do any thing in cell, i was go to out of city when i am come to home i m just start cell and only put hand free and play songe my cell was restart and only stop on BlackEditionHD start screen and play mini beeps.
10 time this so now i flash the android 2.3.ftf file now start my mobile and see sony erricson logo and see msg top in android system and cell shutdown. 50 time this and can't start my cell.
i was flash again 5 time but same thing.
so now i charge my cell charge my x10 but I see battery don’t charge is discharge so now so not charge better.
and i confuse so i 9/1/2012 i go to sony erricson cervices center 5 date to 19 date there can say me mobile have hardware problems.

If you dont mind to unlock your bootloader, then that will be your first step.
Then, flash custom kernel.
After that, if you want to use hybrom, you will need .62 first afaik.
Just make sure you do it all with caution or else, what is messed will be "upgraded" to become a disaster for your device.

same problem with me 5 days ago, but my XMP on FW .58
what i do is update to FW .62 using SEUS
and you heart attack will recover
simply install stock rom again. via wotanserver, seus or flashtool. any method you prefer

Op said want to install hybrom later. If he/she just flash the stock, he/she just will soft brick the device again and again and again. The other newcomers might follow it also and the numbers of people who soft bricked their device will just keep incresing as of now. They NEED to know they MUST unlock their bootloader and install custom kernel that have cwm in order to flash custom ROM.

I just want to enlighten the op since the op already flash hybrom v11, flashing custom kernel and do wipe all in cwm already bring the device again. Hybrom just doesnt compatible with stock kernel. But, if you guys lead him to the long way, once the op flash hybrom v11 again from stock ROM/kernel, then it will be bricked again and the circle wont stop and he/she might think that was hybrom faults but the fact is, unlock your bootloader to flash custom kernel before you can use custom ROM, it is just that simple.
If op doesnt have any plan to use custom ROM,reluctant to unlock bootloader, flash back stock by any methods prefered as stated you and metalrawk should be enough. Correct me if im wrong, it is not that hard. If dont like my post, you are welcome to put me in your "ignore list".. It is free to do so..
Edit: and i dont even quote any posts by you or other posters, it is not an argument, just an explanation.

And my post just not targetting the op alone. There are more and more people that are new to flashing now posting at hybrom thread and in this section as well complaining they are stuck at s.e logo, i believe you can see that trend, ive explained it as well in my post above. no hard feeling taken at my side.
I seldom go to any "general" section but that trend of posting in other section quite annoying to be honest.. The op might know (we all can see from his/her post) but the other newcomers might read it and impatiently assume the whole story incorrectly, thats my concerns.
If my post is wrong, then its my bad and apologies from me. Other than that, i believe we agree the story ends here.

what i did -
installed Android SDK,
downloaded custom inf for XPERIA phone, installed
unlocked my bootloader via SE official method
downloaded Rage Kernel 2.3, installed it via fastboot
booted in CWM recovery, installed hybrom v11
and it just worked thanks everybody......

I upadated my Sony Xperia Mini St15i to ICS 4.0.4 with Sony PC companion (Frimware: 4.1.B.0.587). Till then everything was fine.
Then I rooted my phone by following this

Still everything was fine.
I installed Titanium Backup and removed few bloatwares, following this

but i don,t know how to do it

Btw...for flashing a rom you need a recovery and a unlocked bootloader (not all rom have this request), but for have a recovery you need root...so you have to root your phone first using this guide if you have 6.1.1.B.1.54...after this you can install the recovery (for locked bootloader) follow this guide...this is a summary but i hope that you must read all guides before and after you can tried it

is the phone turning on? I think you only get that error when your trying to flash a custom kernel with a locked Bootloader. try flashing stock kernel and you should be fine. try this guide too:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1821750

Yes the unit powers up just fine. i also got it to flash the 2.1 Package using flashtool. that one worked out just fine. Ill update it from 2.1 to 2.3.3 using sues and check the BL status. Lets hope i get it saved

Guys, my mobile hangs often. While I am using my mobile it will be working fine. But, when the screen locks automatically or when I lock screen manually, it stucks. I cannot unlock again. Simply black screen.
I have to remove battery and do hard reboot so that it will work fine again. It is not happening all the time. But daily at-least twice it is happening. But most of the time it is working good. I can lock and unlock manually. I can unlock after an automatic lock.
Any solution, is this because of the memory usage?? I am not an expert in mobiles and I just started exploring your site. I need your help friends.

I have to remove battery and do hard reboot so that it will work fine again. It is not happening all the time. But daily at-least twice it is happening. But most of the time it is working good. I can lock and unlock manually. I can unlock after an automatic lock.
Any solution, is this because of the memory usage?? I am not an expert in mobiles and I just started exploring your site. I need your help friends.

why not you install any other rom and check...may works

Luffy, My phone is still in warranty period. If I flash custom ROM, warranty cannot be claimed in any case. So thinking about that.
Also, I haven't flashed customer ROM before. I may crash the phone. If you have any links that show exact steps to do I can try. I know nothing in flashing, if I have detailed procedure for noobs I can try.

To Install Any Custom You Have To Follow The Steps On The Rom Thread Mention by OP
But Before Fist You Need To Install any custom recovery and root

SLD by @cmahendra ..... Its not a ROM its butter as said by @wrick17 !! Download it and I bet you will never switch to any other ROM...

What kind of lock you'r using? Slide, camera, voice? Best to use slide. No lags works best.

I bought this phone 2 years back as soon as it got released and using this even now and has been using with 3G since then and till last month.
The hanging problem explained in this series of issues has started happening on my phone from last month only.
Any remedy with the same , As i repeated the steps told above and the problem still persists.
