I am from india.me using here new phone celkon a97i recently i got one simple problem.my phone have 2 memory's.first memory inbuilt (2gb) another one sd card(we can expand up to 32 gb).what is problem is "i installed so many applications in my phone.my phone memory 2gb full then i try to install application.my phone is saying memory full.in my sd card i have a lot of space.how can i solve this plz help me"
Download an app called app2sd or link2sd. They will transfer apps from phone memory to sd card.
U can't actually move ur apps to mmc. A97i have phones internal memory(785mb) and usb storage(2.02gb) inbuilt.App2sd will only move apps from phone memory to usb storage which is inbuilt 2gb but not to external sd card. U can partition ur external mmc only after rooting.
Its the problem of ics os

If you dont have any memory card inserted abd u try to move apps from phone memory to sd card does it move app to internal phone memory that is the 16gb memory or does it give u an error - not enough memory available
Hi Can anyone please check this on his phone.
I read that apps in samsung galaxy s 2 are not moved to sd card but to internal phone memory that is the 16gb phone memory which is listed as sd card in file explorer.
So i presume that having no external sd card one can still move apps from phone memory to sd card (which is acutally the internal 16gb memory) - am i correct or not?
Can someone check this on his phone please - since i want to know whether there is a problem with my phone or not.

Yer you can, the 16gb phone memory is treated as an sd card and so apps2sd would move it to that bit of memory. Not sure wether you can move it from there to an external sd though...
Hi thanks for your reply - so you need to use apps2sd to move them - can't you use the application management application of android itself to do so.
Since the strange thing is this - if i do not have sd card inserted and i try to move app from phone storage to sd card - using the android application management - i get an error unable to move application not enough storage, yet if i have sd card inserted then app is moved. The weird thing is that the app is moved to the internal memory not the external sd card - so why do you need to have an sd card inserted to move app?

Not possible only thing to do is to swap your internal memory for sd ext.
Need root for that and mod to swap.
It will make your sd card internal memory 64 gb and your internal 16 gb will beed read like external music pictures ect.
Why there is no way to move or install apps on SD?
Most of phone have this simple thing...!!!

For those large game files. (although I have yet to see a 4 gb game..) you can use directory bind. You link a certain directory (in this case a game data folder in android/data) to make the game use your micro sd memory card. Myself Using XOLO Q800.
previously:
sdcard->sdcard0
sdcard1-> null
sdcard0-> internal memory
But When i inserted my sd card . It swapped the sdcard-> sdcard0
sdcard0->memrory card
sdcard1-> intenral memroy
so u just insert fresh memory card.
copy the entire internal memory (where past games sd-data stored) to fresh memory card.
change the installation preference to "system decide"
now Reboot.
So changing installation location will place the obb file on sd card....does this has any demerits??

Check again what it shows you in settings.
You need to root your phone to completely move apps

1. Root your phone
2. Flash cwm ( you will void warranty, flash stock rom to regain warranty)
3. Flash a rom which detects an external sd card as phone storage
4. Enjoy
5. link2sd app might also work but I havent tried it out myself

search it for the tutorial in this forum
1. Make Ext4 Partition in your SDCard.
2. Open LINK2SD and select EXT4 from the popup.
3. Start linking all the apps you want to.
