Nice tool
Just one comment regarding all AOSP based roms
from Lloir and myself which use the BLADE kernel
You dont need to do this for those roms!
The rom is taking care that the kernel modules are
in the correct location if required using an init.d script
But it will do no harm cause we are "smart" enough do detect it

cool, im guessing you're speaking of modules injector??
i was wondering why we aren't using something like that on the HOX,
im guessing you either have a bigger boot partition or that module's sizes are really small?
worst come to worst... this still have a logging feature which will come in handy...
and for the record, ill update and make it more usable

The modules are included in the boot image in /lib/modules
and synced with /system/lib/modules on boot if required
Using xz compression for the kernel makes it small enough
So e.g. BLADE kernel has about 4.4mb including everything

Help! I'm getting "Invalid Modules" when trying to flash kernel. This is what I did: unzipped boot.img and modules folder from elemental kernel, put those them in the respective folders under one x one click folder, ran the one click exe as administrator (win7), chose the kernel img and modules zip, it seems to run for a second and then the invalid modules and operation terminated. Obviously I'm not doing it correctly with the modules zip process.

V4.31.44.12
v4.32.44.12 applied with theme from he_stheone64.
Important note:
I create the Desire Series together with freak, and also got a lot of help from many technical experts, so, please thank them as well if you like the build.
This thread is for discussing the SD builds only.
All the releases please check: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=962600.
Please discuss the NAND builds at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913597&page=457
Before flash or install new builds:
1. DON'T expect it will work out of box.
2. DON'T expect it will be as light and fast as Gingerbread.
3. DON'T expect that some legacy problem will disappear
4. Reboot your phone at lease twice after flashing or installing, after 1st boot into setting screen, long press the right button to recall the boot menu, reboot. Can not use /Update_DL method to install app before 3rd reboot.
5. For this version, due to the base has been changed throughly, can not use previous data.img or ext4, remove existing data.img and set data_img=1 to let system generate one for you, or set format_ext4=1 to format your ext4 if you are using ext4
6. DON'T set any config for 1st installation except data_img=1(for data.img) or format_ext4=1(for ext4 user). if your have tmous phone, no need the config.txt.
7. For SD or magldr, if 1st installation failed, must delete the system.ext2 file under /Desire_DL to let system convert it again.
8. Use Windows notepad create a file named config.txt, save it under /Desire_DL, only need to put the necessary config inside it, say:
data_img=1
Important Release Note
This build is another endeavor by freak and me to improve the performance of our build, now, besides our existing optimization methods: squashfs, ext4, etc, this build has been added in the following features to improve it performance furthermore:
1. AUFS + SquashFS.
this is the 1st android version that can support the aufs+squashfs, we
even worked with the author of aufs to make it usable to android.
a lot of innovations within this build from the technical perspective,
for users, the benefit of it are:
a. high performance
b. despite of squashfs is used to reduce the size of file system, user
still be able to change any file directly with the power of aufs.
c. a lot of frequent accessed files are squashed and loaded into ram
to improve the performance.
2. RE-Odexed.
there flood a lot of misleading messages on xda of odexed, same as
squashfs. Odex can actually improve system performance, and at the
same time, reduce the whole system's size(because the odex is
optimized dex), and odex build has less chance of system crash that
lead to wipe the davlik-cache. an odex build doest not generate the
davlik-cache which is odexed.
3. Re-Engineering Sense:
All the apps and framework were re-compiled and reduced the size to get the lowest RAM consuming and Highest performance.
4. Merged DesireZ and DesireHD into one.
Merged the advantage features from both DesireZ and DesireHD into one build.
Please refer to this thread for download and detail info of v5.xx

How to config SuperInit v4.4(advance user)
Bugfix and enhancement
Upgrade to v4.32.45.13 and v4.31.45.13 (yes, we upgrade the SuperInit and kernel together.)
How to ask for help:
1. First, make sure you ask at the proper place, this thread is only for ask the question related to the NAND, please ask questions related to SD or MAGLDR at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881937
2. Please indicate the following information when asking for help:
a. your phone modal: EU or TMOUS modal.
b. your loading mode: NAND, SD or MAGLDR
c. Please post the content of init.log(this file is on the root of your sdcard).
3. Please be patient and polite.
4. We(myself and freak) will only answer question that follows the above rules, thanks!!!
Naming convention
1. the 1st digit is for the build base, say DesireZ v4.xxx, is for the v4.0 base which based on the HTC RUU 1.85.
2. the 2nd field is for the subversion, normally, x.0 means the first relase which should based on a totally new base, and from x.0 till x.3, there will be a lot fix and testing, if you want a stable version, DON'T use it, and the build will be stabilized after x.4.
3. the 3rd field is for the init version, currently, our init is at v42, which is also not a stable version.
4. the 4th field will be used for the kernel, currently, freak is working on it, and will have the 1st kernel soon.

Yes, I removed the twitter and some other applications, if needed, I can put the pkg here, you just put it under /system/app.

I will be visiting this forum often to see the progresses of this build.

thanks,
this is where it all starts, ppl modding and customizing there roms
this is what make this community great
thanks, any screen?
What is the purpose of these things?
Code:
Cifs/Tun modules (invoke using insmod)
Modified to allow insecure adb with stock kernel
CIFS modules are meant for shared folder support in Windows.
TUN modules are meant for VPN support
Insecure ADB is basically ADB where you have root rights by default. It's mainly thought for development purposes.

NVM, I got them, thanks anyways.
Quick Q, I have made a theme, how do I turn it into an IMG, or how do I install it? Sorry for the n00b q's, new to android!
install a theme from UOT using clockwork .
As for this IMG, ive removed most of the theme just to have a sense bar/icons. Will work on a custom theme later.
I will have time tonight to package this all up into a zip file to flash from clockwork. I am also going to try package the kernel into the zip.
I've just installed Blagus' kernel on this system image. All is well so far
because I am struggling getting the .zip working in clockwork V0.02 will be a system.img again, because I am much happier with the appearance and it has a few more things tweaked on it I want it out there now, not the current one.
After V0.02 there will be no more updates as system.img
Hmm, not sure what I'm doing wrong. Fastboot works, I've flashed a few roms and recovery works but I keep getting the same error with 'fastboot flash system.img'
unknown partition 'system.img'
error: cannot determine image filename for 'system.img'
I downloaded and extracted system.img from the .rar to same directory as fastboot.exe, as with all the others roms/recovery tool.
EDIT: May have found my answer. Is it necessary to wipe the existing system via fastboot (fastboot erase system) before flashing this system image?

I am not responsible if you break your Flyer by flashing this ROM!
What you need:
If you come from Gingerbread, you have to follow this guide before you flash FlyHoney ROM, otherwise your device won't boot! Installing Honeycomb on your Flyer - the complete guidehttp://android.modaco.com/topic/345950-installing-honeycomb-on-your-flyer-the-complete-guide/
Installation:
Download FlyHoney ROM and place the zip on your SD card
Boot the device in recovery by holding vol-down + power
Optional: Go to backups and restore and perform a backup
Choose the option "wipe data/factory reset" and confirm
Then choose the option "install zip from sdcard", then "choose zip from sdcard" and select the FlyHoney ROM zip file and confirm
After flashing, reboot your device
IMPORTANT:
If you don't want to have wifi issues and you want to get my custom scripts (speed scripts, ram optimizations, zipalign on boot) and the mail widget working, then you have to flash the boot.img from the ROM zip after you flashed the ROM:
After you flashed the ROM, boot in fastboot mode (adb reboot bootloader)
extract the boot.img from the ROM zip to the folder where you have the fastboot.exe file
Open cmd and switch to that location (where the fastboot file is)
Type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" (without "") and press enter. Then you're fine and you can enjoy the rom

thanks man, but, the link doesn't work......
oooops... now it's working! tell me something please: it needs same procedure like Paul posted, or just place the zip on SD and flash via recovery???
If you did everything from pauls guide, then you can just put it on your sdcard, boot in recovery, wipe and install.
But you have to follow pauls guide first
hi,
Does it work for WIFI flyer?
It is not tested yet.
But I recommend to read to whole guide from paul (linked in first post).

WiFi only user have to follow the WHOLE guide too. Wifi only devices also have a radio rom

I see it... and will also test it.
I'm assuming that circular battery percentage does not belong to stock Honeycomb?
No
But i find it much better than the boring htc one (without %)..
Ah and I also forgot to mention that I also added phone functionality
(Added it now to the OP)
can you mirror the little files on paul thread? filesonic is making me wait a lot of time to download the files
Sorry I don't have time for that now, it's late in Switzerland and I got to work tomorrow.
I maybe gonna do it tomorrow evening.
1) BT Headset is really working on this ROM? when i enabled it in the build.prop on the stock HC it wont connect (well it will connect as a headset but will immediately disconnect). Do you have it fuly working in this ROM?
2) Phone is not really working on HC so you can remove it.

[Guide] Reodexing your SGS3

This guide is for reodexing your SGS3, such as UltimaROM, Omega, Foxhound, CodecROM, _null, Sotmax and others (I'm just listing off the top off my head).
It's not terribly tough and 100% of the credit belongs to rujelus22 for his amazing work on his AIO tool. This guide is just for deodexing/odexing, but you can use that tool for other things.
Firstly, why would you want to odex your ROM?
Well, this will help you understand more:
http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-tv-2/pro-tip-number-5-why-you-should-odex-and-deodex-xda-tv/
It's very useful and saves on battery life and makes the phone slightly more responsive.
Consider:
When you have downloaded and installed your chosen ROM you should odex it back up for the speed and agility odexing affords you. However you should ONLY do this after you are happy with your setup. I.E., install any mods you wanted and then Odex your phone.
If you want to add mods later, say, perhaps, your developer releases a new mod, or patch for your ROM you will NEED to Deodex the ROM before applying a patch or new mod. This is important. Please do not pester your dev about an error if you have not done this.
In my opinion, it can take maybe 30 minutes to Deodex, apply your mods/patch, and then Reodex using this tool, but the benefits are worth it.
You should also perform these actions AFTER a successful boot. You should flash the ROM. Boot. skip the setup pages and get to the homepage, then do this odexing.
How to do it:
Firstly, head off over to Rujelus22's AIO script thread and download it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955745
Don't forget to click "Thanks"
Make sure you also download these the Android-SDK and the Java Development kit. The SDK is necessary for the Deodexing, I believe, in case you want to do that later:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33268059&postcount=2
After that, extract the AIO script somewhere useful where you can find it again and run the "Start_AIO.bat" file. This will set up some folders in the directory you extracted to and then open the start page

After this make sure your phone is plugged into you computer and that USB Debugging mode is on in the Developers Options. ALSO, you must have an "Insecure Kernel" such as any custom kernel (Siyah, Perseus, Boeffla) or Wanam/zoot1's repacked stock kernel.
If you do not have an Insecure Kernel head off to Chainfire's adbd Insecure thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1687590
You might considering buying it on Google Play, if you like, but there is a free XDA version.
After you are plugged in, on USB debugging and have an Insecure Kernel, load the AIO script and choose option "22" which reads "Odex the ROM on your phone". You will be given the opportunity to take a nandroid backup at this point.
Sit back and let it do it's thing. It will take about 10 minutes, and it will seem to hang on the clean up bit. Fear not, because it IS doing something. Your phone will automatically reboot when it has finished.
You're done! Once you have done that little bit of setting up... in future it is as easy as opening the script, hitting 22 and sitting back.
Notes/FAQ:
Sometimes it can constantly loop around the first page as though it is doing a first run. To solve this, go into "AIO_FOLDER/tools/Settings/" and create a new .txt file called "firstrun". Make the contents of the file 1. Just "1" and nothing else.
Sometimes it can say that you don't have remount access and the Odex option will not show. Similar to the point above, go into "AIO_FOLDER/tools/Settings/" and make a .txt file called "remount" and place a single 1 in the folder.
Deodexing can take some time. Be patient.
Can any ROM be Odexed this way, such as CyanogenMod, for example?
I think so, yes. As long as the script can find the bootclasspath!

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I've always stuck with Odexed ROMs for all the reasons that Adam discussed in the video, so I'd be very pleased if I could Odex CM. Best of both worlds.
When i select 99 and 4 and 2 the script closes...:/
Also all odexing options are greyed out...i followed the instructions just fine, any help?

Woot woot!
Working like a charm now,thanks!
Maybe you should add this to the op?
I still can't select 99->4->2 but now odexing options are available!
Nice tut, I'm a big fan of reodexing since I first tried it,
I'm kind of new to this things and have to questions;
1.- First specifically to UltimaROM, does it have to be odex ?
2.- When it says I should do it after I have the Rom as I want it, it does not interfere with installing apps right?

You do not have to odex if you don't want to, but I personally recommend it.
And installing apps from the Play Store will be 100% fine on an odex'd ROM.
However, ANY mod that changes a system app is likely to interfer. In this case you can deodex, then flash the mod, then reodex (optional).
This is mainly for those that flash, then don't mod. However modding is not impossible and it's worth the extra 10 minutes to do this.
I have installed everything according to the tutorial. But in the cmd window..its written Your Kernel does not support this feature [adb remount]
I am using the perseus Kernel. I insecured the kernel using "adb insecure" from chainfire. I think it was not needed but i did it when nothing was working. It still does not work
any help?
P.S. debugging is enabled
EDIT : SOLVED -------> USING THIS http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39378436&postcount=164
Dang it, I feel like an idiot. I cannot figure out how to setup the variable path from the instructions. Do I need to make a new one in both system and user, or do I edit one that is already there?
What do I name them?
I tried to reodex UltimaRom v11 and had to modify the script too (set remountavlible=yes) in order to see option 22 so you might want to write that in the OP Kryten, it could prevent the question from being asked over and over
Maybe it is specific to some roms ?
I do everything as I should, but after I press any button after it says "Press any key to continue" at the screen with the snake head (Or whatever that is),it will give me an empty command prompt. No menu,no nothing.Any ideas guys? It's really starting to get on my nerves...
How to know if my phone was odexed?
After running script it says:
The phone rebooted, but there is no *odex files in System/App. Strange..
Hey there! Just want to confirm something.. It is said in the OP that we have to "deodex" to flash a new mod or patch. Is a ROM upgrade considered a patch? Do I have to deodex first to flash a new ROM version? Or it is safe to just flash the new ROM version while I'm still odexed and just re-odex after upgrading the ROM?
Thanks!
I have an odex folder on my internal SD card. Folder size is almost 500mb. Can I delete this folder.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
I can't seem to make it work.. It is always saying it can't find the Android SDK (look at the attached photo), but I've already installed everything. Java and Android SDK. What could be the problem? Both Java and SDK are installed in C:/

[APP] Flash Image GUI - Flash Kernels and Recoveries from normal Android mode!

Credits:
birbeck for the usual random java guidance, slushpupie for his previous java guidance, dodgejcr for extreme amounts of testing, and one_love_420 and shift for some great graphics!
testers: JT-, couga6442, happytweak and many others I might have forgot in the furry of three days I built the initial app from scratch.!
Thanks to SDX
Works with HTC Unlock Method (And s-off methods):
Tested after using htcdev.com's bootloader unlock method.
Please see the guides at the bottom of this post!
Background:
flash_image (bmlwrite) is an extremely useful utility for flashing custom kernels, boot logos (so far ONLY Samsung devices) and recoveries. This binary has made it possible to easily flash all these items and is used almost everywhere behind the scenes (i.e. in custom recoveries, packaged into a kernel /sbin directoy, included in custom ROMs, etc).
Description:
This android application, FlashImageGUI, is basically a GUI interface for the linux binary, flash_image provided by google in AOSP for loading custom kernels and recovery images onto the phone.
This app allows the flashing of kernels and custom recovery images in normal android mode!
Current Device Support:
Full Kernel, Logo and Recovery flashing: Samsung Moment, Transform, Intercept and Acclaim - the s3c6410 series of devices
Full Kernel (Anykernel and boot.img) Flashing and Recovery (zip file or image) flashing: T-Mobile HTC One, Sprint HTC One, HTC EVO 4G LTE, One S, EVO 3D CDMA and GSM, One XL, Droid DNA, Amaze, Vivid/Holiday, EVO 4G, EVO Shift, Google Nexus 4, Google Nexus 10, Google Nexus 7, Samsung Google Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S/Nexus S 4G & LG Optimus
Full Kernel (zImage) Flashing: Samsung Epic
Check application version for updates
Future Support:
Will continue to test kernels as they are released to ensure compatibility!
Install Directions:
Install process is the same as any other .apk. Download to computer and adb push or mount sdcard on computer and copy over or download directly to the phone. Use any file manager, adb, connectbot/terminal emulator to install.
My preferred method, maybe a bit technical: ./adb install c:\downloads\FlashImageGUI.apk
Download Locations
Market (99 cents!): Flash Image GUI
Release version (free): Flash Image GUI
Contact:
Any questions, comments, concerns, or issues, please post in this thread or send me an email! Thanks for all the help and support!
FAQ:
Q: Will this app support a marketplace to pick and chose kernels from?
A: No.
Q: Can I flash nandroid kernel backups?
A: Yes. Rename the specific image to boot.img and select from inside of Flash Image GUI. **Make sure to also load the associated modules or WiFi might stop working!

Feedback:
Please post any helpful feedback. I'm always looking to improve the application!
HTC Unlock - User Guides for Flash Image GUI!!
HTC Unlock - Users Guide for ROMs with a Kernel (boot.img file):
1) Unlock using the HTC method and gain root access.
2) Load this application, Flash Image GUI, onto the device, either through the Market or the link provided in this OP.
3) Download ROM .zip file to the sdcard on the device.
4) Open up Flash Image GUI, select Browse and select the ROM .zip file, downloaded to /sdcard in the previous step.
5) Flash Image GUI will provide a warning, reminding that the ROM .zip file will *need* to be flashed in the custom recovery afterward.
6) Flash Image GUI will index the full ROM .zip file searching for the kernel and kernel modules. Once located, the Flash Image button should be enabled.
7) Select the Flash Image button and Flash Image GUI will load the kernel modules and kernel from inside the ROM zip file.
8) Select reboot recovery.
9) Inside the custom recovery, wipe data as ROM requires and load/flash the ROM zip file.
10) Reboot to normal Android mode and all should work including WiFi!
HTC Unlock - Users Guide for flashing ONLY a Kernel (zip file):
1) Unlock using the HTC method and gain root access.
2) Make sure the selected Kernel is compatible with the currently loaded ROM. If not, this will result in a lot of frustration!!! See troubleshooting steps below.
3) Download kernel zip file to /sdcard.
4) Open Flash Image GUI, browse and select kernel zip file, downloaded/loaded to sdcard in previous step.
5) Flash Image GUI will validate the kernel zip file is contains the minimum required files
6) Select the Flash Image button and Flash Image GUI will load the kernel and the kernel modules from the source kernel zip file.
7) Reboot
Troubleshooting after Rebooting:
First step, when experiencing issues flashing is to RE FLASH the files again. Many times, re flashing again will clear up any issues. If not, see the issues/solutions below.
Issue #1: If the device hangs or reboots while on the splash screen, the kernel itself or the ramdisk packaged in the kernel is NOT compatible with your device!!!
Solution for #1: Have to boot into fastboot (or directly into the custom recovery) and load the custom recovery to flash a known good kernel or restore a previously known good nandroid backup. Command: fastboot boot c:\downloads\cwm-recovery.img
Issue #2: If the device hangs or reboots while on the boot animation, the ROM is likely NOT compatible with the kernel!!!
Solution for #2: Have to boot into fastboot and load the custom recovery to flash a known good ROM/kernel combination either from a zip file or restore from a nandroid backup.
From what I can see on the market this app doesn't currently support the T-mobile branded htc one. Can you confirm compatibility?

Good question. The issue is related to timing around Google Play's application update release process.
Google Play takes a few hours to "process" the update before it makes it available. I published about an hour ago so Google Play should make the version available within the next hour or two.
