pogo pin adapter - HTC One X+

Hey,
I am trying to attach a palm wireless charging adapter to my htc one x+ via the pogo pins. I am having difficulty making good contact with them.
Has anyone come up with a good solution? I saw a post by someone who had a pogo pin circuit board. I have no idea where he bought it. I'm really just trying to get a solid connection with the pogo pins so I'm open to any ideas.
Thanks!

Just letting you guys know that I followed this guide for the one x and It worked perfectly. I havent tested nfc, but I did the trick so it should work. I'll post photos later but right now my phone is my only camera.

This is nuts. I love it and would try it if I was more comfortable with soldering/engineering.

Someone tried it for the one xl and it ended up causing issues because of the touch pad
Slithered from my HTC One X+

im planning to make one..but i feel like its too intrusive so ill just look for a nice thin casing and put it in between. does anybody know which pogo pin is negative or positive?

But, most probably you can't get a new main board from ebay. I doubt even HTC has them. Changing a new main board is essentially like changing the whole phone, no?
Hello if your mainboard has gone wrong send it to HTC. The mainboard on my HD packed up I got in touch with HTC UK http://www.htc.com/uk/ (go to support and phone them up) they picked the phone up a week ago Tuesday tested the phone/fitted a new mainboard and sent it back, got it back last Wednesday. Fixed for free, very polite and very helpful

the problem is that my device felt to the ground after 2 months :S Then i got my screen repaired but not by htc since it is not warranty. The device still resets every now and then, so i try to fix it myself... that's why i need these spare parts... so suggestions still welcome!
nobody?
The only possible place to get a new mainboard will be htc.com. Also why a gps cable when the touch has built in gps. jez

I'll get it tomorrow and try it later, let you know if it fits, i know for sure about te connectors, but it is 3cm longer, so should see if you can put the 3cm anywhere under the mainboard.

[Q] HTC HD2 wifi coaxial cable. Where to find one?

Greetings.
Anyone knows where I can find a coaxial cable for the wifi for the HD2?
It's not only nicotine u use, is it. Wat the hell do you mean
If you're thinking of hooking up an external antenna to your HD2, as far as I know you'd have to open up the HD2 and wire on a coax port to the right part of the board, and I've got no idea how to get that working!
If you do manage to do this, let us know how!
Sorry if I've misunderstood your rather strange question!
Did you lose it when disassembling your HD2 or something?
I believe it's just a standard coax cable with u.fl connectors, the problem would be finding one with correct length. eBay has plenty, but they're anywhere from 20 to 50cm - don't really want to try fitting that in a phone...
you can find them at mouser com
i need also one and did some search work
you need i W.FL-2LP-04N2-A-(60) u.fl is a lit bigger.
2lp means two sides connector 04n ticknes 0.83mm, 2 color, (60= lenght)mm.
see also data sheet in table on the side. looks, they sel also just one.
i not alowed to place the link. becourse i am new here.
onlly did not fnd out or the have also female connectors

Yup! Correct!
Thank you all for your replies. I did find one on ebay, from a broken one.
I hope he will sent me the right one. If not I'll try ur suggestion Tristan_1. Thx
I was on same situatio with wifi cable. Searched over net and nothing. Looked to here recommended shop too. Price for shpping to europe is 10 times bigger than cable itself.
But i finded on ebay cables to Touch Daimond. On pics they looks same like on hd2. I asked here on touch forum lengts for both cables. They are SAME with hd2 cables. Only difference is that hd2 uses for gps white one' touch black. I opened more 10 hd2 (all from europe). Abot t-mobile i cant say anything.
On ebay i finded many sellers with possible search string: OEM AERIAL ANTENNA WIRE RECEPTION FOR HTC TOUCH DIAMOND
Usually after two week i can finally confirm are these touch diamond cables right ones for hd2 too.

Tristan, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I have been scouring the internet looking for this part and had no idea what to look for so thank you so much for your post. I purchased that part and hopefully I can report back that my phone works again!
.d2onderdelen .nl
i find out, that they have them also. and they sel them in pares. also other part of the hd2
Finally i can CONFIRM that YES wifi/bluetooth antenna coaxial cable is same what used on HTC HD2 (can confirm only EU model). About T-Mobile i cant say.
But GPS cable wich one sell with wifi/bluetooth cable dont fit. Its littlebit longer but short for using on GPS.
This one wich i bought dont had so quality on connectors side (not for many many times connect/disconnect) like original. Yes it was cheap too. But i tested work and signal and there was no loss.
Hope helped now many users who cant find replacment for wifi / bluetooth coaxial cable.
Just try on ebay string OEM AERIAL ANTENNA WIRE RECEPTION FOR HTC TOUCH DIAMOND or just try find spare parts for Touch Diamond. I itself used seller named gsm4world.

It true that it is a bit hard to read dutch, but easy to find the right phone, and were you have to look for (onderdelen) that are the inner part of the phone
I find out that the coaxial cable are out of the store on the moment. i can not find them Anny more.

For Coaxial try also parts4repair.com and search for bluetooth antenna and not for wifi (which are the same anyway).
For me the solution of using coaxial from Diamond did'nt work.
Hope this will...

[Q] Broken pin on USB Need Solder Location On Board

Hello , When I first Purchased my Evo 3D, I noticed that any usb cable attached to it would never fit snug it always had movement like wiggled alot. I should have exchanged it but didn;t think it would eventually lead to serious damage until now, well, somehow the first pin on the right broke off and checking online with research it apparently is the +5 of the usb. Which basically screwed me.
I don't have much of an issue with no longer having the usb data sync ability since I can just use a micro SD adapter, and I have an External Battery Charger from Radio shack which helps because I can just charge the batteries with that and insert in my evo3d But the issue I have now is I realize i rely on the 4G tethering ability which i use constantly and it has become a pain to have to run and switch over batteries so my wifi tethering can maintain my computers online.,
Anyway so noticed a few evo 4g mods online where the person would solder two wires one to the negative and other to the 5v positive where the usb is located and then shape the wires nicely and make a custom usb hole somewhere else on the phone and eventually have a usb charging ability similar to one of the attached pictures ( for evo 4g of course not for the 3d)
So anyway i would like to try something similar where i can just locate some solid solder points on the phone and wire up two 5v and ground wires and relocate a custom usb slot somewhere else on the phone, Below is also some zoom closeups of the evo 3d board so my question is any advice to where I can solder the 5v and ground to, I am clueless to where and what points i should try the underside of the usb slot is all metal so seems like not able to solder there maybe on one of the little chips or something perhaps
,, thanks for any help
in reference to the attached images:
the one with the 5v writing is for an Evo 4g Not 3d But Im putting this picture i found online just to give a similar idea of what i need to find on the 3d
the one with the wired shell mod us just Another photo online of what I want to do but once again need the solder points
the other two are the best closeup pictures I could find of the 3d which maybe someone can just point out to me the locations by looking at it, I will take clear zoomed in photos if needed when I have access to a camera at home
thanks anyone for your help!
Why don't you just take it to Sprint and have them repair it? They'll do it for free.
Not from I heard. They charge 100 to fix it. And not even sure they would give me a loaner phone in the meantime. Also , I went into RADIOSHACK and showed and.spoke to one of the reps and he.told me.I wouldhave to pay unless I had their extended warrantee.. I noticed a resistor like chip above.and in front of where the 5v pin is.I wonder if I can solder on that

Call sprint and talk to a supervisor. They will send you a new phone or set up repair for free. Call and hang up twice, then call again to get sent directly to a supervisor.
Unfortunately me being a tinkerer ended up breaking off the ground pin and was not able to get serviced , even tried the supervisor and no go, I tried another radioshack and sprint store and of course they noticed it was opened so screwed me out...
anyway,, I taken some fair quality images of the board surface. maybe a +5v location can be pointed out from the images? thanks again

Instead of making a new thread, I figured I would add to this... I too am trying to mod mine with inductive charging, unfortunately my hands are a little too shaky to solder to the point that I discovered to be continuous with the +5v on the usb port.
I can't really find a clear picture of the PCB anywhere otherwise I would show you, but its about a centimeter or two down from the top left when you open your phone, run your multimeter through those points and you'll find it.
I guess I came here looking for another point..

Broken Charger!

So I woke up this morning to find that my charger is broken! The part that plugs into the phone is completely bent, and I can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know if the warranty from Verizon or HTC will cover the charger? It's still under the 1 year. Any help would be appreciated.
I don't think vzw covers the cables under warranty, but you should at least call.
If they don't help you out, try this:

In post 10, below, feralicious provides a link to the proper 12-pin USB cable (the Flyer and the Rezound have the same connectors).
It's white but it works.

You can use a standard USB to micro USB cable.
I know any USB cable will work, that's what I'm using for right now, but they don't fit as snug as the cable that actually came with the phone. The normal USB cables feel too loose and wiggle around too much for my liking.
Sent from my HTC Rezound
The link is there to order a new one then, I doubt Verizon will replace it for free.
Yeah, that one is just a normal USB one. I contacted htc directly and I think they might replace it. Hopefully anyway..

Odd result: a standard USB to micro USB cable from monoprice doesn't actually charge my phone even though the phone claims to be charging AC, the HTC USB cable does.
Anyone else notice anything like this?
Very odd, I'm using a standard charger to charge my phone for the time being and it charges fine. It just doesn't feel secure enough is all. It is an HTC branded charger though. Don't know if that makes a difference.

This thread is about the OEM charge cables. In case you need to order one. The one linked at the bottom of post #21. The DC T500 is the part number. Most places only have it in white though.

This one fits snug with that snap in you get from the original one. I bought two of them and they work great. I just wish they were black.

Thank you everyone for your help. I called Verizon and they were willing to replace it but they don't even have the ability to order the same cable that came with the phone, they only had standard cables. So I actually ended up calling HTC customer service directly, and they sent a new charger & cable no questions asked! They didn't even require me to send the broken one back to them. Thinking I will be calling them first thing with any problems I have from now on!

One X speaker/ charging dock?

Does anyone know yet if this:
http://www.clove.co.uk/htc-one-x-cr-s650-desktop-cradle-with-speakers-99h10722-00
will work with the X+?
No, but the one for the AT&T one X should work perfectly IIRC.
"Put AT&T's One X and One X+ side-by-side, and other than the color difference you'd be hard-pressed to tell them apart. The carrier's logo is slightly different, but that's about it -- even the docking pins in the back line up perfectly."
I'm not allowed to post links yet, if you want the source, just google the above quote in quotes.

Sorry, but it works for me..
Using ARHD, but worked with stocked rom either..
Phone is beeing charged..
Landscape Rosie mod for custom rom now flips the screen also in dock..
Anyone tried any docks with the AT&T HOX+? I'm looking to replace my crappy old alarm clock and would prefer something that doesn't use the micro USB, but I've been unable to find anything. The HTC CR s650 seems to only work with the international HOX+, correct?
Doesn't work with one x+
I had the HTC One x and bought the speaker cradle from their website links, when my one x broke I got a one X+ as I thought all the accessories would work, physically they're identical, all cases work, but the dock doesn't work, it charges the phone but doesn't play audio.
There's no good reason for this, as the phones are virtually identical save for a few internal differences.
Rooted International HOX+ with Custom ViperX 1.0.1 ROM shows now dockmode, when connected to cradle CRS650 and works perfectly using all benefits from the cradle (charging and speakers)..
I had a One X (original dual core version) and it DOES NOT FIT the CR650 dock 100%. if you wiggle it around it will work for a second or so, but the international version and the AT&T version of the original One X have a slightly different POGO layout. Assuming the AT&T X+ has that same layout as the original AT&T One X, it wont fit. When I looked at my old One X with my AT&T One X+, the pogo pins look like they are in the exact same spot.
REF:

Hi there,
just for your information: I have the CR S650 and the international HOX+ here. Charging and speakers work as they should, but theres no dedicated dock mode in terms of software. The HOX+ will rotate when lying in the dock, but the dock app is missing. If you need it back, you have to flash a custom ROM like InsertCoin...

No need to flash custom ROM. For dock mode on stock ROM just install two applications: DockMode.apk and HTC_Dock_Screen.apk. That is all. Tested on HOX + international with ROM 1.17.401.1.
CR-S650 modification for AT&T HOX+
After seeing someone mod the CR-S650 to fit the AT&T HOX, I ordered the dock and modified it to work with the HOX+. It was actually a lot easier than I thought because the POGO pins are only shifted over 1 space. So I took it apart, drilled a hole one space over and moved the entire POGO board over 1 slot. Now I have a working CR-S660 for my AT&T HOX+!
Moving the POGO pins over 1 slot lines up w/ the phone horizontally, but it's still a bit off vertically. I had to shave off the two small plastic tabs on the botton of the dock. This most likely means that I won't be able to use a case w/ the phone, but still very happy to have a working dock w/ POGO pins.

Interesting...so HTC used a different polycarbonat housing for the ATT Hox+? Why did they do such a thing? Are there also different accessoires like car holder and so on which are using the POGO pins?

So it plays audio or not ? I do not care about dock mode, i just want it to work as alarm clock. I'm talking about HOX+ black international version with red buttons and tegra3.
?
It does play audio via music player and of course system sounds (ringtone, sms, alarm...), but no loudspeaker during calls. But thats more a problem of the jelly bean update from HTC since it worked with ICS. And i have the One X+ you described, international version.
