Hoping this kind of case exist - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Has anyone seen a case that covers the whole back. I don't really use my kickstand and I think it would look pretty sweet.

Seidio convert covers the whole back, and it has a rubber flap to protect the camera/flash as well.

I just got mine in the mail today! Looks very similar to the CaseMate Barely There, but the camera is better covered and no cut-out for the kickstand. Only $6 shipped on ebay! First impression is that it's a nicely made case surprisingly! I'll post a pic in a few minutes.

What color is your Evo?
Well, actually I guess it doesn't matter. I have a black one and a white one. I'll just take pics of each of of then in the case so you, and/or anyone else interested, can see how they look once in the case. I know that, at least for me anyways, it really helps seeing the actual phone in the case. Most ebay sellers just show pics of the case (or whatever other item I'm looking at), and you don't know for sure items will actually look, and you just have to imagine it. Seeing how the item looks in use, no matter what the item is, really helps me make a decision!

Issues with sprints free case...

so like everyone else I also got the free blue silicone cell phone case for my LTevo in the mail shortly after getting my LTevo. I put it on my phone the day i got it and have not taken it off until today. I noticed when i took it off the silicone gel case made the back plastic part of the phone VERY rough, almost sticky. has anyone else had an issue with this???
I think calling the EVO LTE "LTevo" is lame.

I've been using the blue silicone case since I got it and it has not caused this issue for me. Sorry. You could try going to Sprint and swapping it for the gray Body Glove case the were also sending people.

I got a gray hard case with a built in kick stand, it if actually pretty nice. The kick stand allows you to stand the phone up 3 ways. I am very pleased with sprint for this, something they didn't have to do they did..that means allot in the days of companies like Verizon charging 300+ for their newest cell phones just because people will pay for it. Sprint only charged $200 then something unexpected happened and they sent their customers a case for the troubles .. That just shows how much they care about taking care of customers.

I don't use cases on my devices usually, but I find myself nervous about dropping my EVO because of how large it is. I'm glad I got the grey one because I might actually use it where if it was blue and sticky silicone I never would.

This is the best thing to do.... Or paint it.....Or sand it down like others have done....
I carbon skinned it and it's doing great. Already survived a drop (unfortunately there's a small chunk out of the metal band :crying: though). Can't stand cases (I've tried 'em all) so I gotta live with it.
I'd like to know where to get a replacement back cover to experiment on (sanding, painting, skinning different materials) without messing this one up too much. Anyone know where to get an OEM replacement cover? Are these available yet?

Pretty much.

I would imagine so, as plastic allows the signal to transfer through much much better than metal/aluminum!! I know from experience as I had the Asus Prime(TF201), before upgrading to the Asus Infinity(TF700T) which has a plastic section on the top/back of the body. The Prime did not and suffered from poor Wifi, Bluetooth, and GPS performance. GPS is so bad that Asus sent out a free GPS dongle to all Prime owners who wanted one. The Infinity is amazing and gets great signal thanks to the plastic strip integrated in to the body.

In addition to what has already been said, our device isn't as popular as we'd like it to be so there's very little in the way of customized aftermarket parts. It's sad really, as it's nigh impossible to even find a plastic door with a different color.

Just thought of this, too: our battery door isn't just a piece of plastic. It also contains antenna strips necessary for our phones to work properly, so it's not as simple as just making molds of the part.

Only the EVO, all of the other HTC 2012 devices with NFC do not have any removable parts or doors. It is however located in the same area.
Actually all the antennas are under that plastic panel IIRC. So using metal isn't really a good idea. People already complain about poor signal using metal for the panel will have even more folks whining.

Safe to do as long as you can seal the inside. Those antenna strips have to be left dry.

Inside Scoop! Otterbox Commuter Update

I work at an AT&T in Ohio and we're getting Otterbox Commuter Cases for the e970 very soon. They're in stock at our distribution center just waiting for them to come to stores!
EDIT: bad news, we got the cases and they are definitely for sprint and we were instructed to send them back. Someone's in trouble -_-

Right, but considering the AT&T OG is larger than the Sprint version, meaning the cases won't fit each other, this is news.

Yeah - Looking for decent cases for it has been an adventure, to say the least. Especially for folks like me who really need a good solid protective one.

Diztronic FTW! My friend is ditching the otterbox for her HTC One X for a Diztronic case after seeing mine on my LGOG
I'm liking the diz case but for those who need superior protection or line of work requires lots of movement I move a lot of furniture a otterrbox is ideal. I got the best buy warranty so really if the front irc back breaks I'm going to get it replaced but for those who didn't get the warranty an letterbox is the best bet.

Looking for a thinner case that looks good with my white evo

I currently have the diztronic frosted/white tpu case on my white EVO. I loved it before it got really dirty looking. Anyone have good case recommendations for a white EVO. Pics if you have them. I would like to stay with a white grey or clear case if anyone knows one that doesn't get too dirty.
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
I know what ya mean. I have that same case and it begins to look a little yellow over time. I also have 3 of the Cruzerlite Androidified cases in grey, smoked, and clear. The clear one is begging to get the same yellowish appearance as the Diztronic matte clear is. I have a white generic brand hard case that looks good. It doesn't have a cutout for the kickstand like the Featherlite case does, but other than that they're almost identical. Biggest difference is mine only cost $6 shipped!! I've posted pics on another thread, but here they are again. I'll post them from my black Evo LTE (because they were taken with it) in just a minute.

There ya go. I'm super happy with it. Doesn't offer a whole lot of protection of course, but does against daily use. The sides come up high enough so that the display doesn't touch of you lay it face down, nice feature I think. Been super reliable so far and no color changing! I do swap between cases regularly, so I haven't used it a whole lot. It has been used as much as my Cruzerlite and Diztronic cases though, so it won't discolor as soon, is at all. It's also much easier to clean up. It has a nice soft touch feel to it also
EDIT: I can post a link to the eBay seller I bought from if you're interested.

That's gorgeous bro!! I LOVE it!!!
My first car was a 66 Mustang with a 289. I had it restored and just kept adding more and more to it over the next 2 years. Almost every dollar I made went on to that car. New paint, emblems, interior, suspension, wheels/tires, transmission rebuilt, motor rebuilt, etc. I was specifically looking for an old muscle car when I found it. I loved that car! Then I sold it and made a large down payment on my 98 GT. I was 18 at the time, and though I still love my 98 GT, I kick myself on the butt for selling the 66. I swore I'd never sell another car after that, lol. Still have my 98 too! I feel in love with the new body style of 05 the moment I saw them! A lot of that was due to their retro styling. I gave it a year to see how the new motor was, then ordered my 06 near the end of 05. Didn't part with my 98, so I just added a second Pony to the stable. Not really crazy about the 10 and up body, though they did make some nice improvements for the 12's and up. I can't decide if I want to get another mid 60's Mustang or a 90-93 notch/coupe Mustang (I'm not crazy about the hatchbacks) for my next Mustang.
My Dad bought a 98 Cobra about 1 month after I got my GT. It always sat in the garage under a car cover. Bone stock except for a K&N air filter, and only 23k miles on it!! He was going to let me buy it for whatever I sold my 98 for. I would occasionally drive it just to keep everything lubricated and to keep flat spots off the tires. I always did the oil changes to it too for the last few years, as I'm an automobile technician. I was driving it the day of my wreck! Totaled it! Sucks! I hate it so bad! I did by it back from the insurance company though to swap the motor and transmission in to my 98 GT. Thought about buying a Fox body notch too and putting the Cobra drivetrain in to it. Probably just gonna swap it in to my 98 GT though. Well enough of me talking cars on a phone forum! I just get carried away talking Mustangs once I start! Lol.
Congrats on your ride though, it is BEAUTIFUL!!
