Firstly i would like to thank the devs for this great rom !!
i like this rom alot but im experiencing some problems..i searched alot for some answers but couldn't find any...so i posted here
the problems which i am having are..
cm9 version: the phone is not reading my external sd card(gallery/music player..etc..data is not showing up) ..but when i connect it to my pc..i see that all the data is there !
cm10 version: i cant access the paranoid settings..it force closes everytime !!
is anyone else having the same problem ?? and does anyone know a fix??

have you checked to make sure the rom has flashed properly.. and that you have fixed permissions.. and when you did a full wipe (which you need to do to flash paranoid).. did you do factor/data wipe.. format system.. cache.. delvik cache.. then flashed the rom? what recovery are you using? are you s-on or s-off...?

first of all..yes i did....but its fixed now...turned out sportsstar89 missed out some files in his rom.....so i did a lot of research and downloaded the files and fixed it..will soon post a link !

hello everyone I'm asking about the beautiful and lovely rom about purness rom. In a version of 11 there isn't any problem about this. For example when Im install from play store that foursquare I see the package is invalid. When Im used purness 11 I dont see any error message about that. When look into the main survey about the rom page. Someone has got a problem too. One memeber explain to problem about dalvin cache full but I dont understand to use it. I reinstall the rom and in cmw resign about dalvin cache and fix permission but I cant solved it. How can I solved the problem.Its a rom problem or a diffent solution to solve this. Thank for help for everone right now.

Hello. I just had the same problem and all you need to do is boot into recovery (cwm) go to advanced and Wipe Dalvik Cache. This just helped to me. Hope this helps.

I was inverstigated last night and I read you flash 587 ftf then install purness 13 and I have a version of 431 because Im from turkey and not offiical update has come. All the problem is this ??? but one time When I install gmail.apk I see that message one time and I dalvin cache wipe batterry and fix permission I install that no problem. Is İt avaible for full hard format mayde cache from purness 13 I think maybe again the problem issue. The factory format is all deleted everything or install from a new rom this a diffent hard format We do it. Are there any explain about that how to??
Hi, i have a issue with the ROM JoelDroid S2 1.4, i didn't change the kernel, i keep the last siyah inside the rom
Everything works with v1.3 of JoelDroid S2.
When i boot, i have the error crash android.process.acore.
I tried to wipe sd, but still have this issue
Someone have this error or already test this rom ?

reboot to recovery and do a ' wipe data/factory reset' then in advance menu do ' Fixpermissions' then reboot ur phone and see

well then the issue might be with the rom or the dwnld'ed zip file etc.
try re-dwnld'ng the rom from a diff link and see, also u can try someother custom rom and see

I load again the v 1.3, i think the issue is from the rom, i will wait the dev, fix that

so im running on speed rom 8.0 and everything is going fine but the audio is not working and i tried to look for any answers but nothing is working therefore im looking to see if anyone can help. all the other threads i found had no answer maybe i didnt look hard enough but this is frustrating so if anyone can help i would be really glad.

have you considered doing a full wipe and flashing the rom again, and fixing permissions or flashing a different rom to see if the audio works?

when i flash a different rom the audio does work is there anyway i can fix it on this custom rom

if the audio worked on one rom and not another, then the system files arent flashing properly.. what recovery are you using.. and like i said have you tried flashing the rom over.. and if so what steps do you take when doing a "full wipe" to flash the rom?

im using 4ext and what i do is wipe dalvik cache and i did a factory reset then i installed the rom again

could it be the kernel because i have to flash the faux kernel123 so the phone can start up

okay, ill say this once again.. *then i think ill add it to my signature*... if you take the proper steps to flash a rom.. make sure that rom is working properly before you do any additional mods to the rom and then say something like the rom is broken or something isn't working../ and also what recovery are you using.. because if your s-on and using any other recovery other than 4EXT your kernel might not flash properly...

im using 4ext and s-on i felt like everything is correct also when i see videos its fastforward and ive seen other threads and people been saying the same thing so im not the only one.
try flashing speed rom 7.8 by doing the following...
wipe data/factory
format system
wipe cache partition
wipe delvik cache partition
flash rom
wipe delvik cache
boot rom
sit and wait till screen off and boot back into recovery
fix permissions and wipe delvik cache one more time
enjoy rom... do nandroid backup before applying all tweaks
make sure smart flash in 4ext is enabled-ed

hmm try downloading speed rom again.. maybe the files corrupt maybe or somethings missing from it.. or you know what just download a different rom.. since data got fixed in cm10 there's alot of new roms based off of cm10.. my fav roms are speed/fourthbar/cm10

i just downloaded fourth bar and its great i love it and everything is working fine i just want to give you a big thanks for everything and for helping me :good:
it's no problem man, i look out for people having issues that i might have had before, or that i already read about somewhere... and yes fourthbar is one of my fav rom's for the amaze so far since its built on cm9 .. but its cool that everythings working once again.. don't forget to make nandroid backups after you flash a rom successfully and before you try and flash another rom
hi guys, today i installed walkman style 4.0 by nachospeicys , and the rom had CWM recovery.. WTF?
any ideas why this happend.. i did this when installing rom:
wipe data
wipe cache
format system
wipe dalvik cache
flash rom
?? maybe i did something rom, tell me.

It´s a Known Bug for this rom its anounced in the OP. "ROM may magically comes with CWM recovery!

so what's the logic explanation
hi .. im new (noob)
i installed the neat ROM by sales ..
and i couldnt find a thread that explains how to flash mods (that i downloaded from (NEAT ROM)
i download the zip file and tried to install them from recovery (install from zip file)
and when i reboot .. it stucks at the (samsung logo) .. so it wont load until i recover my backup ..
i also tried flashing the MODS after wiping but nothing worked ..
thnx and sorry for my bad language

Go to recovery and in advanced wipe your dalvik cache... Then wipe your data and cache and reboot. I hope dis will solve your problem..

so what i did ..
1. wipe dalvik
2. wipe data - reset factory
3. wipe cache
4. install (The MOD zip file)
5. reboot
and after rebooting .. still the same problem .. there is no system ... only the (SAMSUNG LOGO)
What mod did you flash. Most work just by flashing mod then reboot. I've never had to wipe anything when flashing a mod in neat ROM. Do you have other mods installed that could conflict with the mod you was flashing? Try clean install of ROM . full format of system data and cache then flash neat rom and try again. All mods are tested well and work.

the ROM was the lite one ..
UHLPS_NeatRom_Lite_v3.0.1_Themed+jkay14.1+vert4.6.3+CallRec+NoSmsMms
the mods i tried with :
XWLPY_S3_Mods_v1.3
XWLSW_Blue_Ginger_Plus_Theme
LSW_churapa_SGS4_Stock_23Toggles_VR_BTK
and they didnt work ..
Go with just plain neat ROM lite. Then try them mods.also do mix bases . if you have say neatrom lite lsw flash lsw mods.
^^^I guess that was meant to say "don't mix bases" no lsw mods on lsn etc

thanks guys .. i dont know what u mean with dont mix bases (i didnt try all the mods in one time) .. i tried the first one it didnt work then i restore the backup and tried the second ... and so on ..
anyway thanks for ur helping and i removed it and installed an original JB
