[Theme/Mod] Black Status Bar/Quick Setting & Lock Icon Removal [SnowJB!] [3/08/2013]
Hey again, I have redone this with the SystemUI for the SnowJB Rom. I didn't even want to install JB until I had the time to do this.
Do a backup first. I make no promises and take no responsibility for your OG's spontaneous combustion resulting from flashing this.
I would suggest wiping cache and maybe even dalvik after flashing.
Reported working on stock AT&T Roms. I can't vouch for this because I have not tried it. Backup if you wish to attempt it.
I also modified the QSlide add on to black it out for those who would want it.
SnowJB Black Status Bar/Quick Settings
V1: Self Explanatory, see screenshot 5. View attachment 1750838
V1.1 Same as V1 with the QSlide bar, see screensot 6. View attachment 1753136
V2: V1 with the clock color changed to stock blue, see screenshot 7. View attachment 1789917
V2.1: V1.1 (QSlide) with the blue clock. View attachment 1789920
Original ICS Post:
Hey guys, I have been playing around in some of the system .apks and making some small edits to them and wanted to share.
I am running The Base Rom and therefor (for now) all of these use Base (7.3) .apks.
I would not install these on any other Rom without a backup and the understanding that I have not tried them myself.
I adapted The Base Rom v.0.7.3 update.zip script (because I have never made an update.zip before), so I would like to thank Nottach for the original script.
If Nottach has a problem with this, please let me know, I will remove it.
I have absolutely NO affiliation with Nottach or The Base development, if you run into any problems Nottach is NOT responsible.
I have heard it works on stock if you delete (or rename) /system/app/SystemUI.odex after you install it (and then reboot again), I can't guarantee it will work correctly, but it is reported to work. As always, backup first.
Also posted working on Nocturnal, again, backup first.
Base 7.3 black status bar mod.zip (V1-3)
I have made the status bar for The Base v.0.7.3 black (and the Quick Settings background in V3).
V1: This is a darker (very dark gray) status bar, but not completely black. (screenshot 1)
V2: V2 is a pure black status bar.
V3: V3 has a pure black status bar and also themes the background for the Quick Settings (screenshot 2).
V4: V4 is V3 with the gray dividers removed from the Quick Settings (screenshot 3).
Base 7.3 lockscreen no icon.zip
I noticed when using the first lockscreen clock (the minimal one) that it added a lock icon in the middle of the lockscreen.
I have removed it and the small animation that goes with it (I have only made the .pngs transparent, they are still technically there).
(See screenshot comparison [pic 4]).

This comes with the normal disclaimer, I have installed these successfully on my phone with no issues, but can not promise a similar result for you.
This replaces system apps from /system/app/, so I strongly recommend either a system backup in recovery or at least making a copy of your version of the edited apps before installation.
Install via recovery.
Thank you for your support, I'm a noob, but really love getting my hands dirty here.

This works beautifully for me Thanks for your work!

Just flashed this, v2. Works great! Thanks for the work.
Edit: Flashed v3. Also awesome. Thanks for the work! I need to learn how to do this.

This looks great. I'll flash it tonight after work. Any chance for all white text/icons in the status bar too?

Copied your SystemUI.apk to my stock ROM... worked perfectly! THANKS!!!

Ah, nice to know it worked.
I was planning on making a stock one soon.
There could still be issues, I'm not sure (don't know how much Nottach did to it his version).

Thanks for this mod, installed just fine over the base rom and mod pack.

Thanx. Installed with Twrp recovery and then on root explorer went to system/app and renamed sustemui.odex to systemui.odex.bak rebooted and and have a black status bar and settings.

[THEME] Matted Blues v1.1b - CWM

It's finally here!!
I've been given the OK from jabbawalkee, the original creator of Matted Blues, to release a port for the Atrix.
I know a lot of people are waiting for this and I'm glad I can finally help them out.
Hope you like it.
Because this theme includes themed apps I suggest it not be installed over GingerBlur. Instead it should be installed over GladiAtrix or a stock deodexed system.
Flashing over GingerBlur will cause double SMS notifications. I believe this is due to the messaging app included in GingerBlur being a different app than what is included in the stock Atrix.
If you are using GingerBlur or a third party SMS app and still want to flash this theme then you should first delete the /app/conversations.apk from the CWM zip.
I think this will keep you from getting double notifications.
Also, if you have problems with gmail FCing, which was reported but I never experienced, then go into manage apps and delete data for gmail.
Download: http://www.multiupload.com/5A6C5UIVGW
Installer includes:
Framework:
-framework-res.apk
-blur-res.apk
App:
-BlurCalendar.apk
-BlurDialer.apk
-BlurPhone.apk
-Browser.apk
-Conversations.apk (SMS)
-Gmail.apk
-Settings.apk
-Vending.apk (Market)
Thank you. I've been waiting for this
Very cool!

THESE icons may work out for the theme.
the file name references greyblur... but they are just image files. save them on your internal/external SD and point ADW or whatever launcher you are using to use these image files for the icon image
the thread I stared for these icons are HERE. However, DO NOT use the CWM file for installation. as that CWM is for greyblur
Been waiting on this 4 a min....Thanks

Did you try turning the animations and transitions to fast with spate parts? That helps for some of the more extensive animations.

Also, you should make this with a brighter blue and perhaps a bright green ... not the forest kind of green like gingerblur (no offense ken) but I'm talking bright neon style...
Again, loving the animations and theme...

[Theme] Ginger Cream - An ICS theme! Update 4-4-2012

This theme is based on IceCreamSandwich! I should start this off by saying I'm a total noob and backup before you flash this!
This theme may have way too much cream so don't complain to me if your phone starts oozing cream and bricks. Any other problems you encounter are not mine and you should consult google or motorola if you can't get your phone working.
I have this theme running on a bootstrapped Joker skinnyrev1 (Props to Joker!). Also works on Rocko 2.1 and skinnyrev1 locked. OK on to what is and what's going to be!
What this has:
Roboto Fonts
Notification Toggles (Icons from CM9)
ICS Notication Icons
Notification Bar
Settings and pop menus inverted thanks to jfdebo779
What needs to be done:
ICS themed dialer
ICS animations
ICS tabs
Update: I do not believe I am going to find that todo list. These are more then likely the final themes!
Warning: the blacked out menus in 0.5.0b and 0.4.91 seem to be causing problems on some photons so back up before you flash these. 0.5.0 and 0.4.9 do not have these issues so backup before you flash these.
Hint: If you don't see the notification toggles delete the system ui apk odex file and reboot the toggles show up (thanks goes to AJC9000). I have done this on my photon in December and have not had any problems
Change Log
0.5.0b
Changed Notification toggles to CM9
Updates to Notification bar icons (These are finished as far as I'm concerned)
0.4.91
jfdebo779 inverted menu popup
jfdebo779 inverted Settings menu
0.4.9
More ICS notification icons
Notification bar touch ups
If you have ADW or launcherpro you can get icon themes and what not on the market.
Credit:
jokersax11
jfdebo779 was awesome enough to do the settings inverse for me!
Based off of motempo's [Any Deodex] Quantum Photon with Notification Toggles v0.11.13.
Got most of the ICS graphics from source but a few I pulled from one of edward.hidalgo's posts.
Galaxy Nexus Bootanimation came from nonione.
You can get the pngs from the zip but I wanted to give the xcf cuz they took way to much time not to share!
Open these with gimp.

I have my phone rooted and locked with joker's skinny rom. I use bootstrip to flash it. I think it would work on on stock but don't know. Just go into recovery, backup and flash it. If you phone doesn't boot then go into recovery and restore your backup.
So I can't figure out how to get the Text on the notifications (I think latest item) to be white... Anyone know what I'm doing wrong. I'm also having lots of problems decompiling and what not.
when I flash this, even if I clear cache and dalvik all I get are FC's from a slew of system apps that keep FCing constantly. Bluetooth Share, Gallery, GMail, com.google.process... etc.
Any ideas would be most appreciated on how to fix.
I really don't know as I have not seen that at all. What roms are you using? Are you unlocked? I'm on a joker skinny locked. Are you seeing this with any other themes? Can you flash the Quantum rom fine?

Clear out the sd card, internal memory or bite the bullet and delete those system apps from the zip. Possibly even preform a full data wipe.

PLUS it always works

Is there any disclaimer to doing this, like if I am running Nottach-Xposed or needing odex or de-oxed systems. Sorry, I don't fully understand all this but I don't want to have to go back to stock because I didn't ask. I love those icons though and would love to get this done.

You can run it with his mod and you should be deodexed if you're not just rename the systemui.odex Files to systemUi.odex.bak and push one of mine that you like
Oh ya you might want to back up your systemUI.apk "just in case" but you shouldn't have any problems bc they are the same besides mine is themed.

I will try it tonight and let you know. Thanks for guiding me.
Edit: worked great! I thought I would really like the full graphic icons but now I'm not so sure. I'll try it for a week and see how I feel
