I registered my in gmail only for the phone for a year ago, i usually not use other mails than my hotmail account. I cant remember my password to the gmail account, also the security answer for gmail

You're boned in that case. Time to bite the bullet (or you could sit around for another week waiting for an answer that's not going to come & be without your phone).

Isn't there a way to use adb to delete the file that contains the pass code lock?

there is a backup email in the Gmail account restore, maybe u were Lucky to put ur Hotmail address there?
another way u can use:
go to recovery make full backup
Flash New rom
transfer backup to computer
locate What u need

Nope, this phone was never been "touched". I dont have an idea how to do it, can some one please send a link or something

oh boy....
try this.
Or ask Gmail support to help.
I mean, don't even consider doing a hard reset because of a forgotten password...............

Hmm this story sounding fishy... stolen?

Doesn't matter, it's an SII that needs help.
Anyways, if it is stolen, the owner will locate it via samsung dive (and now he's reseting the phone ).

Why the hell should the phone be stolen if i want the data ? It is important for me the data. I can send a pic of my phone and the conract i got from Telia.
I need to rescue the data of this phone, please help me to bypass it.

What type of data is it?
You should be able to just copy it from internal/external via USB, Just boot into recovery and mount USB via storage menu.

[Q] Help! How to backup phone without screen?

Smashed my SG2 sceen, it's going off for repair and I'd like to make a ROM image back up but I can't see the screen. Any tools out there that can do this from the PC?
I've used the screencast function in Droid Explorer to make a Titanium Backup but I'd like a full ROM backup for extra peace of mind.
Any ideas?

i think you can do via adb in recovery but i dont know the commands

I'm not certain. That's why I said "try". I've never attempted it, so I don't know if it would work. The idea to do it in adb while in recovery is a better one though. A bit embarrassed I didn't think of that instead of the MHL idea.

Post the commands in the thread when you're done; if someone happens to search (I know, I'm dreaming) they may find this thread and you'll be a God like hero to them.
Edit: Quoted the wrong person because I'm a dumbass.
Exact same post within the last few months a search of that may help .

I used this in the end. And it seems to have worked. Was a bit nervous doing it though. Now just got to wipe the phone and put on the stock rom ready to go for repairs!

have a heart, help me

Guys i need help.my little brother was playing with my phone and he somehow deleted the contact and phone apk. I checked on settings>applications>all to see if they were still there but they're not. I would really appreciate if someone can upload the stock ics dxlp7 phone and contact apk. I can't make a call or check contacts since it's gone.or if you could tell me how i can restore them
Have you tried downloading the rom and flashing it over?
Why don't you extract them from the system/app from the "yourromsname".zip and use root explorer and place them in system/app fix the permissions to match the others and reboot

It's not the only option. It's just AN option. You should be able to re-flash a non-wipe package of DXLP7, and you shouldn't lose anything other than root. But you're not rooted anyways.
EDIT to add: question though. If you're not rooted, how did he delete system files?
EDIT 2: I should also note that any other solution for you will probably require root.

Guess I'll have to download the ROM and.reflash it...
I think factory reset will only wipe user apps but won't recover system apps.
Here it goes, stock phone and contact apks from LP7
root needed
Even if he has the apks ... he's not rooted so how are you going to push to system?

None rooted phone with no way of exploring the system folders . Not possible to delete the APK only to delete the shortcut .
Factory reset will recover system apps as they are in the flashed saved firmware cache but it will delete data but that can be backed up .

I have esfile explore even though I'm not rooted. Maybe he somehow deleted stuff while messing around with esfile?
Maybe he is smarter than you?

Do a full wipe in the dialpad ( *2767*3855# ) and create a new account in Google setup so you can use the phone again.

Go to Google Accounts and click on the link Can't access your account?. Follow the prompts to reset the password, that way your friend won't lose any apps associated with her current account.
But she even forget the google account email and the secondary email
What will be delete after wiping?
because she dont hv sd card in the phone
Will the photos be deleted?
any method to backup things in the phone??
Thanks
the only option for you left is the FULL WIPE and by doing that you will lose all the data...

By the data, do u mean including the photos ?
is wiping mean to delete everything and restore to a new phone?
Thank you.
If she has totally forgotten her account she will also lose all apps she has paid for, anything she has backed up to Google (contacts, calendar, etc) or at least she will have lost access to them
Seems your "joke" isn't so funny now
Forgot it all is fishy and smells like someone does not own the phone in question .

[Q] EFS

I would like someone to help me understand what exactly efs is.
A friend of mine will give me a rooted galaxy s2. I am currently a nexus s owner.
I know root and flashing stuff but i don't know what exactly efs is. I have heard that i need to back it up before doing anything to my phone.
How can missing efs harm my phone? Not to boot up? Does nandroid, back up efs too? How can i backup / restore it? I have also heard about an app that does that work but what if my phone doesn't boot?
Please, help me understand it.

Well EFS is the folder on ur phones memory wher all the smartphone data like WIFI, Bluetooth Mac address and the phones IMEI no are stored.
so a mess up with the same and ur phone will not wrk normally ie to say , No wifi connection or Blutooth devices connection or even no netwrk (if IMEI no is messed up).
So its always important to Back up ur 'EFS' Folder once u root ur phone and start using Custom ROM/Kernel etc.
Also Some Custom Kernel's like Siyah, Dorimanx etc will 'Auto backup' ur 'EFS' folder if u install the same
U can also BKP using 3rd party apps from play store
So that u can utilize this backup to restore all the imp data, if ur phone gets messed up for some reason
Hope this is clear for u

Thank you so much.
So, a missing efs folder can't cause bootloop, right?
Can i backup that folder by simply making a copy on my pc?
If i use a 3rd party app to backup efs and switch to another rom, i just reinstall the same app and, if there is a problem, restore the folder?
Which app do you suggest? is kTool good?
If i don't make a backup and i find a problem coming from efs, can it be fixed?
i would also like to ask something else...
on my nexus s i always boot into cwm recovery an flash whatever i want (roms, kernels...)
but i read that many people are using odin. i am not very used to this app so, is it safe to do it "my" way?
please answer my previews post, too
Somebody please help...

EFS folder can make your device unusable.
Ktool is a good app to back up EFS.
It's always good to save a backed EFS folder in your computer plus another back up saved in your device.

Recover your google account password to see if you can sync them back. Otherwise, that's it, you don't have a backup, so not sure what you want to do.
I thought I can find a way to restore them because I didn't deleted anything... Just flashed another rom....

Flashing a custom rom without wipes is usually a no go. If you didn't end up with a bootloop it's most probably because the zip made the necesary wipes, or it deleted the stock messaging and contact apps before replacing them with the rom's own apps.

I lost all contacts when I sold my old phone without backing up contacts.
But if you had the sim on non-android phone before (like me), maybe some of the contacts are still stored there?
