Hey.. I say this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRWNLSmW3MU and i try it to my evo 3d with custom jb rom and it doesent work..i have the right cable but it doesnt find my camera on my evo.. any suggestion to change settings in evo to work ????;/ thank u!!!:good:

I don't believe the Evo 3d supports USB host.

You will need a working OTG cable, and the right kernel. Here is a thread on here that has a ton of info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1934380

It works if you install it properly and use the right OTG adapter. I've used it myself with flash drives and other USB devices.
Are you able to supply power with the one you are using? The Evo 3D does not have the ability to power USB devices so you need one like this.
Try reading through this thread.

Not with the Evo 3D. There may be other phones that support it.

Does the Wiimote app work?
Nope
Sent from my Galaxy S II using XDA App
Expected it wouldn't work, since this will be using Samsung's own BT stack, and not the stock Android one (which is the only one that works with the WiiMote app). Guess we'll be sticking to BT keyboard/mouse for controlling the SGSII, just like the SGSI before it. USB gamepads may work though, with the USB OTG ability, wonder if any owners can try that out for us?

CM7 USB Host/OTG

Not a lot of information available, but the implication is that it's been enable, but not tested. I *really* want a physical keyboard at times. Has anyone got one to work?

Is the usb otg working in the overclocked rom build by succulent? I have it installed at it mentions additional storage:/mnt/usbdisk in storage settings and has CifsManager installed by default. You can find the CM7.2 rom by searching iamafanof with Google.

That is the very one I was referring to. I'll try contacting him directly...
EDIT: The last few posts in his blog indicate No-Go.

Weird, I'm using an OTG cable w/ CM7 installed, and I can't seem to connect my USB keyboard. I have installed Nook Tweaks, but it still doesn't work. Any help?

The NT is not yet OTG capable. It needs to be enabled in a kernel.

unfortunately I still can't get WiiremoteController (or w/e the app is called) to recognize my wii controller :/
Is there something I'm missing? I heard there are extra steps in getting it to work on most HTC devices.. or is that what you did? haha
I had thought what I did would allow the controllers as well, but only had a kybd to test.
Sorry guys.

I just read that the new software update that dropped today has "improved" Bluetooth drivers, maybe now something can be done to get game pads to work?

Quick bump for an awesome area of development. I am really hoping to see BT connectivity for video game controllers. Extra thanks to any extra attention that can be given in this direction. Now that we have S-off, should be way easier, right? (j/k j/k wink wink nudge nudge)

[Q] OTG support on XT1022 (Stock/CM11/PA)

Is there a way to get OTG support on Moto E so that it supports flashdrives, gamepads, mouse and keyboard and etc?

No no no... I tried everything.... Not possible....

May be tweaking kernel may allow usb OTG. Because Moto E has USB OTG API but it just doesnt have OTG supporting kernel. It also has USBhost 1 , USBhost 2 etc.... and also Mouse pointer Settings , Trackpad settings etc inbuilt.... There should be someway to enable the OTG support in the kernel. Hope somebody does it .... !!
Please help guys... Its an important feature.. Please create a kernal to enable otg.
Its not just the kernel. The port should be able to deliver enough power, which is highly unlikely.
So, even if a kernel enables it, you'll need a Y cable to provide external power, and a power source.

It might, and thats a big might, be possible.
A compatible kernel, a Y cable, and an external power source might work, but its certainly not worth the trouble.

I find it hard to believe.. Coz.. Many people reported, that ut was working on ine of the previous version of Android on moto e.. Though with limited support and with specific app (nexus media importer/ es Explorer).. But it worked.. Which means.. Micro USB port is not an issue. And only issue is kernal or the software part...
Am i missing something here? .
I also tried Quallcomsettings today to enable the OTG with no success.

I'm not sure I saw anyone confirming it. However, if it was supported, it should have been promoted by Moto as it would be another aspect that would set the device apart from competition.
Though I do have an E running stock 4.4.2. Will check out and see if it actually works.
Btw, if you have unlocked your bl, why don't you revert to 4.4.2 and see for yourself..
